You want to know why Maiden has so many fans? Like so many other metal bands they're real musicians playing real instruments incredibly well singing songs about real things.
They'll have generations of fans from teens to seniors.
No one ever said "remember that one summer I was into Maiden" , if you're a fan you're a fan for life.

Other bands have tour buses, Iron Maiden have their own 747! And Bruce Dickinson (the singer) is a pilot! First saw them in September 84, and they blew my mind!

I was 14 at the time, they were barely a month into the tour so were still very fresh and energetic. That Live video they did in Long Beach was near the end of the tour and they looked tired. Earlier that year I got to see Whitesnake a month before Jon Lord left, Cozy Powell was on drums and John Sykes on guitar! They don't make'em like that any more!

That concert was in Santiago, Chile, the home of Iron Maiden. We are a small country, so filling the "National Stadium" with a metal band is incredible. And I love to say that I was there.. :') \m/

Even on the "Best of the Beast" compilation "Fear of the Dark" is the only song that is live performance and not the studio version. I think that Iron Maiden made it specifically for live performances and the crowd singing along.
I prefer most Maiden songs live tbh, songs feel more alive. And the crowds are usually insane!

Iron Maiden great my man. Bruce Dickinson is one of my favorite vocalists of all time, and it shows. That crowd is also their driving forces for their music. Their harmonization is so great as well!
Pranav Gandham they are honestly one of the best bands that I can remember when it comes to the guitars harmonizing. I think they were one of BFMV biggest influences because they do it really well too.

Two days ago they were here in Trieste, Italy and believe me: the energy you felt coming from this song is real and when you see them live, that energy is enhanced, amplified a thousand times!It starts with the first note and goes on well after the last note of the last song of the concert.
Every musician of this group is extremely talented, but most of all they enjoy what they’re doing and put fans at the first place. These are the reasons why I’ve been a fan of Iron Maiden for 30 years and I’m still here today loving them.

I WAS THERE GOD DAMN IT!!! This show was made in Santiago, Chile! My FUCKING country! It was amaaaaazing like any Iron Maiden Live show! We were 50000 people banging every single song of these amazing musicians! Now in october they are going to play again and of course I'll be there again. Goosebumps the whole video!

I've been listening to iron maiden since 1980's, first album I heard was "piece of mind", was absolutely phenomenal band , Bruce, Nicko, Adrian, Dave, and Steve were the ultimate lineup and their albums are amazing and very powerful.

This was the first official song I heard, introducing me to Iron Maiden (despite my awareness of them for a couple of years). It appeared on a metal compilation called "Masters Of Metal Volume I" in 1984. My first metal album as well. The Trooper quickly became my favorite song on that mix.

I was in that concert! Actually, next to one of the flares, it was just awesome! Well, I've seen them 5 times already here in Chile, and they recorded that Show here, so it was just awesome!

I love the song, I love Iron Maiden. That, among others, was one of my anthems when I was deployed overseas. Gotta admit, a little Barry Manilow helped me wind down when I needed to sleep. I find it a little unsettling seeing him with the redcoat on and the ACU trousers. I hadn't seen this performance, but that mixture of uniforms fucks with me.
The song is so great that as soon as the first riff starts all they have to do is to line up on the stage and go on with playing...and that crowd of 100000 ppl is cheering with tears in their eyes :)
