Hey guys welcome back to the channel and welcome back to another video. Today have a SUPER valuable video where we tested all the stage 1 remaps so that you don't have to. This video covers 4 remaps for the Skoda Octavia 1.8tsi. REVO vs Superchips vs E tuners vs Code 6. We have reviewed all the remaps and tested the stage 1 ECU remaps on the DYNO to check the power figures and power curves. @@AutoFly one query, is there any extra load on cooling system with stage 1 remap. OIL temp in my 1.8tsi remains ard 97-98 max degree in every sort of driving condition.

@@ShibswarupChakraborty Hello! Yes I have. I love the tune. The difference is not huge, but the car is a bit more responsive than the stock tune and the mileage has improved slightly as well. Also, the tune got better over time as the ECU learnt my driving behavior, so be prepared to wait a little before you see the difference. Overall I'd recommend it :) All the best!

Code6 map seems to be the most efficient. Its better common sense to use torque to make speed initially and then use hp for topend.

I recently got code 6 Stage 1+ map to my ford ecosport trust me I’m getting all the juice from the engine making a big smile and the initial turbo lag has just disappeared… And I’m getting highway mileage if 24kmpl where stock used to give 19-20kmpl it’s totally worth to get the code 6…

Based on your earlier video I got superchipps on my Octavia (diesel) and the performance is just mind blowing. Initial torque is almost like it’ll go through a stone wall. Superchips in the Octavia is a perfect fit I feel.

Hey guys! Chanced upon your video today and what a relief, as it clarifies most of my doubts and it was a fun video to watch too, no lags or dull moments :) Thank you for posting it! Just want to know the approx torque / BHP figures (or percentages) after the stage 1 remap. I have a 1.5 TDI cross polo (stock 89 BHP, 230 NM). Also, I want a linear acceleration similar to the stock system that I have. Which one would be closer to it, revo or code 6. And I am being greedy and asking one more question , which places would you suggest to go, for both these remaps. (I live in mumbai). Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hello , thank you so much for your feedback, really appreciate it , glad you liked it so watch our other videos too if you like content on runing cars and about the figures it would be difficult to give you figures off the bat , it depends on which tune you'd go for and what is the condition of your car you're running and other ancillary upgrades but you'd best get more precise figures from the code brands website itself with a few simple information inputs , we would recommend if you're a little strapped on budget then go for code6 / superchips both have diff outputs of performance but yes in your case with your requirements code6 would be recommended plus the performance and comparison of either you can see in our video too with drive feels so it should help you out and to get it done , code6 can absolutely go to KS motorsports

I'd say go with revo. Good map developed in-house and lot of R&D gone into it. Very linear power delivery will make it very easy to drive but also super fun at the same time

Glad you enjoyed the video! So Dhruv was more satisfied with the Code 6 map because he enjoyed that kind of driving style where he got power but with smooth delivery.
Gautam on the other hand preferred more power so he was more inclined towards the Etuners Map, but at this point he has already installed Superchips on his car.
Yes that is a true fact. Revo has been developed with a lot of research and also the fact is that REVO specialises in VW cars.

Got a Code 6 Remap for my SCross, didn't got a Dyno run though & your analysis was bang on target. I actually get some Wheel spin when floored but once I cross 3300rpm it takes off & for city drive you get sudden pickup whenever required. Need a suggestion for type of exhaust I can put in S Cross Stage1

It is completely dependent on which remap you consider for a stage 1. It ranges from 25k to 60k

My choice of a remap is from a tuner I can easily go back to to have the new map tweaked if I'm not happy with it. But of the maps featured in this video, the Code6 map is the one I would choose. Nice smooth power delivery, and low risk of damage with a modest power gain.
Yes that makes total sense, it depends on people's comfort zone and what kind of map one would prefer. Some people prefer branded and some people prefer custom one's

Wolf remap on 2.0 TDI is highly recommended in teambhp forums. Have you guys tried that? Was curious how it compared to other maps.
Hello , yes we have seen wolf is a pretty good map too , have not physically gotten a chance to try it but we sure do know it does good outputs
Are these figures without a TCU tune as well ? 1.8 tsi comes with dq200 which as a built in torque threshold of 250nm by default. So do we need to get a tcu tune as well to unlock the hugher torque limits ? And how does it affect the longevity of the transmission as it is the weakest link of the package
Yes, ideally a TCU Tune is required because it increases the clamping force of the clutch and other factors as well.
Who currently does the best remap for a vento 1.5 diesel?
Off topic..sorry...Been scouting the web for replacement tyres for the Taigun...Would anyone know if the Michelin Primacy4 215/55/R17 fit on the stock diamond cut 17 inch alloys of the 1.0 Topline ? Concerned if going up a size from the original 205/55 R17 if lock to lock turning the tyres rub against the wheel well..Thank you

Hi did u remap the TCU as well or only the ECU. I got my car remapped with Ecotune stage 1(both ECU & TCU) & it gave me 217 hp &350 NM at the crank… guess that’s a good gain with fairly linear curve delivery with max power kicking in around 3000rpm
That sounds like a good tune, 217 is a good number but what's very surprising for me is that the max power kicks in at only 3000rpm? That's really soon! How about max torque!

