I love that each one is different and unique! Just like pouring paint, each one is different and unique and beautiful in its own way! Now I have the "life is like a box of chocolates" quote in my head but I'm gonna change it up. "Art is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get!"
I'm brand brand new to your channel, and please allow me to say... It was the white 'morphing' into those flowers just blew me away. I have zero experience with resin except to have ordered some that is sitting to this day calling my name. NOW I find your stunning coasters and I am so inspired!!! Thank you so so much for sharing! Very very pretty!
Gorgeous, it's so interesting how they change and are different when you are doing the exact same thing. I found if you let your resin sit for a bit then add your white and make your flowers it will get more wispy like the blue set
I love all of your art work. This may be off subject but I wanted to share. I have created a bedtime routine with my 6yo. We pick at random an art video to watch and wind down to. Your bling, bling, bling video was in the lineup and was chosen ❤️ we loved it! Then this one came on and my little girl could not stop talking about how she wishes she could see your face because your voice is so Beautiful! Just wanted to share with you a sweet moment you helped create here in Texas. Thank you
Wow your making my heart melt❤❤❤❤ Thanks so much a girl after my own heart . I do have a couple of craft room tours where I show my face. She may be disappointed lol. Thanks so much and thanks for both of you watching ❤❤❤🇨🇦
Sherry they are all absolutely beautiful. Your instructions are very clear thank you very much for sharing your creativity and knowledge with us. The purple ones are my favorite.💜
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching... yes I'm not a pink, purple kinda girl but love these ... could be that amazing glitter hahahah Have a wonderful day 🥰🥰🇨🇦
Love everything you do. Just a small hint. You can scratch your molds by placing items in them. For instance you placed your bottle of "muse" in the mold while you were mixing the muse into your resin., and also placed the cap of the muse bottle into one of the other molds. These scratches will show up on your cured coasters. Thanks for your detailed instructions and your beautiful creations.
These are the prettiest ones I've seen so far. What a briliant idea! It's almost impossible to get them the same or even similar. Heat, ambient temperature and the amount of pigment in resin has a lot to do with it. They are all beautiful though. Thank you for sharing.❤🤗❤
they all look great, it's amazing how they turn out like they do, with the difference being in each one, oh I wish I was gifted like you, even just a little bit, tks for showing us your work.
Beautiful! I'm so happy this northern Michigan girl found you! I love love love glitter, I can't get enough of watching you. I need to invest money and get supplies! I am so excited! Thank you for sharing!
Love them all! I haven't done coasters yet, but I do use a temperature gun to check my different color temps before pouring. @90° the colors will mix together, @105° the colors won't blend together. Must pour resins before 110°. I'm going to try your coasters real soon. Thanks for sharing!
Something I would suggest to help is that since the bottom of the first layer you make is the side you like most to just pour the background layer on top! It will reduce the risk of there being any disconnection between the two layers and there will be much less wear on the moulds! It’s helped me with my resin works. Regardless these look stunning!!
Thanks so much yes the initial reason for doing it this way was to avoid the ridges the you get with mold so when I flip the they are both smooth . Lol I now kore work then sanding hahahaha thanks so much for watching 😍🇨🇦
TrinityRose Designs as long as it isn’t popped out and then put back in beforehand and your mould is not damaged then no, I’ve never had anything leak past the previous layers!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WORK!! i love how each one is different- everything in life is not identical and besides it has great character to each one. If you ever saw a snowflake under a microscope there are none alike. The beauty of art is that everyone has a different style to share. Creativity makes art fun to enjoy in every way. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this and look forward to continue watching you create beautiful things. Is it possible the changing weather has anything to do with the process change? humidity really messes with resin and paint, I am really good at not paying attention to the weather and i have to go on my balcony to do my projects- I live in an apt. If you can - get a humidifier in your workspace where you lay your resin to dry, it will make a huge difference!
Purple just happens to be my favorite color, you did such a gorgeous job on these coasters. All I can say is I am happy to have discovered you on UA-cam this afternoon, I am subscribed!!!!!! One final comment on your coasters- WOWZA WOWZA WOWZA!!! 😊
Sometimes different colors have different setting times, so the blue one may have been that you let the cleat set up a little longer?? who knows, I'd let the clear resin sit a bit longer before putting in your flower pattern and then it won't spread as much. Great work! Thanks for sharing, I know its a year later, but I love your results. Also I'd number the mold spots to put the exact same one back into its hole so the hardened ones fit perfectly back into the spot they came out of, this may help eliminate the gaps or air pockets.
Amazing! Here's a tip to pop the bubbles without heat. Get a small spray bottle & fill it with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Spraying it over the resin will pop the bubbles and you will not risk moving your resin.
