make sure to check out the original: Nickelodeon Studios Behind Closed doors - 2012 - inside the memories! by adam the woo
• Nickelodeon Studios - ...
Finally, someone who actually goes inside the studios again!
TSTpro yeah him and Adam should do a collab
I was here January last year and tried to get in but couldn't find any kind of way or door.
Do y'all know how this guy and the other one (guy who made video this guy re-traces) got in?
LEGO Gamer it's being repurposed for blue man group
You must have balls of steel. I damn near had a heart attack when you actually ran into that guy in the offices, and you didn't even flinch.
As long as you act like you belong alot of people will just not ask questions.
Im glad Adam got in there when he did. it looks so boring and regular now :(
Idk why people prefer the horribleness that is the boring office buildings! Why not make it look awesome and creative like cartoons do
I don't mean to be dramatic here but watching this is heartbreaking. I'm literally watching part of my childhood get erased. This sucks.
True, I didn't get to go.
I remember when it first shut down.
I was gonna go before I herd was closed in 2006
+Rahine Bezzy It actually closed in 2005.
Leah-Lela * I feel the same way
I remember back in the very early 90's I used to go to universal studios florida when I visited to my grandparents during summer vacations. I saw the place back when it first started up and still even had studios for clarissa explains it all and double dare still up and running. Remember getting a bunch of those little splat-shaped containers of gak and ren & stimpy merch by the bag full.
At this point USF no longer has most if any of the places I remember there. Nick studios chief among them. I saw on wikipedia article years ago that at least some of the signage and wall murals were still there, but it looks like even that's gone now, too.
Then, within the last few years my grandparents that used to take me there every summer when I was a child died.
The worst part of aging isn't watching yourself grow old and fading away.
It's watching it happen to everything else.
So homie just casually walks into the impact zone and DOESNT make an entrance to the ring when nobody is around? Now that's self restraint
Where?
Im so sad that all the amazing wall art is gone :(
I'm amazed like no one stopped u or anything. I mean I got spooked once I saw the guy. Great job!! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for posting this. I have been looking for an updated video on what happened to Nick Studios since Adam visited. Insane how they cleared all memorabilia and equipment. On the bright side this building is being used with a purpose again. Although Nick has moved on, the memories that I have from Nick Orlando will not go away. Thank you again for sharing.
Mehdi Sianaki even if they reopen it new useless stuff are gonna come
Eugene Pitt passed away on Friday, June 29, at the age of 80. While his name might not ring a bell, his voice sure does. The singer, along with his doo-wop group The Jive Five, voiced Nickelodeon's old-school theme song from the 80s and 90s.
I always wondered who did that voice!
wow that broke my heart seeing that the painted over everything. You will never know that nick was even there and they took a great thing and wrecked it. Nick was awesome when I was growing up. And I do not know what they did but they have made it into something that we can not longer be a part of and our kids will never know they joy we felt when we went in there and we were part of a game show or seeing our fav show taped there. Its sad what they have done to it and its sad that they couldn't even make it a place were we could see what once was. They could have made it like a museum and let us at least see some part of what we grew up with. But now its forever stuck under the new paint. And all we have left is videos on UA-cam. And thank god Adam the woo went in and took video before it was all taken away for good. And I wonder what they did with the old props and all the signs that showed us all the shows that were taped there. They had to wreck it for everyone. And they have turned a great station into crap. And we will never see it back to what it once was. We had awesome cartoons and shows taped there and its sad what they did to such a great place it could have been something great but they gave up on it way to soon. And its now dead never to come back. And I know there is a lot of us that are heart broken that they didn't do they right thing and open it up at least one last time for us all to say good buy and to see all the cartoon people we grew up with and loved. SO with a heavy heart I will say good bye Nick. You will be missed. And its sad that they wrote you off so quickly and turned something that was fun and original in to crap. And the only people who are suffering is our kids. They will not get to see there shows like we got to and they have no place to really go to enjoy being slimmed or to see the slim lab blow its top off. What they did was rip it down and throw everything away and now they are acting like they never had a place like that. Sad way to sad. And for all of us who tried everything for them to let us have it back we can be proud that we tried and that's more then what they did. :) R.I.P Nick you are missed. And always will be. sad all it is now is a memory.
I was already depressed about all this, but your comment just dragged me even LOWER :'( and I agree completely !
All for some cold , boring blue man group...
