I think it would be very cool to have all those pieces inside of a clear turtle. It would look really cool.🥰
I've been putting glow in the dark mini skulls in a bigger skull mold and pouring it clear they come out cool and different colors also.
I agree. And I would cut the pieces smaller for a‘confetti’ look.
Yes, or use them to create a mosaic pattern in a tray!
@@frans3474like a mosaic. It would really look like a shell.
I was thinking the same thing, use them in its shell, the top facing the top and when it’s turned over have the colors facing the bottom, I hope she does one like that in the future.
Those pieces would also look really pretty in mosaic resin art ❤
That's exactly 💯👍 what I was thinking, there's no doubt that would look great,by the way I think the only way she hears suggestions is on her Facebook page, she mentioned it before 😊 I don't use Facebook so that leaves me out of the loop 😢
Love her work 😍
For coasters and the like that just… didn’t work out… I will trim em in gold or silver and then I give them to my niece and sister. One is in school and the other is a practicing cosmetologist and they use them in their day to day as palettes, apparently. I’m trying to figure out a way to add a loop to the bottom for a thumb… or maybe drill a thumb hole?
But yeah, all those old coaster and trivet fails go to them and their cosmetology school. Beats tossin’ em in the landfill…❤❤❤
Left over resin or resin from failed projects become great filler. I have done this on a number of projects. The turtle turned out amazing! Love it.
What a great way to use up old resin pieces that you can’t do anything with. The turtle turned out beautifully & so did the puffy hearts. Might light is a fabulous idea ❤
Was a bit confused at first. Then realized you didn’t care to see those old pieces. Good tip to save resin. That little turtle is just precious! Gorgeous colors. And the mold is just so nicely detailed.
I'd love to see one with clear or with glitter so you can see the pieces of recycled resin!
Such an amazing artist. Most thought provoking art I’ve seen in a long time.
I NEVER thought to use random pieces. Cause goodness knows when I make projects I have extra resin that I've poured in numerous coaster molds so as to not waste it lol. I might have to taken them outside for a good smashing lol. This is why I love it here(been here since 2022), Julie you have such good ideas, creative ways to change up, and you talk through with us as if we are right next to you 🙂This came out great!!
So gorgeous turtle, and smart way to use broken resin. Maybe another idea is to make a tray with mosaic from the broken pieces. I would like to see that 😊
I love the idea old using old pieces for filler. ❤ The turtle is beautiful 🎉
He's gorgeous!!! I just had my son demolish some junk pieces. I'm excited to use them
I was playing with using them for terrazzo. I only had a few days before the next cataract surgery. So after tonight it's 2 more weeks of being careful. 😢😅
He turned out gorgeous! 😍
Phenomenal!!!! Love it!❤ I think it would be neat to crush those failed pieces and put in clear resin also. I seen the turtle mold on Amazon an hour ago!
That turtle is beautiful and what a good idea to use your scraps now i know what to do with mine. Thank you ❤
I literally just de moulded some failed geode coasters so I needed this video today! 🤣
Ohhhh the turtle turned out beautiful, I also love the hearts.
The turtle is beautiful! I love the colour palette. The fact that it can use up bits of resin that many people have hanging around is fantastic in its recycling old and reducing new products is not only decluttering for a person's hobby area, but easier on the wallet and environment. ☺️ Thank you for sharing your craft with us 🙏. 🤩😍🤩
So beautiful! 🎉❤
Love it. He's giving the Turtles ' eyebrow.
That’s beautiful, my friend Creations by Alyson just did that last week on her Resin Ocean Table…she used all her old pieces in her table to save up space…that’s such a great idea! WOW!
If you have a tile nipper, you could mosaic the bottom of his shell. She is beautiful 🤩
It’s beautiful .
The definition of the marker trimming all the turtle 🐢 really makes it stand out even more.
Love the colors you choose for the turtle.
Hey you know what Chica?,the pieces you put in the turtle would look awesome if you put it into a mosaic mole and make it as a window decoration. That would look so amazingly cool!
Love you work this time as I always do....your just amazingly incredible on doing these creative beautiful crafts such as this turtle you made today....I love it Chica!❤🎉😊
ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE this turtle! I’d adopt him/her in a heartbeat 💗 Stunning colours and I even like the “wonky” (it’s not but you know what I mean, I hope 😊!) eye. Just love the mould and really want to take the plunge and buy one soon ! 😊
That is a fabulous idea. Your turtle is gorgeous 🐢🐢🐢
I think this technique would be cool in like a mosaic tray. For like a shattered glass look or make a picture.
