- Geode resin flower coasters
I used Barnes Clariti to make this resin flower. I also used white Castin Craft pigment paste and Pinata alcohol inks to create these 3D flowers.

Bonjour
C'est toujours agréable de vous entendre et voir vos videos..merci beaucoup..👍👍👍🌞🌞🌞
Very pretty !!! I like the bottom side more. The one with the more glitter and the petals look 3D. Julie it look's like you're almost to 200K. I'm so excited for you !!! Ok guy's let's get her to that 200K !!! She is an amazing Artist and she has earned it !!! 🥰
💐🤗💜👏👍💐
Each side is pretty in its own way. These's me not making a commitment! You do beautiful work. Thanks for sharing!
Love watching your videos I like the front and back of this coaster. Most of the coasters backs I don't like but this one I do. Keep up the great work. I love seeing your puppies and birds. Watching you do resin and pours. Been watching you for over 6 months and first time I wrote something. I watch your videos on TV so I can't really comment on them on TV. Can't wait to see more.
Keep the front side as thumbnail.
It was mind-blowing!
Wow
I think I like the front better. Such beautiful colors!
This one maybe one of my favorite ones ❤️ gorgeous
SO PRETTY, Julie! I think I like the more than the bottom.
This one is very, very pretty, love the teal and white. Looks like floaty chiffon. Like both sides of this one, especially if you decide to do that flood coat :)
I've notv to the end yet but want to say that your flop is pretty to me. I like the front side of the blue and white the best on the last one.. I look forward to watching more of these.
Love it both sides, but i think the front more delicate.🇨🇮🎨👏👏👏
Love your new introduction screen.
Beautiful!!! I like the front best I think. Looks more delicate.
My favorite is the backside. However I really like both. As for your flop, I thought it looked interesting.
"Out! Out! Damned Spot!" Lol....
Amazing flower Julie, you've got the best ideas....I love the pour side...
If you use the turntable on this size (and larger), you can find the most comfortable spot for making your petals and stay in that spot. Which side is better? Hard to say! The back shows such dimension - the petals absolutely look as though they are folding in on themselves, and the center is gorgeous! The front has the delicate beauty of a real flower. With the addition of more glitter in the center and the flood coat, I don't think either side will be better!!! 💖💖💖! Stay safe!!
Very pretty.looking forward to getting new ideas from you...thank you for sharing.
Very pretty love the blue
Both sides are beautiful
I’m new to your channel so I haven’t I learned that your sense of humor yet. You said “What do I know I’ve only been doing this six weeks?” Are you serious? You are so talented that I feel like you were joking!
Julie really has only been doing this for six weeks. She's learned so much and is so talented.
Stephanie Hancock she really is and I’ve learned so much along with her and haven’t had to waste supplies;)
Elizbeth Cook Julie is rockin the resin world!! I started watching for the paints because I did not know the color wheel per se, as I started to make tumblers, and then she started resin pouring and I’m hooked on Julie! Plus, I love the animals she shows
Back looks fantastic.
Wow is right! When drawing out the petals you might try a cake rotating stand to turn it as you draw. ❤️🌵✌🏻
don't change it, lovely as is
Soooo beautiful❣️ the front is most beautiful , please put a video of the when you "fix" the front glitter.... you are so so talented✨✨
I really like both sides but I think that the one with all the glitter in the center is the best but I would love to see you do a top coat on the other side thanks so much for sharing!!! Lol !!!
Just beautiful like it is.
Very pretty flower
I like the front just the way it is.
Stunning!
Both sides are Beautiful but I like the back side best. I think it shows more depth.
Very pretty.
Great result Julie
Very nice coasters
Love it with the background of your yard. Looks very pretty with that natural bright light in the background.
I vote for the front with a little for glitter. Both sides are pretty.