The long rooms at the end with the glass windows were part of the tour. (I was a guide.) The long hallway (with the desks in it now) was the first stop and then through that door into the next room (with the slanted glass) was the control room for all the soundstage. Weird seeing it this way all these years later.
Wow, amazing!!
do you have any pictures of your time there?
I didnt see this when you originally posted it but i am glad i saw it now! Thanks for this, you are one brave guy.
I was at Universal last week! Been going since I was 9 . Even saw the Keenan and Kel show LIVE, back in the Good Burger Days lol. That whole office used to be a studio . Sad NICK is gone , I think NICK did everything they could do but times just change. Universal studios didn’t leave a trace of Nick anywhere , growing up is realizing it’s all just business. Seeing that Nick splat logo up close as a kid though , was a dream come true .
+Drip Godz I got to go there myself along with my family back in Spring 2004, it was quite exciting to be at "The Place Where Nick is Made" even though it was near the end of the line at that point and i really loved watching the Slime Geyser erupt along with my little brother and staring up at the large Nickelodeon sign at the front of the building. Just being able to be at the place that i had only seen on television at the end of Nick game shows and others for so long was something special to my then ten year old self, and it's a darn shame the studios died the way they did and now there is really little to nothing left of what the place formerly was with everything being removed.
Technology universal did leave a little trace of nick in the despicable me minion mayhem before it ,was the jimmy neutron blast and in the nick gift shop you can see the classic Nickelodeon rocketship in the center and it's also there in the gift shop for the minion mayhem as well and during the show you can see the rocket ship jimmy godard and Carl took somewhere in the show so they kind of did left a little trace
oscar cool12345 what pre show the lab or house part?
I got to go there with my family while we were on vacation at Universal Studios back in the spring of 2004, and at that point they were still taping some shows including GameFarm and perhaps even Nick SPLAT! as well if i remember correctly. The part i enjoyed the most was standing with my little brother near the Slime Geyser and watching it erupt along with a few other kids who were standing nearby. We also went on the tour and got to see the sets and props as well go into the Gak Kitchen to watch the slime recipes being made, as well as the Game Lab to play the interactive games although i didn't get slimed. All in all it was such a fun time and i am so glad that i got to experience it before it ultimately closed less than a year later.
It's a darn shame that there is now almost nothing left of the studios' former identity as "The Place Where Nick is Made." because all of it was such a great experience to my ten year old self.
Justin Middleton the only thing left at the now Sharp Aquos Theatre are the orange handrails.
+West Coast Emerald Bull Wow, so there really is literally almost nothing remaining from the Nickelodeon Studios days. It's amazing considering how long they left all those wall paintings and signs up even well after the place had closed and changed hands to BMG.
Justin Middleton but now, it's host to Fox Sports and The Blue Man Group which I've always found to be fun. I also heard Nicktoons were animated there.
Justin Middleton the reason I heard why they closed is because Viacom didn't renew their contract with Universal and after that, they closed shop. Also, some people are blaming it on The Blue Man Group which is pretty stupid as they had nothing to do with the closing is Nickelodeon Studios.
+West Coast Emerald Bull I also read that the studios had budget cuts and other things occurring at the time, this coupled with the fact that there were fewer shows taping there that it eventually got to the point where it was no longer viable to keep it operating.
All of this was happening because they were moving the bulk of their productions to the Nick on Sunset studio in Hollywood by the early 2000's, compared to the period from opening in 1990 to around that point when Nickelodeon Studios was pretty much their main base of operations for taping game shows and live series for the network. Those events in the end made it run on fumes the last few years in operation at Universal, they eventually decided it just wasn't working anymore.
Kinda makes me sad that older humans currently working in the studio now carelessly removed all the memories we all had in this single building.. Now its a foreal memory
Zalzion yeah, makes me sad too. I remember taking the tour back in 1990 and seeing the Double Dare set and all the other stuff. It was soooo cool getting to see all that in person. Now......half the people in there probably don’t have a clue of the history of that building.
Who ever had a hand in painting over those memories should be shunned from this village!!
@@psauter417 You got to see the double dare set!? That's so awesome!DID IT SMELL? 🤣
Sky haha, yup! They weren’t filming that day, so it didn’t really smell weird. It was still cool to see it!
Sky I have an old picture of it somewhere. No iPhones back then. LOL!!
Wtf they erased the whole 90's from the studio. That's what got that studio off the ground. You'd think they would keep that as a reminder of how it got started. I'm just outraged. I feel like it's disrespectful to all us 90's kids and for the iconic building. It's not iconic anymore
They don't own the rights to Nick characters or branding anymore.
