- Hey guys! We came to the dacha to liquidate the pool for the winter. And witnessed a very unusual situation. It turns out that praying mantises can swim. Who would have thought it. And judging by the skills for the insect is not unusual. It seems that he regularly participates in swimming. The mantis is so confident in the water. When we offered to help him, he immediately took advantage of our services.
No one has been swimming in the pool for a long time and has not cleaned the water, so there are some animals here. Perhaps the water creatures have attracted the attention of the green insect, which is famous for its hunting. There are two large species of bugs in the water here that may have attracted the attention of the praying mantis. The water bug and the Backswimmers. And there's more than a dozen of them. It's also called a water wasp or a water bee. The peculiarity of the Backswimmers is that it often comes up to breathe. It's likely that it could have made the praying mantis swim.
"Mantis is so confident in the water"
Mantis: frantically trying too escape 😂😂
The mantis was smart to take off-stay any longer, and it would've had its own Olympic swimming event... with a gold medal in 'synchronized drowning!
They don't even know the mantis is female
Bro, he said he
@@JulesAllison if a mantis has a big and round belly it's a female.
@@JulesAllisonlittle Timmy got the phone again
Lol, they don't even know how bugs breath, this is animal abuse.
@@RodasTadeus too bad so sad
The mantis was lucky because if it stayed to long it could become exhausted and drown
Can you say horseworm too?
After this the mantis is never seen again 🥲

Pretty sure a lot of animals can swim even if they aren’t built for the water, like dogs, however, they may not be able to swim well and have a higher risk of drowning.(mantis should be fine though)
Hippos can't swim they can only walk on the bottom of the water
Cricket's definitely can't swim, from experience having a pet frog, just getting crickets wet will drown them
Snails and slugs can't swim either
@@trenaebowers1968what about sea snails a-oh you mean that they don’t swim like fish shark and cetaceans
@@EeteThang nope they don't swim, play crawl on the bottom of the water
@@trenaebowers1968why the hell would something that doesn’t have fins swim?? Are u ok? A slug is not supposed to swim neither are snails so wtf was the point in saying this
@@zex8322 op basically said all animals can swim even though they're not built for water which isn't true, that's why I included snails
Aquatic snails are designed to live in water but they don't swim, crabs have fins too but they don't swim, they crawl roach style on the bottom of the ocean
I was today years old 31 when I learned we have water swimming wasps that sting and dive.. I’m subscribed to hornet king and the other wasp guy AND IVE NEVER HEARD OR SEEN THIS.! Amazing find and informative video bud

mantis shrimp vs mantis would be great
Mantis shrimp would easily win, its much larger and also goes deep underwater. So they wouldn't fight but the mantis shrimp would snap it in half with a punch
@@danalieu2506 toxodera denticulata if it was able to go underwater vs Gonodactylellus viridis
That 3rd mantis mahoraga it adapted to water
The mantis jumped out of his hand and went in the water, the man obviously threw it in the water at the start, and when he put it in the terrarium
