I tested the shot by the panzer III J at the first clip using the most accurate, comprehensive, and totally not biased tank on tank combat sim, war thunder and it actually can penetrate the T-34-85 at that angle. Wow the production team really did their homework
Or maybe their team has WT players who can leak confidential military info
T34's, as well as shermans have thin armor when its not angled since some of these variants only have 40-60mm armor in 90° and 80-100mm on 30-45° angles. Though the panzer 3 can still penetrate the t34 frontally with their APCR which could penetrate armors as thick as 130mm.
@@yuigahama3189 APCR rounds wouldn't help much IMO because they tend to not working very well with sloped armour

It is, but the danger of the equipment alone means that it is highly controlled. guns aside, the weight of multi ton vehicles is a hazard all on its own. The military is the only people who do it. there are some small parks that use paintballs, but they have drivers who go on tracks.

Bt-5 had the Christie suspension which allowed the road wheels to be used without tracks just like a how a car would, don’t know what the T-34 had though but it wasn’t the Christie

It just didn’t have the additional modification where a chain drive could be attached to the rearmost road wheels and the other modification that could allow the front road wheels to turn like they could on the BT tanks. This was done because the T-34 was significantly heavier than the BTs and the ground pressure would be too high if it drove without tracks.

Thank God they animated this cartoon to be PG. Because anyone who understands tanks and what happens the the crew of a tank when it's struck by a tank round, would get that some of those cute anime girls are cherry pie filling all over the inside of their tanks. Especially the Mause tank and the beginning of this flick.

As a Saunders fan, it pains me to see them being knocked out by a camping Sturmi. Like, man, what anticlimactic way to lose. Which also begs the question.
Why don't most of the schools use camping tactics if they're so effective?
It is historic background flair, to the Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä. The Finnish school uses obsolete Russian T-26 tanks and at least one STUG. Those were provided by the Axis during WW2.
Camping can be effective but it's also risky if your position if found before the firefight or if the enemy gets away they can attempt to outflank and surround you. By that point it's only a matter of who has the best accuracy cuz you ain't running then.
not many school had an effective shooter, Saunders had one, now i know that Keizoku also had one, on Ooarai side, Hana is a fair gunner but Ooarai dont have a good reliable long range tank
It is not camping it is an ambush. A valid tactic employed in WAR/Real combat. This is what most tank destroyers were built to do. The US was the exception because their initial doctrine demanded for TD to engage tanks, which led to more mobile TD like the Hellcat.

Well, in reality there would be a red mist and blood stain.
Someone explained it to me that aiming at the person is not allowed and that special ammunition is used. Other than that, the person said that it's anime/manga. It's suspension of disbelief, just enjoy it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