TrojanJustin Yes they do, if you go in the kids area in Universal Studios there is a SpongeBob SquarePants store. Obviously they own some sort of Nickelodeon property if that is there. The studios no longer exists because of the dramatic fall of guests coming in the studio tour and the shows being moved to the California studio. It has nothing to do with the loss of the characters and brand.
I’m pretty sure they kept it. The old hulk statue is still outside if you go on Master Doom’s free fall ride. Right next to it is huge storage facilities so maybe they still have it somewhere
kylie betts
They just painted over some drawings, so the studio could be repurposed, stop being so entitled.
On 9:12, I was so surprised that the escalators are completely gone! That's a huge transformation! 😮
when i saw that all the artwork had been painted over i shed a tear. a quite literal representation of the death of an era. i wish i could get in there and repaint it all myself. so awful and unnecessary for them to do that.
13:49 they kept the carpet...that disgusting 20+ year old brown carpet was ok...but the wall art had to go?!
I feel bad for everyone who used to work here. It must be even more sad for them. Its even more saf how those lovely paintings are totally gone now. I wish they worked out a deal with Nick to keep the paintings up.
Also I'm curious. How exactly did you manage to get in without getting caught???
ScorpionsFatality Security must REALLY suck there. lol
@@psauter417 probably lol. That or they just find footage on youtube and insta ban people.
ScorpionsFatality Lol, or that.
Great to see the inside of the studios again! Sad though that they removed all of the Ren and Stimpy murals. However it looks as if the Weinerville mural is still there.
This most have took alot of guts
Nickelodeon Guts
I see what you did there
Do do do do you have it
Looks like they are still using that building. Be careful you don't get caught. Looking forward t the next abandoned building you decide to explore. Great work.
LAME AF that they got rid of all of the aesthetic
I worked there in IT from 99-02 which was toward the end. One of the most fun and best jobs I ever had. Fun to see the 2nd floor where the control rooms and edit bays used to be (along with the server room).
Man, it must've been an awesome experience. Glad to see someone that worked there give a great story of it!
that's amazing Drew, thanks for sharing
There goes my childhood just crumbled up and threw in the trash like it never existed....really breaks my heart to see this
John McClain I definitely feel the same way.
I always wanted to go here, family couldnt afford it. When I had a kid I tried to take him and it closed. So so sad.
Looks as if they only kept the one mural. Makes me wonder what the third floor is like. Didn't get all the way up there when I was in the studios last month.
last time I was up there things looked alright but it's been... hell, almost two years now.
That room was for the Game Lab show. Those stairs you went up in that room was the tech booth. I worked for Nick for many years.
Hi, Can you mark me the moment he walks into the game lab room?
BLASPHEMY. How dare they defile sacred grounds by covering up the old
Glad to see you giving Adam credit though!! He’s the OG if abandoned videos
15:24. Pretty interesting stuff in there. Volcano Bay Tapu Tapu wristbands, ticket barcode activated lockers, a lot of point of sale terminals, and ticketing kiosks. My guess is that they use that area for test/adjust and Team Member training for the Theme Park.
HOW THE HELL DID YOU NOT GET STOPPED BY ALL THOSE PEOPLE?!?!?!!?
They were from TNA, and are employed by Dixie Carter that's how
because he bought the blue man group backlot tour ticket
I get anxiety while watching this lol
Angela Ortiz RIGHT!!!! OMG I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Those blank, sanitised walls... so sad. At least it looks like the studio and facilities are being used again and appears to be a very active workplace for a lot of people, some of whom seem very chill to see a random person wandering around filming everything....
Wow..just pained over the walls as if none of that history ever existed. I would've paid good money for one of those painted wall sections. More than it likely cost them to just paint over them.
Ryan Collins exactly. I can't believe they just easily painted over people's childhoods like that. It's sad and disgusting.
That's Impact Wrestling's studio now.
They really should have turned this studio into a museum! I think that would have been perfect, and look what happened with it now! Just FYI
I from Germany. Was creating in the Studio Drake and Josh?
TNA impact wrestling is filmed there but how did he get backstage with people there
Game Therapy ua-cam.com/video/F4z6uFrzPxE/v-deo.html
It's around 48:45 when he tells the story.
No it's still Tna
If you know anything about tna, you'd know they are not the brightest people
It's going to turn into a Nickelodeon museum maybe no seriously I think that's what they said because they want to show all the 90s
It's pretty cool you got to see where Impact Wrestling is filmed.
