The only thing I see that would probably make me unhappy is the pop in anti-rotation pins. I would probably prefer a threaded and chamfered solution here, maybe with a hex in the end for gentle tightening. This offering looks great, I just highly dislike loose parts that have a bad habit of hiding just when you need to use the tool. Maybe a bit of super glue would hole them in place, I just prefer a lower, less fiddly parts count. But I must say, personal preferences aside I have placed this on my buy list. Thanks for making this video.
We have our own extrusion made of this product and is based on the 8020 but like our fence has been adapted for laser markings, once this has landed we can make all these options available.
I just started to assemble mine. The large thumb screws that go through the bushing are M6 thread. The small thumb screws and the t-nuts are both M5 thread. And as such, I cannot use or assemble this. Or am I missing something in the instructions?
The 32mm markings are useful for shelf pin and euro style hinge spacing. Multiples of 32 is also useful for making drawer sides at intervals of 32, 64 and 96mm depending on how you like your drawer cavities spaced this is especially useful when using Blum undermount drawer slides or even shop base cabinets without any commercial slide at all. I think this would makes a great mid panel dado (housing joint) jig.
Too bad you decided to exit from Europe, the custom fees and taxes are outrageous. I bought a parallel guide some time ago, and it's a superb product. Unfortunately there where some problems with the extrusion so you had to send for, for three times, some replacements part, and I had to pay custom fees each time. The parallel guide costed me 50% more than the original price...it's not worth it, even if the quality is outstanding
You might be unclear about the fees associated with purchasing from the UK as an EU customer. When you order from a UK-based company, the 20% VAT charged in the UK is removed from your order total. However, upon receiving the item in your EU country, you will be required to pay your country's VAT, which can vary, with rates around 25% in some areas. In addition, there may be a courier handling fee of approximately €15 for processing your order. If customs duties apply, these can be around 5%, depending on the product. Therefore, the total added cost would not reach 50%. Even if we were still within the EU, you would still be liable for VAT. The total additional costs could be a maximum of 5% (for duties) plus the courier fee. It’s essential to recognise that not everyone in the UK wanted to leave the EU, and a broader understanding of these changes would be beneficial for all involved.
@@benchdogs-tools I got the right informations about the additional fees I had to pay both on your website and on the custom's website I visited before placing the order, I paid about € 157 for my order (130 for the goods and 27 for shipping) and € 51 to the courier for taxes and custom fees. Unfortunately the guide was not precise while using it to perform some narrow cuts so you sent me a pair of new brackets, and for that I had to pay around € 23 but that was not resolutive, so you sent me another set of extrusion and for that I had to pay another € 29. I understand the first € 51 I paid were for vat and custom fees and, as I said, I was prepared to pay them, but in conseguence of a problem with the goods I received I had to pay an extra of € 52 to solve it. I have to say the support I received from your team was outstanding, but the problems I encountered cost me 30% more than the initial order value....

That's pretty slick, Ralph! That anti-tipping puck is genius! Nicely thought out. Making the turns seemed to work with relative ease! Well done!
Thank you.
Great bit of kit. So useful
I tried making my own version with off the shelf parts. This is much better and looks easier to use
Brilliant work Ralph and great video.
Will the 1000mm extrusion be available to buy separately (as a pair)?
and the 500mm extrusion.

So this is just for the festool routers?
Nope any routers can use this We just have the Festool to hand
Does the anti tipping block fit all routers
This should do as long as the guide bushes are either 24, 27,30 or 40mm
@@benchdogs-toolsdoes that include porter cable style?
And did I miss how you clamp it down?
I want to buy this jig but I am wondering if it is compatible with t slot clam like festool or piher or any other clamp
Show making a set of stair stringers with it?

Please send us a email and we can sort this out for you.
I'm not a woodworker - what's the significance of marking all the 32's on the scales?

How do you clamp it to the mft?
you can clamp it anywhere you wish that won't obscure the router.
