Agree with the other comments, you definitely need to watch the actual Kingdom performance. The meaning they put for this song is someone they care for died and they want them back. They make a deal with the devil to sacrifice themselves to bring the person back. It works, but they die to do it. It's such a beautiful performance.

I love skz’ take on this song. They made it more “modern” in a sense because the og I feel like is more ballady. Their performance on kingdom is amazing and the storyline too- I love the way they eliminated the romanticism out the song and made it rather emotional and aimed it at a wider audience. Idk if that makes sense but ig it would when you watch the performance lol. They really made the song their own and gave it a whole new meaning.
To us stays, this is one of skz best live performances. From the storyline, to the vocals, to the production, the rap, the stage. Just wish Hyunjin was there too.

They did not do so well on this round but ironically this Kingdom performance is a favourite for a lot of people. It is an atypical performance for SKZ who mainly rap but this performance has more vocal component which is a switchup for SKZ. This is one of my most favourite performances of SKZ.

Yeah. The ranking doesn't matter as much as grabbing attention of the audience. This performance got may Korean posts and comments. Plus, Melodys (BtoB's fandom) were also satisfied with this performance [and of course, many Stays love it too]. SKZ needed more domestic exposure, and this performance was perfect for that.
Also, Melodys helped streaming SKZ's successive title track, Thunderous, in Korean streaming platforms; this boosted a lot SKZ's digital points.
So, this performance was really beneficial to SKZ.
