Excellent video. I’ll make sure to keep electrical gloves and protective eyeglasses in my vehicle. Well i noticed portable batteries have different amps and jumper cables have different gauges. I researched and found that most cars need a portable battery of 1000 amps and a 4-6 gauge. Is this correct? Also, does the portable battery have an expiration date? Does the portable battery have a limited number of usage? And also i would have like to see up close where you placed the negative clamp on the car with the non working battery.
Even though it’s sponsored by a company, this is a very well laid out, well explained, well produced…video to tell people about this topic. Even covers a few side questions that someone may have , posed by the guy in this video playing the role of someone needing a jump.
yea, the most important part and they didn't show it! Then leaving the jumper cables dangling by the bumper, if there was any metal there it would cause a spark.
I wouldn't rely on these if you can help.it. If you get a hugely overpowered thing, maybe...plug in the wall is always better, imo. Like if you have the capacity to jump a big V8 (several times) and you need to jump a lil 4 cylinder, that's perfect. I'd go less charge longer w a shutoff and go check it every few hours. Over 100 amps and hope for the best. I'd be worried about getting stuck a 2nd time, tho not w Interstate, unless you HEAR it not cranking right and you IGNORE it, then that's on you. Lol. If you're in the garage, use the plug in type overnight. You can plug it onto battery and then plug into wall. Unplug first. Go check if you can. Have lots of water, towels and eye protection, just in case. Always know what side to do first and take your time. Don't be mad or rushed. Bad stuff happens then. If it's close, bring a rag and rubber band and wrap the side you don't need yet. That's mostly for installation, because if it's dead, the matter is irrelevant (but be careful, extremely careful anyway). Obviously, don't be drunk or stoned. You make stupid mistakes that way.
Doesn’t everybody have chemically protected gloves and safety glass in there vehicle? A must in every vehicle is baking soda and a toothbrush. If you buy jumper cables buy a high quality pair. You need good gauge wire in the clamps. Go under the number 8 gauge. Get numbers gauge 2/4/or 6. Nothing higher. It should say on the package. The lower the number the better the gauge for starting the vehicle. You can write directions in on your cell phone under battery. 😁
Safety glass for what? Only on windshield on most cars, as I thought. Some have it on the sides, tho not many. Could be in your favor, maybe not. Under normal circumstances, safety glass would be better; adds structural integrity. If you drop it in the river and need to break the glass (or a crash) then, no, not so much. Because the sh*t won't break. Lots of cars crash and have seat belts lock closed. A good knife or seat belt cutter always helps. Plus fire extinguisher. Should go in the console.
This is the best video I have seen on how to jump start a battery!

What is the recommended time to leave the car with the weak battery running?
Off the record I think at least 30 minutes driving. Driving charges it

On the bad car, to what did she attach the negative (black) end of the jumper cable? It isn't shown in the video.
It’s to ground the car with the bad battery, newer cars usually have a post near the battery
Anywhere on the metal frame in there

Look at where it was removed. The video shows where the guy removed it. I had the same question when she attached that one
Action ❌ Over action ✅

Kevin gates jumpstarts with his hands no need for cables
Cool Video! 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
It would be nice to show how you can jump start a hybrid vehicle
POV: You misclicked
I'm not seeing a negative clap spot on my car wtf
Attach the negative jumper wire to the shock absorber tower
Some people like to make something simple as complicated as they can
Really ignorant. No one carries that stuff around.
