Get yourself comfort and precision in the studio or FOH with the Austrian Audio Hi-X60, a pair of over-ear, closed-back headphones designed to meet the demands of studio mixing and mastering engineers as well as live sound mix engineers working at Front-of-House (FOH) or monitor mixing. With proprietary high-excursion 44mm drivers, the headphones deliver a linear frequency response and low distortion as well as a frequency response of 5 Hz to 28 kHz. This helps in the QC process for mastering, as errors will be easier to detect.
Soft, replaceable memory foam earpads ensure comfortable wearing for long sessions. The headphones can be folded to allow compact storage and convenient transport. Two detachable cables are included, and a 1/4" adapter is also supplied, along with a carry pouch.

Featuring the sonic signature of the Hi-X6 series, with its natural and spacious sound, the Hi-X60 over-ear, closed-back design is ideally suited for use in loud environments, for example, in the studio or front-of-house (FOH).
In the studio, the Hi-X60's closed-back isolation prevents sound from escaping out into the recording environment and interfering with the microphone. capture. At FOH, the high passive noise suppression ensures an optimum signal-to-noise ratio creating an accurate and hearing-friendly sonic environment. For instrument or vocal tracking, both features work together to provide the artist with a coherent, healthy signal without leakage.
The Hi-X60 offers remarkable comfort, even for long sessions, leaving the user fatigue-free and able to focus on workflow. All touch points are made from soft, durable memory-foam. The earpads feature the acclaimed Hi-X design with plenty of internal space and smaller external size. The earpads can be replaced with ease. In addition, the headband has a smart cut-out to relieve pressure on the head.
Hi-X Driver Technology
All Austrian Audio Hi-X headphones feature a 44mm driver and a ring magnet system. This design allows for improved airflow and includes the strongest magnetic field in its class.
The ring magnet, combined with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil, reduces the weight of the membrane and the voice coil connected to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction faster, providing a more responsive impulse reaction.
Longevity
The earpiece and earpads, i.e. all hygienic components, can be replaced and renewed with ease, just like the pluggable cable. This means that precision, listening pleasure, and comfort are maintained for a long time.

Great review! One thing though, you mentioned that the cable plugs into the right driver but it actually plugs into the left, like about 99% of most headphones.

Totally agree, these headphones are amazing for FOH, monitoring, mixing and mastering. For sure a gold standard headphone in my opinion as well.
I've had these for a few months now and, while I'm no audio engineering expert or anything (just a hobbyist), I've thoroughly enjoyed these. Can definitely see myself not needing much more for my skill level.

Out of the x55, x60x x65. Which ones has the most bass, also which ones would be best for fps gaming.
The Hi-X65 but none are very bassy but the 65 has a bit of thump and kick.

I bought these last night to replace my Sennheiser PC38X headset for gaming. Yeah I got a mic and an interface and such at the same time. It may seem like a waste having a decent headset already but I live in a 4 bedroom apartment with roommates and I'm tired of open back headsets making me listen to their idiotic noises, laughing, and whistling. I hope these will help tune them out a little bit.
They do isolate good. I have used them to work FOH at concerts.

@@smksukcdc yes I have. The Q701 is pretty detailed but is significantly more bassy than the Austrian Audio headphones. While I find them very accurate, they aren't that enjoyable due to some noticeable distortion in the low end and treble. They are great but not for everyone.

Can these headphones be used for tracking? Can these headphones be used for mastering? During the box opening, what was that cloth object you removed, was it a bag to carry the headphones?
They can absolutely be used for all aspects of the mixing and mastering process as well as monitoring. The bag was a carrying bag. These are essentially closed back Hi-65 headphones. Since the Hi-65 are open back... Not ideal for front of the house mixing or for vocalists singing in the studio for example. Both function excellently in the studio. The 65 has a more natural Soundstage... Because they are open back. Nearly identical in every other way. Most detailed/revealing headphones on the market.
i own x65, they have bright sound, i have eq +2db at around 20hz with wide q-factor and -2db at 5k-11k, because they pretty bright they dont lose details at top freq but you can hear more obviosly details at lows
I still stay by my Audeze Mobius! This one I get now is very durable. And sound is so awesome! It keeps amazing me every day!

Really nice. They are the ultimate in pro audio in my opinion. If you work with audio or editing and use $70 Sony MDR-7506 then everyone will assume you are an engineer. Show up with Austrian Audio headphones and everyone knows you are REALLY into audio and detail.

Can u help me a few days ago i downloaded pirated game now when i am playing games after 10 mints my game start lagging i installed new window format my all hard drive but didn't work for me
When i start play games works smooth like 200+fps after sometimes lagging and 50 fps
They aren't durable, the plastics is the weak point and it cracks wide open after a few years of use. My 55 and 60's both have done this, and I treat them with kid gloves.
Duck tapes fixes them, durable nope!
This is interesting. I haven't seen or heard of this happening before. My 55's went on the road with me for a year getting thrown into audio bags, trunks, etc. Where exactly is the weak point you are referring to?
