      So unimpressed with Subaru. My Ford is at 208,000 miles on its original clutch and bearing. We've had 4 Fords with manuals, all made at least 180,000 miles (before rusting out in the Michigan salt season), none have ever needed clutch work.

      @@RoccoReviews True. I live in a flat area and do a lot of highway miles. Environment matters too. Also just a look on JustRolledIn shows that a sufficiently clueless driver can completely grenade a clutch in 50 miles.

    Not sure what year that is but I've got a 2007 that's on it's 7th or 8th throwout bearing. I can't seem to get one to last. They always have a little squeal or noise unless you ride your foot on the clutch and slightly depress the pedal. Actually had one blow up on me a few hours from home and had to tow it back home. Car has 250K on it.

    • @tomjohnson6036
      @tomjohnson6036 2 роки тому

      @@PineHollowAutoDiagnostics it’s just the bearings. I think I’m only on my second clutch. It’s like there’s something wrong with the way it releases and the bearing rides ever so slightly on the fingers of the pressure plate so it’s constantly spinning and gets prematurely worn and starts squeaking. I did see someone had modified theirs to have a spring pulling slight tension back on the clutch fork to get it to release all the way. After the first one blew up I get nervous and change it when it starts making noise.

    • @PineHollowAutoDiagnostics
