Preparing & Installing Clip Rail Underfloor Heating

In this video, we demonstrate the proper method for preparing and laying a clip rail underfloor heating system.
When laying underfloor heating, the clip rail system is beneficial because it offers easy spacing for pipe placement and the installation process is simple enough that one person can do it on their own.
Here are the steps to laying the clip rail underfloor heating system:
0:10 - Before laying insulation boards, roll out edge insulation around the perimeter of the room.
0:54 - We recommend laying a polyethene sheet over the entire board.
1:12 - Mark up the floors with the pipe centres from your drawing.
1:29 - Lay down the Clip Rails keeping 100mm from the wall. Clip Rails should be done every 1m and should be 300mm from the end of the wall for turns.
1:37 - Snap and clip the sections together to make them shorter or longer.
1:48 - When ready, stick down the adhesive tape.
2:14 - With clip rails, laying underfloor heating can be done with one person.
2:50 - Clip the turns and feeds back to the manifold to stop any lifting during screeding.
3:13 - Your clip rail underfloor heating system is almost ready. Just make a final connection to the manifold.
