I knew the word from somewhere -- and I knew where it came from, but it didn't automatically process.
It's been a long long time since I read Homestuck so I had to Google that, and one helpful bit from the Homestuck wiki is: "Auspistice is a portmanteau of 'auspicious' (fortunate, promising) and armistice (truce)."