Beautiful! From what I remember from the blue coaster video, there are three things that could be different with the blue ones. 1: You used ghost pigment. White pigments seem to be denser, so they fall. Perhaps adding the ghost pigment made the white resin that much denser and more likely to sink downward instead of outward? 2: As you said, you heated your blue coasters’ resin which may have made it set faster leading to less movement, even if it took the same amount of time for each project. Also heating both the clear and the white resin rather than just one color would have kept movement to a minimum since temperatures would have been more consistent with each other, unlike the pink. Heat rises, so if one was colder than the other, it would create more movement as the hotter resin rises and cooler resin sinks. 3: The white resin was hot and already setting by the time you started piping it, so again, it wouldn’t have as much time to move around and spread out. I think this is the most likely cause for the effect you got with the blue coasters, but you’d need to try changing only one thing per project to narrow down what specifically helped you get the blue coasters’ effect.
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching yes I did some more and even waited almost 10 min then put the white in big different. Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
I have also experimented. The differences have to do with your resin temperature, room temp etc. after clear resin, if you let it sit before you put your white on, that will affect how much the white will sink to the bottom of the mold. I did one waiting 10 minutes, another waiting 20 minutes. I use East Coast resin so working time around 30 minutes. I even noticed a difference between my first coaster and my last one, again because of the time it took to do all the pieces. I love your flowers.
Those are pretty. You can pour the white flowers. Let them cure. Then take them out, pick the top, put it back in the mold top side down, and pour the glitter backs. This will prevent air bubbles and gaps. Happy Creating!! :)
HI, love them all, they don't have to be the same each time, I like the variety. For the blue one, I think its a case of letting the white resin cure longer before you pipe out so it doesn't disperse as much into the clear resin, its all about timing which is easier said than done! Have fun trying 💜
Edna, are you saying to let it cure longer in the bag before piping it out, or do not let it cure as long in the bag? I loved the look effect Sherry got with the blue one and the open petals. TIA!
They’re all sooo beautiful!!! This is the first time I’ve gotten to watch one of your videos :) I definitely think the idea (at the end) of selling them in mixed sets of 4, with one from each different grouping is a fanatic idea!! So, I also heard you mention a few times that you couldn’t figure out why the outcomes all have a very different vibe between each set & even subtle differences within the same batches. Truly, the only way one (might) be able to actually get close to an exact replication with these kinds of processes would be through robotic production. The simple facts of being humans who are, when creating artwork - especially that involves fluidity, the reasons for those varied effects are innumerable. When an artist is working, we are standing in an *exact* spot (whichever one it happens to be) & on this specific planet, at that exact moment in time. So the temperature, even within a few degrees, actually effects every single spot & item in the room and each of the fluid component being used - even the air within the space is a unique factor each time we begin our work. Those are the base factors that generate the endless possible variables at any given point in time & space. So if there are so many uncontrollable variables in our experiment, which ones would we be able to potentially effect enough change on to get at least a very similar outcome in our design? If I was very invested in recreating my artwork, which occasionally I am so I’m often regretting my lack of records, I would & should video record every single time I’m working on any project! Even if i don’t plan on posting it, that’s the best way to get all of the potential info needed, time/date/location already stamped for you too! There are certainly a number of ways (and reasons) to keep thorough records as an artist. Videos are easily the best way to cover the bulk of those reasons! Also being very intentional, as you were here, in noting in the video all product specs, methodologies, discussing changes (what worked/what didn’t) and how adjustments were made. As these are all aspects of the work you want to have records on. Whether it’s for recreating something or marking/sales etc., they’re just good to have on hand for all projects & video takes the least amount of work to document all of those details. For the information needed to learn the answers to this quandary, I would take the video of the piece(s) you’re hoping to recreate + one that I’m the group which feels the most different from it. Then I would watch/listen to each one closely, alternately & repeatedly to see what small differences I can pluck-out of them. Record that data!!!! Then go through & test changing one variable at a time, in order to isolate which one(s) are effecting the outcome of the artworks & maybe even learn why it’s happening and/or how to adjust it if possible! Sorry for the long post, but I’ve thought a lot about it & you seemed to be genuinely quite curious about the topic :) Nice to meet you!
Wow your amazing thanks soooooo much I will have to go back to my video and watch it again lol Love the advice we all can learn something new 🥰 thanks for watching 🇨🇦🥰🥰
Natalie Marshall I LOVE your post!!!! It could be very helpful with anything .....like a recipe...for artist’s! Right? Lol! I would truly love to create things of resins! God
Natalie Marshall sorry....hit the send button instead of my backspace button....Lol! Just wanted to finish with God Bless & have a great day✝️🙏🏼💜✨😁🥰❤️🇺🇸
Omg I love you ! Thank you much for showing us these AMAZING crafts ! 😍❤️ My sister and I are starting a business and on the way home I was thinking of coasters for the website thinking how the heck does it work and where do we start, as well as other stuff,,,,,, and HERE YOU ARE with this majestic beauty ! Peace and many blessings 🙏
Thanks sooooo much your to kind 🥰 So what is your new business? Please share.... I'm having to figure out pricing 😜🤔😬 lol Thanks so much for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
OMG! You've had this video out over a year and I just now saw it! It's amazing! The blue one is definitely the best! But they are all gorgeous! New subscriber here!! Thank you for sharing your talent and secrets with us!!!! 😍