I'm more of the 'Nick at Nite' generation but even I recognize that you don't paint over art work like they had in the hallways. You could have been in a medical building somewhere.
I didn't know thats where Impact wrestling was filmed
What is that Wrestling ring in stage 19?? It's TNA?
Yep! Redubbed Impact!
Yo thought I was the only one who saw that
All my questions been answered thank you man
OMFG IM SOO HAPPY I FOUND THIS MAT MY CHILD HOOD MEMORIES, PLUS I’ve followed Adam for quiet some time now,dam it dude this words on this comment don’t justify my excitement THANK YOU !!!!🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽👊🏽
this is cool that u just walk into any building and just do any video u want
I still to this day don’t know how people just walk on in. I try every single time and every door is always locked
At 5:27 the clean up rules is still hanging which says nickelodeon studios
I was at Universal in 1990, and again in 1996. They were tapping a scene from... "My Brother and Me", (I think?) When we walked through the catwalk area. It was the summer before I started high school, so it was literally like saying goodbye to my childhood.
This video is so cool but my anxiety is off the charts right now watching this lol
Impressive most impressive indeed! Great comparission!!
I remember going when I was younger, maybe 7-10 years old. I went with my great aunt to Universal, I remember seeing the outside of the Nick Studios and it was awesome. But we never did go in the studio sadly. And havent gotten to go back to Universal yet. But I did live in Pennsylvania now I am in Florida. Makes me upset that it did close down and they took every little piece of Nick Studios out. But what goes up must come back down.
Holy Jesus!!!! Impact Wrestling is in Studio 19?! The same building that Nick owned?! My life is complete.
Batista Bitasta Ahh! Can you say Double Dare?!?!? LOL
This was also a nice set tour of wrestling’s most dying promotion lol
this was an amazing update video from ATW's video and in a way i am sort of happy the building is still there and being used but kind of bummed that little to nothing of Nick's 90s theme is gone.
PissedOffByron yeah, when ATW went thru I took some comfort that the hallways still showed the Nick era. Now they don’t. It’s very sad if you were a kid growing up during the 90s.
I still wonder where they kept the big logo
Really
I wish they didnt sell it
Ryo Catana What else would they do with it? I mean the Nickelodeon Studios in California didn't need it so they sold it. Unfortunate but true.
Then what happened to stage 17
Ryo Catana Stage 17 is the main building, like you see in the thumbnail. Its being used as storage and the office buildings inside are being used by BMG. Some of it is used by Impact Wrestling some times during the year. Nothing of Nickelodeon Studios remnants are left except a couple signs from back when the studio tour was open and the tiles in the bathroom that look like slime is coming out the toilets.
Us 90s kids are such nostalgia freaks.
This was majorly depressing to watch.
A whole era just erased..
They couldn't even keep one splat or sticker..
It's sad to think it'll never ever be what it once was. Now it's just a beige nightmare!
Kozmic Kauldron well if nicki ever decide to come back they can look at pictures and recate or make it bettet than it was
I would like to go there to feel like a movie star
Wow. That is so cool. Those buildings just keep going and going. It was amazing to see it all. You are so brave!
Why when it's still making shows? It's not abandoned yet
Michael Rusch it was reopened for the blue men group.
The Florida studios have been abandoned since 2006. Nickelodeon moved to California the same year. The soundstage was left abandoned with all of the Nickelodeon stuff until about fall 2015 when they officially removed all that remained. The blue man group took over soundstage 18 in 2007, soundstage 19 remained empty until 2008 when (for some reason) Nickelodeon returned for the last and final time to film My Family's Got Guts... after that, not much has taken place in those soundstages since.
This is an active Universal soundstage. At the time adamthewoo did his break-in back in 2012, he arrived a month or two before a Euro Disney TV show (Game On) loaded in to film there. I worked on the show for about 12 days in that studio.
The soundstage still sees regular use for productions and was used for The Repository during HHN 2016. It's also home to various offices, including the offices and workshops of the Blue Man Group.
Impact wrestling films there multiple times a year
It's never been "abandoned" Nickelodeon moved out and they stopped giving tours, but the facility is still in use.
This broke my heart :(
Did any one know where the slime geyser and all of the props are would love to see a vid on they’re whereabouts
Bryant Trader same here!
