This is why I love this channel! Love all the different perspectives and discussion in terms of people not taking time to properly digest or review albums.
yeah i watched it but everybody besides myke was like lupe's career is a disappointment he's inconsistent and i disagree i feel like lasers is his only bad album the rest of his albums have been good to great
I guess that's fair. I mean to be honest, if you like the sound you like the sound. I think the only objective thing about hip hop is whether or not the person is spitting. Beat choice and sound aside.
21:04 Feefo: That's why I don't want to hear his next album Ken: I do Just proved that Ken is actually looking forward to an album since he said he never is lol.
Lupe got 5 black belts, and his dad used to run a dojo, hence the samurai pic. But yeah, I agree Drogas Light is like okay, it was meant for him to performed at concerts. I'm still waiting for Drogas & Skulls though. Those are the real albums.
I get the disappointment but WHAT ABOUT TETSUO & YOUTH!!! Why are people acting like he hasn't released naything good since The Cool. T&Y is a masterpiece, he still has made good music in the recent past
Well I think people certainly have a right to be disappointed with Drogas LIGHT, because I was too as a big Lupe fan... I just wanted to retain perspective that T&Y was only a few years ago and it was unbelievably good
Rohan When DROGAS really drops I hope he pulls through and gives us something greater than T&Y. To this day I still play at least one T&Y song a week and i can listen to that full album everytime
Y'all are hilarious. You say some bullshit clearly trying to get a response, but when you get one you act like I'm a bad guy. Hahaha! Dish it...take it. That's life, bro.
Come on Myke, you're clearly a very educated and eloquent guy, but whenever someone appears to disagree with your opinion, you seem to get very defensive. Just my opinion bro, I appreciate what you're doing
This album does bump though... This is only one of 3 albums meant to catch people's ear. This was a Lazer's reboot basically lol I think the next 2 albums will be similar to the Cool and Tetsuo.
I feel like people always want Lupe to preach to them. If he's not delivering some deep message they don't care, while Lupe has always been the kind to experiment and have fun with his music.
Myke hit it right on the money! Lupe is rapping on beats the rest of the group just doesn't want to hear Lupe over. I'm a big Lupe fan, full disclosure. I liked this and Lasers. But definitely get why folks are confused and not feeling. But we definitely need to make a distinction between what we don't want to hear and stuff that is ACTUALLY terrible. LET LUPE PLAY!!! lol
creativebobbie He had trap beats on Tetsuo & Youth and those tracks were great. So what's the deal with people's issues with the trap beats on this album? Not every time I wanna hear Lupe rap over a boom bap beat. What's great about him is he doesn't limit himself to just one style of production. He rummages threw a few before he can find the ones that suits him best. That's always been Lupe.
I think the problem is Lupe is one of the artists in rap that has been boxed in by "fans" and fans alike. They expect damn near every verse to be a double entendre and over the same type of production. And what is crazy is people talked shit about his style of subject matter and beat choice and lyrical ability when he came out with F&L and are now acting like they loved it from jump knowing they didn't.
+kooleyBear This is true. When he goes into SLR mode people complain about him being too lyrical. When he simplifies the lyricism he's accused of dumbing it down. The man just can't win with everybody.
Didn't Lupe say he deliberately made this lyrically "light" to give himself a break cause he wanted to take a break and keep things distinctly not "jazzy" because he's saving all his lyricism for "Drogas". Remember reading that somewhere.
Yeah but people don’t pay full attention, Lupe deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point, before judging looking into what’s really going on, he’s tryna be done with Atlantic so he just put out old songs that he never has put out
This is gonna break my heart ugh lol This is my least fave Lupe project, but Im still a Stan and think that Drogas Deep will be amazing. My theory is that he made this as his first independent project to piss off Atlantic and show he can make mainstream music like they would want but without the drama. But IDK, I guess he doesn't get a free pass. BUT PLEASE GIVE him 1 more shot lol Drogas Deep will be that shit. I still liked a lot of songs on this project, thought a lot of this shit banged. UPDATE Myke just saved the video for me again hahaha!!! I agree with him, 10000% not going back to this project a lot. Think he showing that he can do mainstream music but better with a Lupe twist But he did show off his skill MAJOR on these songs. Cant believe you guys didn't talk about the Momma track outro ! haha great video tho
I feel like this album would've been bad/mediocre from anybody, but coming from Lupe just makes it so much worse. Like Feefo, I listened to this multiple times and it just didn't get any better for me 'cuz it's sloppy as hell. Couple of decent moments here & there but meh.