The difference in your coasters probably have something to do with the weather, as in the resin was warmer in the last one and the first one and colder in the others. That is my theory anyway. Love the way you do them. But boy a lot of work. I see others just do the one layer but I do like the way you do them because I am with you I don't like the back of them either. So you cover up the not so nice side. Great idea.
Tha is so much and thanks for watching 🥰 Yes I did more off camera and yes it was the temperature. I warmed up the resin and that was it lol thanks again 🥰🇨🇦
The differences could be alot of different things .. like the additives that you have put into each one or how hot you get each one when your getting rid of the bubbles. Then how much it cools down before you add the other stuff. And the temputer and humidity changes in the area your making them .. it's alot like glazing pottery.. in that you can do the exact same steps and measure amounts accurately but so much of it revolves around the chemistry even more and we just really can't control that part thus things just turn out different no matter how much we try to do the same exact things... None the less I have to say they are soooo beautiful and cam imagine they look even more awesome in person !!
Love the colors 😍 they came out amazing I've seen others scratch the bottoms of the first layer that's dry with sand paper or a knife lightly and then they lay them onto the second pour for a good bond great informational video tho😊
Im one of ur newest fans! I love that u can do more than one thing! I appreciate all of what I have seen u do so far! How can I not? Ur videos are.so enjoyable AND I have learned so much... Again, thank you!
Just a tip, I’ve found if you wait until the epoxy is thick like 30 mins depending on your brand it won’t spread as much if you want a defined look. But they are still beautiful! .
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. Yes I've been letting it sit for almost 30 min before I start it does make a huge difference thanks again 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Don’t forget to go slow when you unmold and show finish product;) you need a small creme brûlée torch to lightly get bubbles out, don’t be scared, but makes it glass clear, let your resin sit maybe a minute longer then normal so that white has a chance to 3D effect and not be to hot and melt. The gun you are using is heating the resin but NOT popping bubbles like torches do. Even a long lighters don’t be scared of the fire, I’m up to real torches now lol. Light little pops and don’t stay too long in one place and you’re fine:):)
You don’t want to use any heat at all on silicone molds! To release the bubbles, LIGHTLY spritz with 91% alcohol. I get a small water bottle from Walmart. The kind you put water in to spray and wet your hair. I find it in the beauty section near where they keep the travel size shampoo, toothpaste, etc. I put my alcohol in that and hold the bottle a foot above my molds and spritz. It pops all bubbles. Works perfectly. With heat you can melt the mold and ruin it. Your piece will be permanently stuck in the mold. If you do get it out you’ll rip the silicone. So no heat!
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 🥰 yes it is crazy how it does affect it.I really think it's the temperature. I still love them all but the blue are my favorite 🥰🇨🇦
It looks amazing! Looking forward for you to figure the blue piece out! I’ll definitely stay tuned! Maybe I’ll see you on Instagram too! Your pieces are definitely better then many out there! ❤️
not the temperature but it has to do with resin curing time. you should wait to put your piping resin in the clear until it has thicken like 15 -20 minutes or so depending on the brand of resin you are using when the resin has started to cure it will get thick and your piping will not mix into it so much and keep maintain its structure ( its shape
This was exactly what I was thinking. It’s going to depend a lot on how long you spend in between your steps. If you work quickly you will most likely have more blending and less definition
Maybe if you let your white sit for about 15 or 20 minutes before you put it in the clear resin, it would do what you want like the blue one. Personally I love how the purple one came out! I may have to try this!!
They turned out pretty. Can I offer just a little advice? If you used a better resin, you wouldn't have so many bubbles, that resin is for beginners and you are not a beginner. Also, never stack your coasters on top of others as they will scratch. I learned that a long time ago...I had no idea they would. Resin has to fully cured for 3 days...and to be honest..I always let mine cure 1 week before stacking them. Please don't take my suggestions the wrong way....or just delete the comment if you want, But when your coasters look this pretty...they would be beautiful with a good resin. 😁
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. 😍😍😍 No I would never be offended I'm relatively new to resin so I bought what I could afford at the time. So yes I will be upgrading lol thanks so much for the advice 😍😍😍😍😍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I am the very worst at coasters. These are stunning, So, thanks to you, I guess I'll haul them back out because these are so beautiful and I want them lol
These are so freaking cute. Even my husband is blown away. And we love that they're not the same. You're right... they're all beautiful!
I love that each one is different and unique! Just like pouring paint, each one is different and unique and beautiful in its own way! Now I have the "life is like a box of chocolates" quote in my head but I'm gonna change it up.
"Art is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get!"
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. Yes it is like a box of chocolates lol 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
The difference is the time your resin sat. It gives a different effect at different curing stages. Great technique. I learned something from you.
WOW they are all so different but soooooo beautiful!!!! I think the fact that they are different makes them more unique 🥰
I'm brand brand new to your channel, and please allow me to say... It was the white 'morphing' into those flowers just blew me away. I have zero experience with resin except to have ordered some that is sitting to this day calling my name.

