Looking for a creamy even texture.
Thanks for sharing, but then if someone wants to do it in very large quantities like 100 bottles, can you help me get the measurements of every ingredient I need to use for such quantity
You are welcome . Yes you can substitute but keep in mind that it will change your consistency slightly since aloe Vera gel has a thicker consistency. You may need to adjust your thickener if you use aloe Vera juice .
Thanks so much for sharing. Can you add fragrance to it? You made mention of sharing the measurements, I don't see it. Can you please give an idea? And hope I can get all to purchase from your site?
I don't use the pre made body wash bases. You can check the supplier website where you want to purchase from and there should be more information there.
Hello instead of castile soap can a combination of cocamidopropyl betaine and decyl glucoside be used and instead of castor oil can peg40 hydrogenated castor oil be used and instead of sunflower lecithin be used just sunflower oil.
@@denisebrown333 The sunflower lecithin in my formula was my emulsifier . You are welcome to use sunflower oil for its moisturizing benefits or any other lightweight oil . Hope this answers your question. Sunflower oil and sunflower lecithin are 2 different ingredients .
Yes you can use something else . I like to use a combination of surfactants when I make my cleansing products . You are welcome to use only 1 if that works better for you .
Hi Esther, your videos are perfect! I wanted to ask. I have made some changes to this recipe. I changed the lecithin with Polysorbate (Tween) 80 and the oils were mixed with water very well in the first phase. And instead of all dose of Coco betain I have added half and half first Coco betain and then Coco Glycoside. Everything was going well until I added the Coco Glycoside. Immediately on the surface of the solution a layer of white flakes formed and did not dissolve at all with the stirring. What could have gone wrong? Do you have any advice? Thank you!
Hi! Thanks so much . What I would suggest is mixing all your oils and polysorbate 80 together very well first . Then mix your Coco glucoside & betaine together in a separate jar . Then add in your oil mixture to the surfactants and gently mix to blend together . I think that will help . Coco glucoside also acts as an emulsifier and can emulsify small amounts of oils so adding your oil mixture/polysorbate 80 should make your formulation more stable . Let me know how it goes .
Thank you for this recipe. I tried making it twice and having a really hard time incorporating the xantham gum. Everytime it is getting gummy or having clumps and I'm afraid to keep trying because I'm wasting a lot of product. Is there an easier way to add it or another substitution?
Hi! With Xanthan gum you don’t want to over mix it . If you do it may get gummy . Also you want to mix the Xanthan gum with glycerin until it is well mixed before you add to the body wash . Other substitute to thicken your wash would be salt or guar gum. Hope this helps .
Hi.. thank u so much for sharing the complete process. truly appreciate it and grateful to u for the same. furhter would appreciate if you share the link to buy lucidal sf complete preservative ..waiting for reply. :)
Depends on how much you want to add . It shouldn’t harden your wash . I have a cocoa butter body wash and I used cocoa butter with no problem just add a little .
Castor oil is not a preservative . You will need a broad spectrum preservative . I also have 2 detailed preservative videos on my channel to help you choose one . Just type preservatives and it will pull it up .

Hi! Love this recipe. Is this still a viable recipe you recommend
Hi! Thank you for sharing this recipe! Would this perform well in a foamer pump bottle? Especially if using decyl glucoside as a surfactant?
Hi! You are welcome . If you want to use a foamer pump bottle you would have to remove the thickener from the recipe . Decyl glucoside is ok to use