Really pretty. Thank you for sharing. I haven't been making much resin pieces.. I still love making resins but I started a new booth. It's different tastes. Thank you again.
He is beautiful Julie. I would need a turtle three times as big to use up all my failed resin pieces😂❤
Viewing from the caribbean julie your turtle and puffy hearts came out goregous 🐢🖤🐢🖤
Excellent plan! Beautiful results. Julie you are the master of your art.
This was really cool for me to watch. I started in December, 3 years ago and you were one of the first people I followed. I have been on a year hiatus, due to moving, building and restocking my new craft room, etc. I have watched you grow and become so successful. You are one of a kind!! I recognized some of the pieces you put in the turtle. This is a great idea as always ❤. PS. You have come so far on your journey.
Such a genius idea!
Lovely turtle ❤
Nice way of using failes
At 1:10 I had forgotten how that Mr Turtle knocked my socks off! Then ‘sleep tight’, that golden night light, oooh! As you added the red ballast, I thought he’d eaten a bite of crab or lobster. The shimmer of colors shifting makes me happy, so thanks for sharing all your tried and true tips and upcycling those bits from yesterday. You’re simply marvelous!🍎
I AM JUST STARTING DOIN RESIN CANT WAIT TO DO MY FIRST I MIGHT START WITH SOMETHING SIMPLE
He's beautiful! I wish you had made more of a mosaic in clear resin with your old resin pieces. I understand you were filling space and saving some new resin, but with all the extra hearts you made, it doesn't much seem to have saved your resin filling. I hope you will consider making a turtle combined with a mosaic of your scrap resin. It might take some time to round off triangular edges, but I would love to see and even possibly buy such a turtle! Your creativity with resin is truly amazing! Thank you for sharing.
Loving the color shift on him, very pretty.
Very nice use of reject pieces. The turtle turned out great, it a beautiful mold 🐢 🧡🍂🍁
This turtle is fantastic! The eyes are amazing. And I'm glad you showed how to reuse failed pieces. Was starting to wonder if I was the only one lol. Considering resin isn't cheap.😊❤
The turtle is just gorgeous Julie, and the puffy hearts are really pretty
Stunning Turtle 🐢 Julie
What a great way to save resin. I can't wait to see what else you do with your old pieces . ❤
Brilliant Julie! Once again! I LOVE his eyes! 😍
Hey Julie! Wow, the turtle is beautiful!! LOVE those mica colors and how the eyes look so realistic set under the eyelid...amazing, Great idea on how to save resin too. This mold is awesome!! Big hugs from Texas!!😍🤩
Would love to see you use those pieces in a mosaic piece! If anyone could do it, it would be you!
Love this idea. Darling Julie I first want to thank you for your tutorials. You are the BEST teacher for fluid art. I literally learned everything from you back in 2019 and still enjoying and learning from you.🥰 Please tell me where you get all of those cool eyes. Is there a link? I couldn't find in description.
Thank you sweetie.
Love you and your talent. And your willingness to share. I always recommend you.😍😘😘😘
Julie, your puffy heart mold is one of my favorites. My very first favorite is your beta fish mold that I purchased last month. ❤
Gorgeous turtle! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Cool idea for messed up coasters Lol I Love your turtle it is Stunning 😊😊❤❤❤
Stupenda!!! Bravissima ❤❤❤
That turned out really good❤ Great job
Huh, interesting idea with using the leftovers. I agree with others regarding putting the "scraps" in clear resin would look cool. Such a beautiful turtle mold. So many different possibilities with decorating. xoxoxooxoxox
This is so beautiful!! Thank you for sharing.
Love❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ the eyes. Good use of messed up pieces
Very cool idea Julie. Love the turtle very stunning and beautiful 😻😻😻😻💙💙💙💙
I can't believe i missed this one 2 months ago! I love the idea of "reclaiming" the old pieces. It might be a fun time capsule to use the broken pieces flipped over so the pretty sides show and pour it in clear resin. Maybe just the head, tail, and flippers with powder or glitter.
To fix that line of the resin meetings you can try using the mica powder on the outside over the line than something to cover that maybe a small amount of resin
Absolutely gorgeous!! Those colors are 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! I'm in love with your turtle with the sand too. I would love to buy him if you would consider selling him. My mom would love him.
Thank you for all the amazing and wonderful projects/ tutorials you share with us!!!
🐢🩷💙💚🐢
I love the intense color chameleon powder. This sea turtle is gorgeous.
👏👏👏👏👏💖
Wow! It holds a lot!
