Camper Travelling: Exploring Behrs Flat Campground

Behrs Flat Campground in Geehi NSW is a peaceful campground set beside Swampy Plain River in the Kosciuszko National Park (Snowy Mountains) and is accessed via a gravel road off the scenic Alpine Way. Near Khancoban in New South Wales Australia.
Set up Camp by the water, sit back and take in the views of the Western Range of the high alpine peaks of the Snowy Mountains. Check out this Campsite's historic Keebles Hut constructed from the Large River rocks that line the bed of the Swampy Plain River.
Behrs flat campground has great highlights all year round, from swimming and fishing in summer, to views of snow-capped mountains in winter. In spring, beautiful displays of wildflowers. A dozen threatened plant species can be found around Geehi, including elusive cress and black-hooded sun orchids.
Fire up the Barbie, Sit around the campfire and chill. Look for the local wildlife, Eastern grey kangaroos, Red-necked and Swamp wallabies, Wild Duck species, Black Cockatoos, wombats, and possums. Dawn and dusk are the best times to try and spot platypus in the river.

Winter (June to October long weekends): $29 per vehicle per day (24hrs from purchase); motorcycles $12; bus passengers $11.45 per adult, $3.60 per child per day. Find out more about the winter entry surcharge.
Rest of Year: $17 per vehicle per day (24hrs); motorcycles $7; bus passengers $6.60 per adult, $2.20 per child per day.
Passes: Single and Multi-Day passes available from Khancoban Visitor Centre's 24-hour vending machines, or via the Park'nPay app.