Luke James I don't think it's bad as worst Album of the year. too me they're moments where I like but songs I dislike we're over the top. jump, made in USA, dopamine lit are dope, overall he just missed with it. Lasers was worse cause we expect super complex better example this is shape of inconsistency.
I didn't like this album at all when I initially listened to it because it was such a departure from Lupe's other content. But once I got over the fact that this was Lupe, I started enjoying for what it was. He still flowing on here. It's commercial sounding but not overly poppy and fluffy like Lasers. It's basically Lasers done right.
Bruh, he said this is his final record for Atlantic. Apparently he wrote a masterpiece for the real DROGAS, but he knew the label would shit all over his concept, so he dropped DROGAS Light to satisfy the terms of the deal, and when he drops DROGAS independently it'll be the real thing..
Not making an excuse for this album, but lupe's an artist you can't put in a box. This guy has made a rock album, does DJ ing from time to time, and of course raps. Good, bad or indifferent, Lupe does not play by our rules.
people out here givin' up on lupe acting like he didn't drop two quality projects before this, just 'cause this wasn't all that, it doesn't mean the next one will be as bad, it's lupe bruh
This album is the light version of what's to come on the next two. Favorite tracks were Dopamine lit, NGL, Made in the USA, Tranquillo, More than my Heart.
i get myke's point, but if a rap album has -mediocre production -trash hooks -features that dont complement the album -a handful of good songs mixed with bad ones then why do good lyrics from Lupe make up for all that? i think people have a right to be disappointed.
JPWicks6 because they are saying it's worse than what it is. It's good, just not what people assume to come from Lupe. Trap lyrics? With actual good raps? And he made that contradiction sound good(similar to Dumb It Down). Once you get rid of that box that we put certain artists in(how they should sound versus how they do sound), you see that it actually isn't a disappointment until after Kill. Everything past that wasn't good, average but funny enough much better than many pop tracks.
I saw this album as T&Y throwaway tracks recorded since 2013. His label fucked him over so why not release the stuff that didn't make T&Y and the 2 upcoming albums. This album was ok nothing terrible. Better than lasers lmao
After hearing Lupe on that Justice League track 'No Problems' I was hoping to hear him on more hyper beats and he delivered on here. The track 'Jump' sounds so god damn good because Lupe can adapt to a beat like that and still spit bars. I would rather hear a project from Lupe and King Los over Kendrick and Cole. Los and Lupe are extremely versatile when it comes to flows.
The next album "Drogas" which will be out in a couple months will pull Feefo, B, and Rod back in as Lupe fans. Lupe basically said this is a throwaway album, but Drogas is 11/10 masterpiece. It will be on Tetsuo & Youth, F&L 1, and The Cool level, maybe better.
He told everyone what the intent was in the review he wrote. It was supposed to be a Lasers reboot. Also, he said a lot of these are throw away tracks that weren't meant to be too deep. They also are songs that are for performance. The next 2 albums he said are no where in this lane.
I havent listened to this yet, but I'm really confused by the reviews. So people think Lupe can rap, but his beats are subpar.. when he raps over mainstream/modern/trendy beats, people say they don't want to hear him over the production. ???
JonathanIsrael708 Issue was that his bars were dumbed down on the album, even in a concert video he said "this album is for the dumb people, DROGAS is for the intellectuals", also said it was music from the vaults, but have faith, Lupe said "DROGAS" will be a masterpiece when it drops
+Northsyde The Cool is incredible but let's not lie that production was some struggle shit. They were good beats but the production is a different matter entirely. Two fucking beats went completely off beat in the album
lupe tweeted this was his revision to lasers. to me as a lupe stan this is a throwaway album and I'm hoping the other albums he's suppose to drop this year will be the conceptual lyrical I love. still don't hate the album. to one of your other videos, I'm still checking on lupe when he comes out again
@ 5:00 I hope we're able to be good enough to be the exception to this and give detailed and valid reviews of music. And if we're not the people are able to call us out on it.
Jay Z had nothing to do with food & liquor. Tht album was already done before he was even signed. And honestly, if you go back to this album, you’re telling me it’s that bad? No, it’s not
We may look back at this album very differently than the initial reaction. This guy is getting a strong reaction, I think that was his aim. And this album is mostly supposed to set us up for the next two. I prefer this to getting another Tetsuo and Youth to be honest, and am very interested to see what he does next.
