They definitely bring the metal mindset to some of their stuff, maybe from the two members growing up in Australia listening to more Western music? BTOB's original version of this song was pretty intense (the video is insane) but adding the storyline of trying to resurrect his deceased little brother through sacrificing his own heart, yeah, that's metal. I.N was so upset after this performance because of the tiny crack in his voice but I honestly thought it fit the energy and emotions.
Han was singing in this performance to btw right after seungmin in the beginning!!! he was singing and rapping in this performance
They literally _waged war on heaven_ to bring the kid back from the dead.
I'd really recommend, even if on your own time, watching the TV version of the performance ( ua-cam.com/video/8_pLQnZ09Hk/v-deo.html ), where you also see their competitors reacting to it backstage. Of particular note, BTOB (here represented by Eunkwang, Minhyuk and Peniel) are the guys that performed the song originally; indeed, Minhyuk and Peniel were part of the lyric-writing team for the song.
You also get to see an example of the classic exchange where someone (in this case the Boyz' Younghoon) discovers that Han does more than just rap, and a nearby friend (Haknyeon) points out that he can do _anything._ 😂 I always love seeing those revelations. 😜
There's also Changbin's friend Wooyoung (from ATEEZ) being a huge Binnie fanboy... 😁
For turnabout, if you haven't seen it, you should also check out the reverse, where BTOB covered SKZ' Back Door with _their_ own spin... SKZ were _incredibly_ excited and proud for their seniors to do their song!

I did watch the kingdom performances all day once. They're so good. All of them. When watching the tv show, I have to skip after this song. Poor IN cried because his voice cracked and he thought he messed up. Personally, I thought the performance was amazing and didn't even notice that he made a mistake. I really wish it wasn't a show where they were ranked though, because this performance took last place and they looked so disheartened. It was such an awesome performance they have nothing to be sad about.
One of mu favorite performances from Kingdom, this was too emotional and meaningful in every way.
Exactly. Felix' growl n Changbin' raspy rap exactly what BANG my head back to kpop. No degradation to other groups, but stray kids is THAT hard.
They are generally considered 'too noisy' by many--which in my opinion i feel kpop world was actually saturated at that time, but THAT NOISE man, successfully became a cultural reset. I would say as music evolves, fortunately kpop does as well, and stray kids def is one with a role in it!
Oh, check up their latest MAMA performance too, dude! They did rock ver of their song Thunderous and its aaaaammmazzing! 🤘🔥🎆
this song is originally btob’s song! this round of kingdom the groups did covers of each other’s songs, so btob did skz’s back door!
These are some of the skz songs i recommend which has rock elements to it:
- cheese
- hello stranger
- 3rd eye
- awaken
- district 9
- my pace
This was great but it wasn't their song, it was a cover of a BtoB song. On Kingdom they had to do covers of each others songs so BtoB did a rock version of Stray Kids song Back Door. I'd recommend watching that too. And also BtoB's original version of I'll Be Your Man 😊
as someone whose favorite kind of music is rock, my favorite skz song will forever be Awaken. Man, i think you would love it. The guitar, the rap, the melody.... it's so good. an older one of theirs that unfortunately has barely any live performances, but an absolute banger
My fave perf of them in kingdom. Superb.
Fun fact. On this episode of Kingdom SKZ came in second to last. What?! I was shocked
Yeah, this song dropped my jaw for at least a minute after it finished. It was so unbelievably good. Talent fully on show 👍
Thank you so much for the reaction!! I enjoyed it!! I'll recommend to you their MAMA preformance 2021 The full version, it is soo good and intense!! I'm sure you'll like it!
Skz are insane. Really hope to see them live. They are Touring with a Live Band atm.
I like Skz
Thank's for reaction
So nice ;)
Oh, this performance one of the most beautiful
Actually this was a cover he original song by BTOB and for me this is the best cover done so far. Alao BTOB made a cpver to Stray Kids's song Back Door at the same show, kingdom. Please react to BTOB's stage too.

I agree I can and do watch the KLW performances all the time. Mayfly is awesome. Love SKZ performances but all the groups outdid themselves. I’ll check out more of your reactions specially SKZ
You were right.. changbin is the fastest rapper in kpop with a 11.13 syllables per second.
I like SKZ 👍😊♥️
I stop it like three times before the felix part was already giving me anxiety hahaha 🤡🤙💅
I thought you passed out in the end my dude.!! You good bro? 😂
for this part of the competition they came last
They actually came in 6/7 in this particular round. It was next to last, which is insane. I mean imo there were 2-3 songs that were better than SKZ this round but SKZ dominated the other ones. So they should have at least been 4/7 or 3/7. I have no idea how they came in at 6/7. I mean at least they didn't come in last but next to last is still pretty bad too.
@@kiramakishima7836 There were 6 groups in total
@@littleheavenpg Ah sorry, I knew SKZ came in 2nd to last in that particular round but I thought there were 7 for some reason. So yeah, SKZ came in 5/6. There was one group that came in last after them. But they really should have deserved at least #3 spot. I remember that round there were 2 that were actually better than them. But SKZ dominated the others imo.
The round was determined by 2 parts. Part 1 was judges. Part 2 was public opinion. Points from Part 1 and Part 2 were combined to give a total score which determined the rankings. Part 1 SKZ came in last. Part 2 they came in really high. Combining the points from Part 1 and Part 2, SKZ came in for a total rank of 2nd to last (5/6). I think some people are just remembering the points scored from Part 1 which is when SKZ came in last. But the rank/score that matters is the total cumulative score. Which SKZ came in 2nd to last, not last place. They placed 5/6 with one group coming in dead last.