They painted over everything 😪 smh least I know the art is still behind those new paintings
I never even got to go here ( it closed when I was a kid) this is still nostalgic snd heartbreaking 🥺
I really enjoy what you do! Keep up the good videos 😊
0:13 makes me think of all the classics
They made everything so dull and boring like everything in life nowadays :(
51 dislikes as of today - must be the 51 people who painted over everything
Who did he know at impact to get him into the soundstage is the real question.
matt m He knew no one.
Uh, yeah. I doubt that.
I knew no one
matt m doubt it now?
Most of these doors you need a key card to get in
So sad to see that all the remaining Nickelodeon stuff is now gone, and everything appears to be boring like coming in to the office for wok rather than going to an actual attraction at Universal.
who’s here after watching quiet on the set in 2024 👀
Things that only 90's kids will understand, RIP childhood
The only thing left of nick is the clean up rules
I knew Impact wrestling was being filmed at universal but i didnt know it was in the old nick studios soundstage
Why the reupload?
I'm curious too. 😕❓
The only difference I see is he removed the music from the BSF part
Starsh Awh, that music was good.
Ahh, yeah. That music. It really is better without it. Good Call on Matt to edit & re-upload 👍✌
D@n It's strange because I tried to Shazam it but not came up.
Its not behind closed doors there's people walking around STILL COOL THOUGH
Rahine Bezzy I saw one or two closed doors
This is just sad 😢 I remember when Nickelodeon was good back in the 90s my favorite shows were the Amanda show all that and keyten an kel drake and josh Unfabulous
Cool video Matt! Idrk where to go next for abandoned attractions in Orlando lol?
I actually never knew they were at Universal Studios and i was out there in July of this year and if only i knew they were there i would have tried to find the building thank u so much for this video when were u out there?
I miss the woo
Man i miss Nick back in the day Hell i miss being a kid
Moto Mayhem amen to that!
I think it’s just heartbreaking seeing Universal forget about it’s history and just erase it!
You know I am really surprised I didn’t see that much SpongeBob stuff
Thanks for being brave enough to go here even though most of the beauty of the wall art is gone...which makes me so sad.....
It's almost like a max Payne game and we're all exploring the Nickelodeon level lol
Thank you bro! Never seen the inside since adamthewoos video, your the man! I’m subbin my nigga
DO THE FULL TOUR IN YOU HAVE MINECRAFT DO IT MINECRAFT VERSION
How’d you get in? I’ve heard that it’s difficult
What are they turning my childhood into? This is actual art they are destroying. Is everyone just trying to erase the past?
I didn’t grow up in the 90s, but I definitely remember watching all the shows on nick. -2005
RIP Nick Studios
I think when the 30 years of nicktoons arive..............
........all the nicktoons from the 1990s and early 2000s
Will come out of their grave and reach to the original nickelodeon
Studios.
And those nicktoons would be.........
Rugrats,Ren and Stimpy,rRocko, Aah real monsters,Anorld,
The angry beavers,CatDog,The wild thornberries,(1999-2006)Spongebob,
Rocket power,Ginger,Team disguise,(2001-2008)Fairly odd parents,Zim,
Jimmy neutron,Snap,JX9,Danny phantom,Aang,catscratch,The X's,
Kappa Mikey,El tigre,Odis,and Tak.
Mabye the mighty bee and making friends.
They're like, fuck it. We'll just leave the door open for all the disgruntled 90's kids...
+Clint Williams Sad that there is virtually nothing remaining in the place now, i really enjoyed being there during those warm spring days my family was at Universal back in 2004.
Such a shame they didnt utilize the rest of the place for something decent aside from blue man group.. great update footage though, kid has large cohones to walk right in. Still sour about Jaws / King kong.. it made the place. Classics.
Can anyone go visit this place?? How did you get in!??!
Great video
Also, I honestly think when Nickelodeon left FL they didn’t give two shits about the old props and memorabilia.
+Drip Godz Yes, it would have been great if they had taken all that stuff and repurposed it all at the Hollywood studio or something.
whoever painted over the murals is gonna have a bad time.
Sans I know, I can't believe they have the heart to do that. It would break my heart to paint over millions of people's childhoods. It's sad and disgusting.
I was hoping you would have a Nickelodeon studious vid
I hope they stream impact wrestling on twitch
Florida was an anti-union state and the prospect of an east coast version of that Hollywood-style glitz and glamour was not viable for that one reason, plus hurricanes have slammed both sides of the Florida peninsula since the 1990s, when the studio was still operational. It was also quite stressful for the actors/actresses to fly out there and film the shows, when it is much easier to film shows in California or New York City.
