Joe, I love new tech for old cars. I recently installed a Progression Ignition distributor in my 440. If you like your AFR on your phone, you'll love setting your timing curves on your phone! Check em' out! Oh yeah, built in rev limiter, and distributor disable, the best theft deterrent, among other features.
Joe, thank you for teaching me about the screen record feature… though I have so much to learn yet, you are always helping people like me gain a little ground every day… much appreciated! Good luck dialing things in with your new gadget!
most afr gauges will datalog to a laptop through serial cable, I think, not a wireleass solution but not $525 either. I dont understand the 2 minute data log limitation? that not even good for drag racing, just another thing you got to remember to check when your staging. Great video regardless and thanks fornsharing the imfo on this product
It worked perfectly last night. I know many hardcore laptop guys, it always one more thing to put in the trailer or truck. It was nice to look back at my phone and see it frame by frame at each rpm and then make my quick adjustments. Bonus points that I can use the screen recordings in my next video. Hopefully you can check that out.
Wireless for the win. Once joe finally installs his fitech, he won't need that anymore. If he installs the fitech distrubutor with his efi, he's going to have complete control over fuel n timing from his phone. No more twisting the cap or turning the fuel screws. Future lazy joe.
Hey I have a question I have a a8 p4532711 small block Mopar and I have been trying to find a ugl 50mm Needle bearing journal 48 degree cam and I can't find one help if you can thanks sorry I know it's not what you are doing in this video and I love seeing your builds and racing your cuda but I'm still in the hunt for parts mode so I could got my dart on the track making passes thanks if you can help and for your time Jason
Yeah that does seem to be a bit of a pita... the point of data logging is to retain the data but when running a racecar people tend to shut off engine power at the end of a run and goodbye log >.< I hafta say that buying an AFR gauge for my daily was the best and worse decision I ever made in my grease monkey life. People say 'oh just read your plugs!' ... sure for a drag car but thats not too good for a daily driver. The strap is for timing and the porcelain is for mixture BUT you can only read that mixture ONCE because you gotta cut the plug apart. Having a gauge means infinite tuning potential. Hence the best and worst decision aspect. I bought a holley refurbished carb for $275 and it was the worst pile I I have ever had the displeasure of tuning. Mainly because the morons used those press in bead type air bleeds for the idle/secondary circuits and they snafu'ed not one but THREE of the restrictor beads... two were cockeyed and one totally sideways. Regardless that gave me the excuse to build the carb to my exact needs. All three circuits got drilled and tapped for main jet blanks that I custom sized, it was so much cheaper (like 12 bucks plus the 18 for the micro drillbits) to make my own from blanks than buy 64 pre-sized. I spent 4 straight days and half a tank of gas fine tuning each circuit so the afr stayed either 14.5 +/-0.1 for idle and cruise or 13.0 for wot. The result was a 440 that got 19 mpg average in my work truck. It never goes lean or rich regardless the rpm or throttle position. Again... best and worst decision ever because the following year I did an engine swap... faceplant!
It's so nice you live close to the well paved roads in Mexico. Great tool.
Haha! Right down the road
Engine tuning just got a bit more tech added to it..hope you show the results from the track...great content and thanks...🔧🔧👍
Will do! Results coming next video
Without a "home" track, seems I'm never at the same place twice in a season. Makes tuning... interesting sometimes. Methinks I need one of these.
Yea buddy!
That’s pretty nifty. I love my FAST wideband afr monitor.
Which ever system you choose. I think an afr meter is a must have.
Thanks buddy. Bonus is that I can use the videos in my UA-cam videos(like next time). Lol

I will definitely try one someday. We just put my new firecore in last night at test and tune. Results coming soon!

@@DrGo-bw2jy thanks brother! It worked great this last weekend!
Boy my Christmas wish list keeps getting longer !!! This is a good one. Thx Joe 👍
Thanks Tim! It’s helping me dial it in
Thanks Joe! Gonna check it out
Thanks brother
Love your videos. Thanks Joe
Thanks brother
She's sounds great, hope you get it dialed in ,thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thanks Donald!
Great tool! Multifunctional and provides good data!
Worked great this weekend!
Thats kinda cool especially if you can save your data and compare changes you make.
🍟
For sure! Data is great!
A lot faster than reading the spark plugs. Lol.
Good stuff
Great point! The plugs are certainly the end all, but this definitely gives you a heads up!
Neat stuff......I didn't know I could screen record....nice tip
That was news to me too.
You can on an iPhone. I can’t remember if I had to move the icon to my screen or not
Joe that looks like the more you use it the better it will be. Tools are cool!
Absolutely!
You’re gonna tear everyone apart at Sikeston !
Haha! I’d love to see how it goes
That is very cool and thanks for sharing! I did not know they had wireless ones!
Thanks for watching!
Snazzy little gadget man 👍👍👍👍
It worked last night! Videos coming
Nice tuning tool!
Thanks Sam!

Haha! I like simple. I’m slowly evolving in to Iron man
@JustMoparJoe I notice! You already build engines better than guys that claimed 30+ years of experience. When your efi tech skills level up its over.
Nice outfit! Great tool!👍
Thanks Mitch! It paid off this weekend
That is something. I'm looking forward to getting that for my car😊
Thanks Shane! I tested it last night!

That’s exotic goodies! I don’t have any lie on that stuff, but Ed’s Machine may can help you out. Thanks for the support!
That's pretty cool.

Always more to learn on my end! Lol
Beats staring at your AFR gauge while driving or racing. To many things going on
Absolutely! I always forget to look down at mine
cool!
It was an excellent idea
That's cool 😎
🥔
Quick and easy!
That’s because Joe is Cool !
You’re on the money 💵 in time 🧭Joe . Nice test track 😀.
Thanks 👍
