      @Jerome Jackson you forget from 1985 to 2000 Michigan went 12-3-1 against Ohio State. And trust me those Michigan teams were not as good as your Ohio State teams have been lately. Maybe not quite as dominant but pretty darn close. Of course things will change again and soon we went from average team in the early 2010s to a top team with Haughbaugh. Were not far away. In 2016 we may have stopped you or at the very least you got the first down by maybe an inch that's how far we are away from winning that game. I don't think any Michigan fan is happy since 2001. but if you like Trout the history of this rivalry Michigan has dominated Ohio State's then dominated Michigan's dominated and now Ohio State's dominating

    • @timothyraymond973
      @timothyraymond973 5 років тому +1

      I agree that Michigan will be back. I think it's funny people completely forgot that from 1985 to 2000, Michigan went 12-3-1 against Ohio State and trust me those Michigan teams were not as good as these Ohio State teams have been lately. Also John Cooper in his first six years went 33 -21 -1 and in his 1st 6 years only tied Michigan once. But I believe he coached for another five years or so and ended up doing pretty good actually. I don't remember people saying back then it wasn't a rivalry and that how Ohio State would never beat Michigan and that they were on a different level. it was just Michigan's time like it's Ohio State's time now. Remember where Michigan was back just five years ago and look where they're at now Michigan is back in the top 10 almost every year and soon it'll be our time to start beating Ohio State now and then I can promise you. Would you rather have Brady Hoke who actually beat Ohio State or would you rather have 10 wins and be in the top 10 every year and have Jim Harbaugh. Buckeyes enjoy it it's your time but this doesn't last forever I promise you. We're beating MSU people and forgetting that we're doing well against Penn State we whipped Notre Dame , We've done well against Wisconsin . It's not all bad Michigan fans come on .
      GO BLUE!!!

    • @OvertheHIL524
      @OvertheHIL524 4 роки тому +1

      In reality, Michigan wasn't even on Ohio State's level in the 90s when Michigan dominated the series. Those Ohio State teams were LOADED and heavy favorites only to fall to Michigan each year due to inept coaching by John Cooper. It was a culture problem at Ohio State that Jim Tressel fixed. Now Michigan has the culture problem. The game just isn't as big in Ann Arbor as it is in Columbus. Ohio State fans are a rabid fan base, Michigan's fan base is not. I've been to 3 Ohio State Michigan games in Ann arbor on the last decade. The Ohio State presence in the stadium is very noticable. It's a culture issue around the program that's the difference and harbaugh hasn't changed that and doesn't look capable of inspiring that change anytime soon

    Alabama leads auburn 46-37-1. Ok, sure. About what michigan vs ohio st looks like ( michigan leads 58-51-6 bout a two game difference). Except let's delve a little deeper. Auburn has won the last 2 out of three. David Pollack my good man, auburn hasn't just done that. They've won 11 out of the last 20 games, and since 1980 are 20-19 against the tide. A winning record. Sure saban is 8-5 against them, but that's far from dominant. My point is, Auburn has been very competitive against their rivals, even when they have down years the games are usually far from blowouts (usually anyway, 2011 and 2012 are outliers). It is not the same as ohio st vs michigan. In the last 20 years, it doesn't matter if michigan is really good or really bad, they seem to lose to Ohio st on a consistent basis (ohio st leading 17-3 in that span). So, please Pollack, stop talking. Because I don't think you really know all that much about what you're talking about. Don't make that comparison because there is nothing really there to compare.

Growing up in Bama with Paul writing columns in the state newspapers and hosting his regional Radio talk show out of Birmingham covering the SEC and sports but always known as the Bama show. He would always crow about coaches not getting it done at bigtime schools mainly blue bloods and always bout Bama. I don’t know if it was on purpose for career advancement or if Bama genuinely is special to him. Covering Bear Bryant’s ending as Bama’s sports reporter then the state and Bama making his career. Yeah we had Stallings win the ‘92 schip after the Bear but once Saban got there… Finebaum rode the train all the way to the top with National satellite radio then MSESPN mega deal
