Anyone else like me who didn't really get into the pro scene until after remastered? When I was coming up on BW 20 years ago I was playing straight UMS, with the occasional fastest/BGH, and like RIGHT before SC2 dropped I was getting into actual 1v1 play as a teenager, but then it was SC2 -> LoL -> other games, always coming back to SC BW once in awhile, but not enjoying the pro scene until remastered. I mean I knew the big names like Flash, Boxer, Jaedong, etc., but I didn't go out and find VODs or anything to watch, maybe it was less accessible back then. Loving it now. Almost 30 gang rise up.
BGH is always a classic. But i really enjoyed thise zeroclutter maps that came out where 6 players just cheesed certain units and smashed them. Fun times.
I've been watching since '03. The amount of content back then was significantly less and substantially harder to access but even watching crappy quality in Korean was awesome to see. Not having a favorite race, my faves at the time were Reach, Oov, and yellow. All monsters... But when a player by the name of Savior started dominating I became a zerg fan for life. I think he got into a little trouble later on though... Moletrap did the whole '04 Ever OSL a year or 2 ago, highly suggest a watch. Plus you get to see the greatest gamer tag of all time: Good Friend.
guys remember, if you see a zerg egg pop and it is a drone, you know it is a drone. if you see a hydra you know it is a hydra. Also, not sure why we assume Dewalt is not a cheater, he is a Russian after all.
10:14 the Year is 20XX, protoss players take advantage of the super speed glitch when units collide a certain way by creatimg a set up (notice the 2 Zealots dashing right), and now everyone plays protoss to zealot speed rush their opponent. Honestly though, someone get SockFolder on this ASAP! Really surprised a set up to this hasn't been discoevered yet
Yep I was so angry watching live on his stream. He uses maelstrom every time on ladder. No way he should have won the series, I think he also didn’t use reavers enough. He’s gonna win a title soon either way tho
I'm by no means an expert here, but shouldn't Dewalt have made Reavers at some point to try to kill Hydras more easily instead of relying on Psi Storms??
i remember RT teaching about consistent AOE splashing with Reavers both sides seems down to the wire when the probes and drones came out. hydralisk is still too painful to big sized.
Too bad for Dewalt but he fought hard. When his army on the right side was cut off from his army defending his base at 12, that seemed to sway the game into Yoon's favor. It was just that close.
Dewalt’s Dragon staying too long kill 3rd base hatch was the game losing mistake. He should always target the ones that is still mining. A dead base has no value to kill. He has every single chance to win, if he took out the Zerg 4th earlier. This game is freaky complicated
15:30 once again the lame "click button to storm" ... no skill you take 2-3 temple and instantly kill 80 hydra. what a bad ability. now I remember why I stopped watching starcraft. its boring like that 20:40 1 storm would have *won the defense* ...
I think it would've been really easy for yoon to just come in and destroy those expansions, every nexus is like 3 protoss units at most! Just ends up being so hard to refill their army + expand + map control. But Dewalt can definitely keep improving. I think he could've expanded in a few specific spots. idk. seems very difficult
what an insane game
That was really exciting. Dewalt is good hope to see more of him ;)

Pretty much, yeah!! >30 here, used to watch live way back in the day during highschool, then only got back into it over the last few years.

I just knew about the pro scene after remastered
24 yo here basically echo your sentiment

Crazy game, very unpleasant defeat.
loved every minute. I'm officially Dewalt fan now, wow
This might be one of the craziest games I have ever seen!!! Wow! Right up to the end
26:28 badass probes +3 armor I'm dying xD
Nooooo, nooo! Dewalt you had it! And you let victory out of your hands!
This is what my neighbors heard at the end 😂
@@sachib what?! When?
The amount of crazy ZvPs this year in both ASL and CNSL has been insane. Matchup of the year IMO
i can not believe he lost to drones
Very powerful game. big D showing he's a contender.
very nice game, I didnt think that those counter attacks would work
DeWalt don’t give up man! You got fans! I am a fan !
I know you will learn from these matches you will overcome, that’s who you are, an over comer!
Absolutely insane game, damn great show DeWalt!!!
AHHNOLD, is that you?
6:45
Great game! Really like Dewalt (always thought he’s from Poland wtf?!). Would love to see more such games!
Yoon incapable of pressing S Z to make zerglings lol
If you aint goonin, you aint livin brother
the goon within bro
Battle drones!
I agree - it was an exciting opening!
zerg is so busted, dewalt did so freakin good...
Wow what an insane game!
wild, wild game, it seems in every game yoon droned up without punish by Protoss
got chills what a game
Damn what a game.
what the hell happened with two zealots in around 10:15 ? did they got some super speed boost for a sec or what? ;o
Well know animation glitch, looks even funnier with hydras
I wonder if there is a consistent way to cause this. Seems like it can be useful for rushes.
I must say it looks very funny.
they had to go fast
Ahh, heartbreaking loss. Very good game though.
crazy match
26:05
tfw your templars actually just merge for once in they life
Dxracer
❤❤❤ ty arty!!!! Go dewalt and scan!
damn what an ending so close
Great game

kinda surprised to see zero ling against mass dragoon, upgrades left them in the dust i guess
Amazing scrappy game
Felt like Yoon was losing the whole time...and then he suddenly won.
craazy game
Wild game
Mutalisks were MvP. Dewalt needed dark archon to deal with them.

When only hydra maybe but yoon have mutas as well and they make reaver shuttle obsolete
i remember RT teaching about consistent AOE splashing with Reavers
both sides seems down to the wire when the probes and drones came out.
hydralisk is still too painful to big sized.
I wonder why no one doing build block on early 2nd bases
GOO DEWALT
Spoiler filler:

Wow! Just…. Wow.
Has Artosis every tried SC: evo?
19:16 8 kill dt gets into the third base. I think it woulda been better to send it to the 4th base but o well.
tight
Low quality of video, Artie, for some reason. Just like before.
Great quality of commenting as usual!
i think yoon wouldve landslided him in this one if he didnt do that initial attack. dewalt shouldve took his 3rd much earlier as arty pointed out
If Yoon had split some to kill the 3rd it was over.
Insanity
I think yoon plays really greedy against dewalt, most dewalt harassment can be stop with just scourge or sunken but yoon didn't even make 1

The high temps at the end just seem like a waste compared to some goons and zlots.
Definitely. If he had 3 goons instead of like 6 useless hts he holds that
Wow
i did click in the minimap :(

protoss is the worst race, they always lose and never win
I never see battle with draw.

firstttttttt
Dragoons are ridiculously weak against pretty much anything but overlords
It's hard to watch protoss with bad micro management. Thise goons were all around the place doing nothing
but you are like 1200 mmr lol
THE CHOKE HAHHAHA
Third
after 20 mins only 3 bases toss? Top player, rly?