Thanks so much and I think the temperature as well I warmed my resin up when I made the blue ones as well..... thanks for watching 🥰🇨🇦

Amazing! Here's a tip to pop the bubbles without heat. Get a small spray bottle & fill it with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Spraying it over the resin will pop the bubbles and you will not risk moving your resin.
I’ve only just discovered your website.
These are the nicest coasters I’ve seen, they’re FANTASTIC
Thanks sooooo much yes I heated the resin and it did make a difference thanks so much for watching 🥰🇨🇦
love these coasters thank you for sharing your techniques, very good an easy to follow instructions
Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
This technique is gorgeous, im going to try this soon, I like making half at a time instead of trying to jumble it into one mold
They look like fireworks! Very cool.
That would cool with multi coloured glitter in the second layer....... thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Those are pretty. You can pour the white flowers. Let them cure. Then take them out, pick the top, put it back in the mold top side down, and pour the glitter backs. This will prevent air bubbles and gaps. Happy Creating!! :)
They are all gorgeous! Very informative.
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
What a cool technique. They are all amazing. A green set would go well with the other colours. Thanks for the video.
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 🥰 great minds think alike that's what I was thinking 🥰🇨🇦

@@AndreaStevens2012 yes, let the white become thicker before piping. The timing is the tricky bit, it depends on what resin is used.