Absolutely stunning as usual, I like both sides dint think I could choose tbh. I haven't attempted these yet but I'm going to try using your methods rather than other ones I've seen where they just put lots of petal lines, much prefer the larger petals you do they come out so delicate 💕
I like both sides.
It is lovely!
I think I would like the pour side if you do a flood coat with more teal glitter😁💕
I prefer the front but love the back too, looks like lace
So pretty. Love the 3D effects. I like the side with the more delicate center. The other side is certainly pretty too but the large bold center draws one's eye away from the petals.
Beautiful 💙
Amazing job
I like the fail- it was lacey and colors were good. The blue 💙 looks better on the bottom.
Try drying layers of resin
Each with a different shade of your base color.
Will get a more 3D look.
Next time try one drop green to turn more teal.. it worked for me tel is my favorite color. Beautiful
That's so cool
Stunning I like the backside better
Sweet!
Loved it!!❤❤
You go girl, I hope it turns out beautiful. I'm praying 🙏 that this one will turn out like the pink one. Both sides turned out beautiful.
Love the flowers 🌺🦘🦋🐇🦩🇬🇧
I like the front. Another amazing piece.
I love the back (pour side), it's so wispy and free. I like the other side too. It is a piece that I would use both sides. I would flood coat it for sure!
I love the bottom. I think it turned out Gorgeous.
The nice thing about organic shapes like flowers is, they don’t have to be perfect. Speaking of organic shapes, do you think this technique would make nice clouds? Maybe a sunset?
Now I’ve got to do some flowers 🌼🌸🌻
Turned out beautifully I prefer the front
I like the front. (pour side)
Awesome Julie, perhaps you could print a pattern out and put it under a translucent mould as a guide, that said this one is looking lovely.
Another success!!! Love the front. This one and the pink are both amazing, but I have to say I LOVE the pink. Im just more of a pink girl. But they both turned out great! What about a pink and teal?
I think I prefer the back sides of both flowers. I find the thinner, wispier lines more appealing than the thicker lines, but both are really stunning. I also love that you combined the white with other colors to make the flowers something other than just white. Now I'm wondering if leaves can be made around the edges. I bet they can! Anyway, I love these resin projects much more than the acrylic pours. Thanks so much for sharing your learning process.
Love the colour you used! I think a flood coat with more glitter would be beautiful. Both sides are lovely. Great job...you really are having fun! 🥰
Awe I love it. I’m definitely NO expert but I was afraid the added castin’ craft to the blue would make it way blobby but I think this is definitely 1 of the only times I’ve liked the front better than the back and I’ll have to remember when/ how you added the glitter center bc it fell through just the perfect amount. Great job! TFS!😊
Draw your pattern on a piece of paper under your mold and then you can just follow the lines
That’s a great idea, I hadn’t thought of that. TFS😊
You are improving so quickly Julie. This is very beautiful.
This one on the back reminds me of a sea anemone floating in the water. The movement is beautiful!
That is just so Beautiful!! I wonder how it would look if you put a thin layer of black over the white?
Gorgeous Julie, I love watching your videos, learn alot!
This turned out so beautifully. Well done. 👏👏❤️❤️❤️♥️
gorgeous as always i do love watching you work and learn 💜 i find white dose really drain colour so i found it works better too add the colour first then the white. can you use pearl mica powders with this technique? i reckon you'd get even more depth with them . with the white, i've only ever known white alcohol ink to sink maybe switch it out for again a mica powder or just a tad of white acrylic paint? i really liked the finished effect even with the sunken colour it looks like folded in petals . can i make a request? just thinking this style with a sunflower vibe maybe yellow with interference gold and black holo glitter 😍
Julie, I can not keep up with you! 197k wow! Keep it up!
I think you have to have a thicker clear base than what you started with so the pigment has farther to fall and less would pool on the bottom
Love your new intro!! and that flower is absolutely gorgeous!! I am going to have to try this.
Put your tile on a cake spinner then you can just turn it when you are drawing your flowers. I love the back side!!!
