Thx guys! I'm planning on doing a complete rebuild of a 90 Bronco II as well and it was able to understand a lot more thanks to the footage. I do wish ya'll didnt shake the camera/cellphone as much though :p
I have a 1987 ford ranger with the same engine and I timed it the same after replacing the distributor, but it just idled really high like yours did. Idk if it’s cheap aftermarket parts or if the timing is advanced but it definitely doesn’t sound right
I have looked absolutely everywhere and I cannot figure out when I set the timing or the timing light am I looking at the pointer at the top or the pointer at the bottom with the circle?
Mavil isHere thanks for the support. It Means a lot! We’re just waiting on some welding supplies that we don’t have right now to finish up the cage and the bed then she should be ripping again.
Thx guys!

Currently driving a 1986 Ford Bronco II and I moved the distributor housing and I need to get it back to the right point.
Tathan Bailey Did you just turn the distributor?set TDC and line it up
Yea I have a ranger 2.9 I did same thang and need to figure housing place
Cool 😎. Now if I can get my Ranger to do the same.
You don’t want it to run like this one lol I must be to only one with a ranger engine that runs properly but I used carb not injection 😂

Top, not the circle
I have a 90 ranger with the same engine and no spark. Do you think replacing the distributor would fix that?
Most likely need a distributor or the ignition control module
Which way do you turn distributor to advance timing
I believe it is clockwise but I could be wrong, turn it one way and check where your timing moved with a timing light.