Then go through & test changing one variable at a time, in order to isolate which one(s) are effecting the outcome of the artworks & maybe even learn why it’s happening and/or how to adjust it if possible!
Sorry for the long post, but I’ve thought a lot about it & you seemed to be genuinely quite curious about the topic :)
Nice to meet you!
Wow your amazing thanks soooooo much I will have to go back to my video and watch it again lol Love the advice we all can learn something new 🥰 thanks for watching 🇨🇦🥰🥰

I love the colors. I’m not sure what it is but, the glitter in the center like that makes it look a little like a child’s work.
These are so beautiful! Thank you for making this video.
Hi Sherry, all I can say is WOW!!!!

Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Wow just stunning. Love them
Loving the purple ones.😍😍😍😍
Yes me to the turned out really nice . Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🇨🇦
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching and I will be trying this the next time 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Love the colors 😍 they came out amazing I've seen others scratch the bottoms of the first layer that's dry with sand paper or a knife lightly and then they lay them onto the second pour for a good bond great informational video tho😊
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 😍😍😍🇨🇦

They are so gorgeous! The white flowers would make beautiful Christmas Tree Ornaments.
Love the black and purple 💜
Just a tip, I’ve found if you wait until the epoxy is thick like 30 mins depending on your brand it won’t spread as much if you want a defined look. But they are still beautiful! .
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. Yes I've been letting it sit for almost 30 min before I start it does make a huge difference thanks again 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
LOVE THESE! I am learning to do resin and absolutely love your videos :)
Thanks so much. Yes I have to get better at the big reveal lol. I do have kitchen torch will have to go back to using it. 🥰🇨🇦
So no heat!
Thanks sooooo much I already have some in a bottle 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
@@EmilyMineDesigns Good tip!
Love the fact you mentioned you don’t have to cover them and can “mass produce” haha!! My place is small so anything helps!
Lol I know right sell sell sell hahahah 🥰🇨🇦

These turned out awesome! over the comparison at the end. Its always cool to see what little differences can do in the resin :)
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching 🥰 yes it is crazy how it does affect it.I really think it's the temperature. I still love them all but the blue are my favorite 🥰🇨🇦
Wow! The pattern is so pretty. It would be nice to put a cup on this tea coaster and drink tea.

Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🇨🇦
It looks amazing! Looking forward for you to figure the blue piece out! I’ll definitely stay tuned!
Maybe I’ll see you on Instagram too! Your pieces are definitely better then many out there! ❤️
Thanks sooooo much and thanks for watching. 😍😍😍🇨🇦
not the temperature but it has to do with resin curing time. you should wait to put your piping resin in the clear until it has thicken like 15 -20 minutes or so depending on the brand of resin you are using
when the resin has started to cure it will get thick and your piping will not mix into it so much and keep maintain its structure ( its shape
Wow thanks so much will try this next time🥰 thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🇨🇦
This was exactly what I was thinking. It’s going to depend a lot on how long you spend in between your steps. If you work quickly you will most likely have more blending and less definition
Your work is absolutely gorgeous!! 😍
Thanks so much and thanks for watching 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦
Maybe if you let your white sit for about 15 or 20 minutes before you put it in the clear resin, it would do what you want like the blue one. Personally I love how the purple one came out! I may have to try this!!
Thanks so much I will have to give it a try. Yes I love the purple ones to . Thanks so much for watching 🥰🇨🇦
Can you suggest a better resin? Or is that not allowed?
Sound advice! Please recommend a better resin for us all.
Laura what resin do you reccomend,
Sherry Moulton well as pretty as they are, you want to use better resin and charge accordingly