Love the turtle and the colors you chose.
It's beautiful
When you said don't pinch the head cause the wee eyes will pop out. I was in kinks. I keep my resin bits, Thanks for the idea. I think I hear a resin tray calling me.
Terrific results!
Why not use the failed pieces and make a clock or even get the mold that you can make a table with the failed pieces...
Love those colors. Wow!
Beautiful turtle! I would have used the pieces in clear so I could see all the different designs and colors. Just an idea. Love your videos!
Couldn’t you also use the prettier colours to add colour to a clear resin shell? I love you turtle
I’ve been pouring my heart out and making all kinds of bloomy things. Mine look more like outer space but I’m getting there!
Beautiful
There are really pretty pieces what would look nice in molds with clear resin...Love watching your videos.
He is gorgeous! Another great idea. I also make some mosaic pieces so watching you cover them up in black I could cringe. LOL
So beautiful! I want to ask if you have done any video on how to pour resin "in reverse". I have a mold that is a face peeking out and other things wrapping around and I am SO confused! I'll finish it out, have been pouring in layers, but would love any advice or expertise you can share! You are the Queen of Resin!
The turtle 🐢 looks amazing. The colors are so vibrant. I didn't see a link for the eyes 👀. Would you please provide one. (It's 4AM on the East Coast of the US & maybe the link is there. If so I apologize for an addled brain.) Should get some sleep now.
You should invest in a little UV flashlight. I have found it to be very helpful in situations like the eyes on your turtle
It would have helped if you had long-necked tweezers to hold the eye, then proceed to insert and set the eye. BTW: great video. Enjoy watching all your tutorials
Next time you use your resin pieces try using clear resin with tiny irridesant glitter flakes or maybe crush up the resin pieces into smaller bits and use the irridesant tiny glitter flakes in clear resin. Just a suggestion for you to try.
Love, love, love❣🐢
Love you precious turtle!
I love this idea so very much!!!! You could use the overflow peels too, right? Love how this turned out!!! ❤❤
Hi Julie with the failed bits how about making a clear mold and use the broken bits as a mosaic
How about a mosaic table top with the leftovers ?
WOW! Your turtle is gorgeous!! I love your color selection, absolutely stunning! This gets me excited about trying to work with resin and trying it for myself! Thank you for sharing!
I learn something new every time I watch you 😊 thank you ❤🇦🇺
Mural!! (Mosaic-style)
I love that beautiful turtle
Next time, dust the tail in the same as head. Love it. They would pretty, if u used clear n u could see the pieces . They r so pretty not show them off.
I was thinking the same thing.. head & tail should match the flippers not the shell. The colors are so close that it doesn’t look bad though… still a gorgeous piece.
What a great way to recycle those pieces we mess up , I’m definitely going to do this when I can
What a clever idea. All are beautiful.
Very pretty!❤
CraftDaddy says whaaaaat!?!?!? Amazing as always! I’m grabbing big turtle 🐢 mold! We have 3 real sulcatas… Mrs J, where are u grabbing your glass eyes ?AMAZON? I’m looking at multipack but was curious what to get or what NOT to get! Blessings to you and the Mr.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aw. I thought I was going to get to see a mosaic project. I think those are cool. And the bits being tossed in looked really amazing!
But yes, anything that turns out ugly or not fully cured, it's great fodder for filling up those large molds! And if it's black, no one is going to know the difference.
This project does look great anyway.
One thing I've recently discovered when dusting with the powder... make sure not to leave any accumulated powder in any crevices or points in the mold, or the resin will bubble around it. The difference in the bubbles I've gotten from this is that the powder successfully transferred into the bubble, rather than seeing the Black resin.
He's pretty. I love the night light! You always do amazing work. Love watching you ❤❤❤
Did you weigh that turtle and see how much it weighs compared to the other ones without the extra resin pieces it’s beautiful 😊
Oh, that actually hurt me to see you bury those beautiful resin chips- never to be seen again! I immediately thought of a mosaic tray or some type of mosaic piece. Ahh well, maybe next time!
He's beautiful
I would have broken the brown and bronze and gold pieces smaller and used those pieces to make it look like a more realistic shell on the turtle. Some of the pieces actually look like true turtle shell. Just think about that. You could also make a template of each section then cut those sections out and put them in the corresponding section.
love every thing you do.i have watched you for a long time .your work is always different.🙋♀🐨🦘🦘
Have to say I was bummed when I saw you using black. I thought you were going to use the chunks as mosaic for the turtle shell.
