God forbid UGA, Bama, LSU or FLA had to go to Columbus, Happy Valley Madison or South Bend in December to play a football game!!! Ever ask yourself why football at all other levels of football arent dominated by teams from the South!?!?!?!? Oh by the way ESPN will try their damdest to keep SEC teams from having to travel North of the Ohio River to play games in the expanded playoff system!!

Paul knows very little about the X’s and O’s of football. If he did, he wouldn’t have been so overly-critical of Jim Harbaugh, who I might add, is one of only a handful of head coaches who have succeeded on both the collegiate and pro levels.
These clowns are so afraid to mention FSU or Norvell.
I recommend that they don't make comments about FSU. FSU has a lawsuit pending with the ACC and the Florida Attorney General is currently investigating and gathering information. Who knows if the AGs investigation leads to anything but best not to open yourself up to being part of it.
FSU showed their true colors at the end of the season & became irrelevant to all these talking heads. Not to mention, waist of time & money lawsuits….

Better players, they haven’t been the better team. That team is loaded every year, but under-achieves. They are Bama and Georgia talent-wise but not top-tier at developing their players.
Harbaugh recruits guys that fit the culture at Michigan. He’s not blinded by how many stars are next to a recruits name. He runs the program like a NFL team. Treats the portal like free agency. Year or so ago he had a top 20 class but the number one portal class!.. all he needed was a QB and he finally got one in JJ.
Look at Day, he’s literally trying to copy what Harbaugh did. Day has 90% off team coming back and he’s dominating the portal (arguably). Now he just needs a QB (Howard could be it) and a culture…..

I think days biggest problem is they dont have an identity. He just grabs the highest rated player with zero regard for fit to style. Harbaugh gets players who fit his scheme

Kirby was one amazing OT play away from winning it in his second year. Covid championship OSU was out of the game by half time. Day took OSU who was the only B1G team that was a real national contender. Kirby had to deal with prime Alabama. If you take over a team with 3 previous top 5 recruiting classes, a fairly easy road to the playoffs, and had a seamless transfer of power then yes you should be getting criticism if your not meeting the minimum results expected.

My point is that both have coached in a NCG in their first 4 years and Kirby has come closer considering he nearly won his and Day had lost his by halftime. That isn’t bias it’s just facts. The overall big difference to me is that unlike UGA OSU had a overwhelming talent advantage in their conference every year Day has been head coach. It’s not like Day was in the same conference as the greatest head coach of all time.

I never thought I would say this (being a Michigan fan) EVER but Paul's right, though crying Ryan has had the best of the best recruits and you can't beat a 3 star (lol) Michigan team?! Ryan isn't getting the most out of his 5-star team.. Think of it this way you guys are getting gifted talent upfront, and Ryan isn't developing them further, and for Harbaugh he can take 3 star talent and make them pro players by the time they are ready to leave for the NFL Draft.. Case in point Michigan had the 14th ranked talent coming into the year and that makes Michigan the first team to be not ranked top 10 (14th) from top to bottom overall talent on there roster.. 🎤
He has a point here. Ryan Day inherited an elite roster from Urban and kept the recruiting almost at the same level. Harbaugh, adjusted his defense many times, developed the players and won it all 😅
you forgot to mention the cheating thats been going on the last 3 years.....beat ohio state in '21 by 15 points in AA, beat em in '22 in Columbus by 22!!!!!, cheating scandal comes out and with possibly best roster ever at UM beats the buckeyes in AA by 6!! Remember OSU vacated a season because of tattoo -gate.......which is peanuts compared to this scandal!!
@@garywascovich8436 This is a very tired argument. Sign stealing benefits defenses way more than offenses. With supposed sign stealing by UM, OSU scores 27 in 2021 and 23 in 2022. Then in 2023 without sign stealing, OSU scores 24. Not much of an improvement there! Sign stealing (if Michigan was even using the info gleaned from said stealing) was not the reason for the shrinking margin of victory. That was simply due to OSU bringing a better D in 2023 than the prior two years.

ESPN should have a minimum requirement for commentators and analysts .. that they should have a mandatory 5 year minimum of collegiate coaching experience and or 3 to 5 years of playing experience (college and or Pro) ... it's nauseating listing to the talking heads ESPN hires...

I hate to say it, but its looking like another georgia bulldogs year. It will be almost impossible for michigan to have a great season again. Sherrone will have a heck of a time rebuilding that team. Still no word on who their new quarterback will be. I think ryan day is a great coach. I dont like ohio, but i think just because their coaching staff was maybe not the best like everybody thought. That doesn't make him a bad coach. Brian Kelly i dont think will ever be on that same level as Nick Saban or Kirby. He has always been a bust.

As have most schools Michigan has had down periods in their long and rich football history. Taking their entire 144 year history into account....you can't put them anywhere else but among the elite.
