You guys rock! Curious if Is it pretty normal for the battery to die if your key fob remote died and you didn’t start the car for a few weeks?
I was delusional in thinking Allstate or Hpd would solve the mystery of my hit & run but naturally the woman that took my report did not contact me yet because she ran plates, the idiot had stolen vehicle and plates. It was clearly a set up. Because insursnce adjuster said “well if it was your fault the other driver would get $100,000.” Audacity is at an all time high. Stay safe out here yall. Keep advancing society for good please 🙏

with these jumper packs.....do you still want to put the NEGATIVE (BLACK) clamp on a non painted metal surface like you would when traditional jumpstarting?

I noticed some people connect the negative cable to a non painted grounded part of the car. What's the difference?

I think its to bypass a faulty battery, if the battery shortcircuits it will not start because the battery will kill the pulse or something. That said, I came here because I tried to jumpstart my 2013 civic and it did nothing. I placed a new battery and it worked like a charm again, so no idea why I couldnt jumpstart my civic.

It’s the way you are supposed to do it. A good point on the frame is the same as connecting to the battery ground terminal, but won’t cause an explosion in the event of excess battery gassing when a spark occurs connecting the ground.

@@NathanGrant75 do you think its best to put the black on a metal instead of Negative terminal if using a jumper pack like in the video?

The NOCO is self protected from reverse polarity. How are you supposed to connect a jump pack like the NOCO when the battery negative post is buried like in a 2021 Pilot? There’s a ground bar in the passenger side of the engine compartment but the NOCO cables don’t reach and they don’t make longer ones or cable extensions.

    Is there a seq?
Black to black first? Or red to red first?

It’s recommended to connect the positive cable first.
If you connect the negative first and then drop the positive cable and it touches bare metal, it will arc (similar to taking the + & - from the jump pack and connecting them to each other)

My Passport Trailsport battery is hidden and covered by plastic cover. Should it be completely closed and covered under normal conditions?
