I have a few things to mention about the formula with crothix, polysorbate 80, and oil. (the green body wash) 1. the mica powder ended up settling. This took much longer to happen compared to the blue body wash recipe. So I do not recommend using mica powder with body washes using crothix. It does not work as a suspending agent for mica powder. The mica powder is okay to use in the recipes containing SCI and xanthan gum. 2. not only did the mica powder settle to the bottom, but there also seems to be some separation with the oil/solubilizer. (At least I think) the body wash is still opaque, but is a little darker and there is about a centimeter of separation on the top. Go to my patreon to see a photo because I can't really explain it. I have posted a photo over there showing what it looks like now. This post is free to see so you don't have to sign up for my patreon to see it. Patreon link - www.patreon.com/taraleee
What would you recommend to use for color since the micas didn’t work? Or what’s the best way to make the body was with the micas so that it doesn’t settle to the bottom?
It's amazing to see so much information packed in one video. Love your ability to break down the steps and explain without making it sounds complicated
Loveeee loveee watching your videos i found your channel when I was planning on making my own products until I changed my mind and now literally just watch ur vids cause it's so relaxing 😂
I just read a research article about mango kernel oil in soap and to test the lather they combined 1g of soap with 99ml distilled water in a graduated cylinder, shook it for several minutes then let it rest a few more and then measured the bubbles on top, (I said a few minutes because I don't remember the exact time they used). You could probably adopt and adapt this method to test the larger of your own products. Thanks for the great video!

Also my business gets a little crazy every once in a while and I can’t find time for UA-cam, which sucks, cause UA-cam is my favorite part of my job.

Absolutely love your videos and I wanted to know if you could maybe do a video on a makeup cleansing Balm or just a normal cleaning Balm? I really want to get started on bringing it into my brand but I don't know where to start 😮
It is so absolutely freaking hilarious to me that just today I did this exact thing. I was going to make me some milk bath so I could take a bath and I thought you know I want some bubbles in it. Threw in the exact ingredients listed here along with some cyclomethicone. Just enough for one bath but I used it more as a water softening bubble bath\Milk Bath. Was absolutely yummy on the skin.

Great Video Tara! Thank you so much. Just wanted to ask. I remember you were saying Apple surfactants and coco glucoside works really well. Can you add coco betaine as a co surfactant to those? - thank you!

First let me say, your videos are so informative and inspiring. Thank you for your being so selfless and transparent. 🌹♥️ I’m researching but can’t find. I have questions. I’m making oil for skin and beards Initially I started with organic products it was going to be labeled as organic but now I’m incorporating other oils that are natural. Any advice on how should the label can be read. Can it have as ingredients “Organic and natural” or would it be considered “natural oils” now on the label? How should it be worded.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoy my content 😊 Normally when brands use organic and non organic, in their ingredient list on the back they put a * next to each ingredient that is organic. Then under the ingredient list say “ingredients with * next to the name are organic”
@@TaraLeee Okk thank you so much for your help ♥️ I had another concern. I’m making a oil for the beard. I’ve also researched all the oils that I am using. I have about 11 oils and none of them clog pores and they’re all beneficial to the skin and the hair. Also is there a thickener that can thicken the oils to keep moisture and shine that would not affect the mixture? And Do you think is a good idea to mix all those oils for ONE product?
Hi Tara, new subscriber. Thanks for this series. I have learned so much. You have mentioned a PH buffer several times but what brand are you using or do you make it? I watched the video on PH but either missed it or it wasn’t mentioned. Thanks again

Hey Tara! Thank you so much for the knowledge again! Pls keep continue doing so! You are good at it! I have one dilemma what if my AOS40 is in powder form? I will try to dissolve it just like SCI right? Thank you!
Hey Tara, I just want to start out by saying I love watching your videos. I love how you break it down step by step. So I tried your creamy body wash recipe and I’m not sure what I did wrong. So I have to convert the % to ounces and I hope that I converted it right. However my body wash came out clear and not white. I put the SCI, Bentaine and Glycerin and Distilled water in the water bath and I let it sit until it was creamy. So how long after you take it out of the water bath should you add the distilled water into the other part? The lather is wonderful but it just didn’t come out white. I know that you are very busy so whenever you have time. Thanks in advance
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you love my videos 😊 So when using SCI and coco betaine together two things can happen. If you use more SCI than coco betaine then the formula will come out creamy like mine. If you use more coco betaine than sci it will come out clear. But here is where it gets confusing.
