I think $100,000 per year is pretty suitable. Being most people don't make $100k/year I think that's a pretty decent compensation. For over 30 years I think it should be bumped up to $150k/year.
While we all were complaining about the amount, Steve is the one who has given him something which may not return him the years he has lost but will support him in many ways. Stop complaining and appreciate others who are actually doing something. Thank you Steve.❤ God bless
Maybe Steve gives, just not in the open for everyone to know about. This man was truly wronged and no amount of money could ever give him 36 years of his life. It seems to me that he's not bitter, and he's on a mission to free other innocent humans. He has a purpose. It's a great one. The company blessed him with $5,000 and free toothpaste. My kids have plenty of toys, but they're GRATEFUL when someone gives them a box with a picture of a car on it, or when they find a painted rock someone took the time to paint and hide. It's the attitude of gratitude. That attitude just makes a person want to pour out the blessings even more. This man seemed grateful, even though $5,000 isn't $250K. God bless him and his family.
What about other Black Entertainers that could donate to his cause? There are several that are Multi Millionaires!! They just need to give from the heart!!
I remembered Archie Williams. He went on the X Factor and rendered a song by Elton John and trust me everyone including the judges were on there feet giving Archie a standing ovation. Punitive, which is typically a statutory sum and compensatory (a.k.a.) pain and suffering. Now how much pain and suffering did this man endure being wrongly imprisoned for 36 years? I guess it was not wasted. Look at him bro. We all know him. And he moved me to the next level of faith.
No offence, but it wasn't wasted. He coached the winning boxing team while he was in there. It such that he went to prison, but God used him the whole time. He might of even lead others to Christ that would of wound up going to Hell other wise. So kudos to this man and God.

Imagine goung to jail when you're a young 22 year old, coming out nearly 60 year old man. He lived the beginning of his story, and now he's living the end of his story, but he never got to live the best part of his story. Sad
He didn't have time with his children.
Maybe there were times when his family really think that he was the real suspect.

100 million is ridiculous but one or two million is reasonable.
tedmccarron - One million for each year is reasonable. Fact is, time can’t be brought back, 36 years of his life are gone. Think realistically.
I think $100,000 per year is pretty suitable.
Being most people don't make $100k/year I think that's a pretty decent compensation. For over 30 years I think it should be bumped up to $150k/year.

And the $5000 wasnt even his.So steve didnt give him nothing
More than that

@@Bolero6879 at least a million tho
@@Bolero6879 - say what? You're trying to make a rational calculation out of something inconceivable. What's your life worth to you? Where to begin to even describe what was wrongfully taken from this man.
In court there are usually two financial awards levied in cases where financial compensation is appropriate. Punitive, which is typically a statutory sum and compensatory (a.k.a.) pain and suffering. Now how much pain and suffering did this man endure being wrongly imprisoned for 36 years? I think $50 million actually sounds about right. Taxes would take about $24 million which would equate to about $1 million for each year he spent in prison.