I have a new polo 1.0 tsi automatic. Hardly 1 year old. If i remap, will the warranty lapse? Does it show in the Vw system that it has been tuned???
Yes If you remap the car the warranty does lapse , if you send the mapped car to the service center it will ideally show up in their car diagnosis

Part failures may occur upon how you drive the care and how you take care of it a simple tune stage 1 will not cause a failure it's also where you get it done from , but etuners or code 6 both good tunes , have personally also used code6 for a while so biased towards it
Thank you for clarifying this confusion with the curves, i go for Code6 because its like best of both worlds. You get low end torque, Better Efficiency, Peak HP sooner at 4.9K RPM, and not stressing the engine too much. 🤌🏼👍🏼

Hi guys, could you give the exact pecs of the base car? The year and transmission type. Is It an auto? If so, isn't the gearbox limited to 250NM? The time might severely damage the gearbox, which is already fragile if so
Hello, the car is a skoda Octavia 2018 1.8tsi, with a DQ200 gearbox. Yes you are right, the gearbox can't handle much torque, but it's possible to change to a race /Kevlar clutch to increase the torque limit.
FYI... X-axis in Stock graph starts from 1000 RPM... and in all mods from 2000/2500... Only looking at graphs and not Units is like.... watching Wheels on Bus by Cocomelon ( Everything in a graph should be same when you give visual interpretations ).... and someone just commented Benchmark 🤣

We haven't really had a chance to get more first hand knowledge with the race dynamics tune but as far as code6 is concerned for a city drive it's a great map , as it still helps for a smoother drive and gives the power when you need it , fuel efficiency too it's a little better than a few other maps ! 👍 Hope this helps 😊
What's your take on Wolf Performance? I heard they are also quite good in ECU remapping thing.
Hello , yes they are pretty good but highly depends on what type of output you want for your car and then decide

Similar curves yes for petrol engines but it will change quite a bit especially because you're doing a diesel remap.

Hey I have a Punto multiple jet diesel making around 75hp and 195nm at the crank and I know the Punto has another variant sharing the same engine but with a different tune having 90hp and 215nm of torque so I was thinking if I could get a ecu remap and expect 100hp and 250 nm of torque at the crank and would it be worth getting a remap ?
Yes it's a great analysis you have done. You will definitely feel better after getting the car tuned, more power. How much gain you will get is something you will have to check with a tuner. If you send us a DM we can put you intouch with someone great.

What are your thoughts on Dieseltronic as if gives you multiple options for power and economy in almost same price?
Unfortunately , we have not heard or tried that particular tune yet personally , but if it is giving you the results you are aiming for at a good price then don't see why you should not experiment with it, do let us know how you feel about the map :) But if experimenting always be careful for the first few weeks to understand how your car is responding on all parameters.

Chosed Superchips to do the job. I have a diesel Audi A6 SE Avant, 3L V6 engine. Car is from 2010. Currently from factory it has 241 Bhp with 500Nm torque. They showed after remap my car will gain 280 Bhp with 601 Nm torque, sounds nice. Well, this car is heavy so thats why I wanted the extra, to use it when I need it ( not very often , I do take good care of my cars )

Code 6 is the best based on the graph. Don't just look at the whp.. race the car on street.. you will see the difference.

Hey bro, totally depends on what you want out of the remap? What's your driving style like?
@@AutoFly drivability should be improved in city. Top end doesn't matter, mid range should be strong. Turbo should kick in from 1500 rpm.

How much does the revo/code 6 -1.TSI average out in city driving ?
Both give around 8-9 kms/lt depending on your driving style in the city.
Was there a mileage increase after putting the map ? And also are the cars running the TVS TCU map for thr unreliable DQ200?
What about heating issue and tyre life since your tyres and engines are tuned to stock?
Haven't faced any such issues yet. But regular maintenance is important
Hi hello guys, have a doubt kindly help me out. have vw vento 1.6 TDI engine which is clocked around 115000kms, when it was at 80000kms have face an injector failure (solenoid) and have replace it with in a month one more injector got failed so replaced it after 3 to 4 months later 3rd injector also got failed so at that time one of my service advisor suggested me to go for a used injector since injector cost is bit higher me to decided to replace it with used one, after replacing 3rd (used injector) my cars pickup got reduced and with in a day again 3rd injector got failed so have went to the service person he did some adoption by using his laptop and there after no fault code is appearing but my performance of my car is reduced have showed my car to many service stations they are all check it by running ODS but no fault code is coming so all service person is telling with out any fault code we cant do anything inseams so don't know what to do kindly help me out with this TIA..
This sounds like a very weird problem. What's interesting is that it's always the same injector which keeps failing, could it be an electrical issue? Have you had a look at your wiring from the ECU to the actual engine? Some wires could be shorting causing the injector to keep failing.
@@AutoFly Hi thanks for your reply . Will check my electrical wiring connection .. actually tha failed injectors are based on solinoid problem only (electric problem)

Were there any issues in the car? Also does the remaps affect the cars longevity?
Absolutely great car to build on , remaps if done correctly do not severely affect the car health , need to keep your gear box in check if doing heavy upgrades (assuming if gear box still kept in stock) things like tyres, car average etc. get affected for sure.
Car was sold as an exchange for a bigger car to accommodate more people (Family Requirement). Very tough to part with car, no reason besides this.

@@AutoFly it is feeling much more drivable than stock. Way more part throttle response and spins up the wheels if even mildly aggressive. Flying in gear. No dyno yet only bum on seat feedback. Need a down pipe and uprated tyres and shocks now. Keep up the great stuff. Very important content. 👏

Depends on how much you would like to tune, simple tuning a remap is good, custom tuning with hardware upgrades, piggyback ECU

Tunes are available in Hyderabad but there are no dynos in Hyderabad as per our knowledge