I love your work, I search every day to see what you’ve done. Your work attracted me, but your attitude makes you one of my favorite artists, I watch your pouring videos and I don’t even do that art haha. PS I always press like 👍before I even watch lol.
Love both sides maybe front better. Could you do video of sanding an flood coat. Please
This is stunning 💙💙
I can't decide which side I like the best, it would probably come down to when you were using it, if you are looking for a delicate setup you would you the front, if you were going for a bold feeling you would use the back. Either side is beautiful
I actually prefer the front on this one - Really want to get into resin now, but I need to perfect my fluid painting before I tackle anything else :-) Vicki x
I love how the glitter on the right side has fanned out into spikes. It is more flower like than a round spot. I like the right side the most in this one. Most resin artists call this the wrong side. I guess they like a surprise every time they turn one over and that could get depressing in my case.
These are pretty, but i personally prefer your acrylic pouring videos.
جميل جدا جدا
I'd like the back better, but if you do what you said you was going to do I would like the front better. Great job, beautiful colors
Wow gorgeous! Love it. Question, I was watching some of your Bloom Pours and was wondering what make is the hair dryer blower you have been using? It's the straight one that you taped a cup on and I think it might be a brush hair dryer. 1000 watts. And where did you purchase if if you remember? Thanks! luv your channel!
Beautiful! Hugs ~Cheryl
Wowza! That is such a unique and beautiful version of a flower. The way the white petals turned out remind me of Cala Lillies. (I wonder if they are called the same thing in Australia..)
Hi. I watch your videos faithfully and love them. I was wondering if you put a little more clear in first you may not have so much white fall through to the bottom? I watched the pink one and tried it myself and it worked! You explained the process so well. Thankyou! I’ll keep watching 😉
I love both sides I enjoy watching your videos. Can I ask you two questions pls do you use pigment paste instead of using acrylic or micas and in one of your previous videos you used silicone oil what does that do please thanks for your help Kim
Hi! I really love your videos. They’re so relaxing & you’re so upbeat, bubbly & happy 🥰 I’ve got 1 complaint though. Your intro is always a lot louder than the rest of your videos, which means we have to lower & increase the volume all the time.
❤️
Hi. I show your all flower coasters and it's amazing. I tried but my white resin mix into another color resin and don't look like your's. Why?
so the little bit of resion u first put in then the three diff coloirs after is enought to reach the top of the mold? After the colors u don't need to put another clear coat on
I wonder if the pigment sets like it does from the air dryer u use on it in the beginning maybe its pushing it flat to the mold and making it spread out flat like that idk first thing that came to my.mind when u mentioned it
So pretty!! Thank you for sharing, I love it. Can you tell me what type of heat gun you use? Thanks again, take care.
Since it’s clear can you put a pattern underneath of the mold and then ‘pour’ over that pattern kind of tracing it? peggy
i confused.. you let the clear resin in the mold sit for 20 minutes and then you mixed the colors together or you let the colored mixtures sit for 20 minutes?
Did you use the same resin for both flowers? If not you’ll probably will get different results.
Do you sell your art? Not a print, I’m interested in original works of art. If so, where can I view what’s available?
Paula
why 2 diff whites?dont they do the same thing
P s I've never used resin, does it cause breathing problems? Do u need to wear a mask? I would like to try it if it's safe? Thanks Julie ❤🙂🙏
Full face respirator is recommended. It can cause breathing issues. Use in a well ventilated area, wear a face mask and dont touch anything with epoxy on it and touch your face & you'll be fine ;)
@@stephaniefernandez4507 Thanks a million Stephanie, much appreciated - very important to know as I have a auto immune condition so need to be careful. Thank you 🙂❤💫💜🙏
Yes a respirator is advised for most resins.
Also keep pets away, and if you get resin on your skin do not use a solvent to remove it, as it allows the resin to be absorbed into the skin.
