Fun fact:
Parolas tank museum in Finland was in dire need of funds for an outdoor shelter for some of the tanks, including the worlds only BT42. Many of the donations they got were from Japan, and they were a bit confused. After a bit of research they found out that it was because of this movie.
And thats how a Japanese animated film about cute anime girls battling with tanks helped preserve some Finnish history

If i remember correctly it was becaus the rifles pipes were little bit bent so when you try to shoot at head it wont always hit so if you try to shoot at balls it will hit somewhere in body or head i might be wrong becaus i dont remember correctly
@@NestoriWasTaken Yea it wasn't because of that. It was because the recoil of the weapon. All rifles, shotguns and submachineguns that we used had a big recoil so it was because of that. And you propably know why it was shouted with an MG? Because of the firerate bullets went could went tens of meters away from the enemy. Thats why we souted "Fire at their balls". Finally watched Der Film... it somehow DOES manage to get crazier even after this. The main problem with GuP... is that there's not enough GuP.
My biggest problem with the series (at least the anime) is that everything except the tank battles is an afterthought. I love the action but want more stuff in between matches to develop the world and characters. I couldn't even name the majority of the Oarai girls

Fun fact:
The tank in this clip, the BT-42, was based around the BT-7 which in turn was based around a tank design made by an American racing car designer (specifically its suspension system). The suspension system was so good that the BT can still go on even without tracks.
I don't believe so, I'm completely certain it's based around a Soviet design BT-7 which didn't have a howitzer on it's turret. The Soviet design made the longest jump a tank has ever made (still holds) which is referenced here.

What I meant was that the BT-7 design made by the Soviets was based around a design made by an American sports car designer with the aforementioned suspension system. As for the BT-42, it was a design made by the Finnish by just attaching the KV-2 turret on the fucking BT-7 chasis and adding a fuck off huge howitzer on it.

Funny thing, it's actually supposed to be a British 4.5-inch (114mm) howitzer, in a Finnish designed and made turret stuck on a Soviet BT-7 chassis... that's the same gun by the way that you have on Bert the Avenger (FV304). Now imagine that with a turret...

a note bout the one with the supposed gunner sitting outside, if you're talking bout the french commander there is a person inside the turret actually manning the gun, they do be teenagers and small ones at that so it isn't impossible for someone to be resting their feet where the gunner is. Though I do agree this show is highly inaccurate in some places it does seem to be all for enhancement of entertainment rather than misinformation