This album is Lupe using the current climate of rap music to floss his styles as an emcee. This is what HIPHOP purists would have to deal with to make it like oh...JAYz does even Drake...both rappers have excellent skills as emcees, but todays rap fans don't fully give a focused thought to the music they digest. All aspects of HIPHOP culture is deeper than just consumerism...HIPHOP is soul of artistic creatives on display & all the contradictions you go through to get better and help others look at the bigger picture. In short Lupe is keeping his track record going strong, make a mix tape of all his good content and avoid the throwaways...he released enough content. Great review, as always I appreciate the honesty.
I think that Lupe tried to make an album with a different sound than what he is comfertable with, but he doesn't have the artistical reach to make an album like this imo. The reason I don't like this album isn't because Lupe did it, its because Lupe did it porely and yes he was spitting on this project, but there is more to making good trap songs than spitting.
For what I would call a throwaway album, I thought it was better than expected but still not something I'll really come back to. DROGAS should be where it's at, as Lupe said, "Illmatic meets Illmatic meets Illmatic", so hopefully it's a pleasant surprise.
Its called Drogas light... I look at it as a precursor of sorts for Lupe's lighter audience leading up to Drogas which will be more like a Tetsuo & Youth of sorts. This album did exactly what it was supposed to and it executed it well. Drogas will be more the album you guys are looking for and YES..LUPE IS RAPPING ON HERE.
I agree with the guy sort of defending the album (don't know anyone's names since I'm new to this channel). It was not what anyone was hoping for, thus everyone immediately decided to hate it. When it first dropped I hated it too. I listened to the album a few times to really digest it and I dig it now to an extent. It's not a throw-away album. The first half or so is great. The pop songs afterward are what killed it.
Feefo's critique of this - that he is confused - is absolutely redundant. It's a critique of him and not the album. Artists are not supposed to do what you expect.
To be honest, i think feef completely described what my take was on Chances coloring book. I thought coloring book was all over the place and really was reaching for too much while holding no form at all. It seemed to be confused if it wanted to be trap influenced or gospel influenced or R&B influenced. Personally it just didnt mix well at all. All things said, i think Lupe's album held similarities to that as well.
He told everyone what the intent was in the review he wrote. It was supposed to be a Lasers reboot. Also, he said a lot of these are throw away tracks that weren't meant to be too deep. They also are songs that are for performance.
Lupe been going crazy on trap beats for years. Y'all either never heard or forgot about some of his features on Bun B's "Swang On 'Em" or LEP Bogus Boys' "Zombieland".
Btw Lupe said few months back before this album release that he didn't want to mix up this turn up typa shit with his straight conscious Lupe shit. Hence DROGAS light. I didn't fw this project but it's good that he did it this way instead of tryna slip in these typa records on DROGAS
Myke, Ken, Feefo and Beezy if you want to review a super dope album listen to CES Cru's new Album Catastrophic Event Specialists. It came out the same day as Lupe's. Please review it if your busy schedule allows it.
@DEHH: Have you guys watched the music video for Pick Up The Phone? Does that music video affect your opinions of that song at all? For me, it made the song a lot better (though, to be fair, I don't mind poppy-ier rap.)
Myke was on point. This isn't expected from Lupe but i still thoroughly enjoyed most of the album. He took mainstream trap style beats and puts his lyrics over it. I thought it worked out mostly.
DROGAS LIGHT should of been a 10 track album. Lupe went in hard, regardless of the poppy sound, Lupe rapped on the first, 2nd 3rd, and 5th tracks. I give it a solid 8. I hope that DROGAS is a trilogy, I wanna hear more of Lupe.
I figured this review would go like this. I liked a few tracks on the album. I can't say this is a horrible album because I don't passionately hate all the songs. I don't like them, but I can't say they are garbage. I'm looking forward to his next project. I want to see what this 3 album year is going to look like in the end.
Lupes a lyrical ninja that can be dropped into any beat environment and kill it and get out reasonable unscathed. Let artistic people be artistic. It not the end of the world. he's not a desperate sell out needing attention or lacking direction (actually the opposite) he's just not going to be boxed in by critics or fans by being being free to experiment. For me half this album will be replayed, 6 or 7 new tracks is appreciated and not a failure
I feel like this album was leftover bits and pieces he recorded over the past few years. 'Tranquillo' is a b-side from Tetsuo & Youth, actually. 'Pick Up The Phone' and 'I'm Not Design' sound WAYYYY different from the first few tracks.
Honestly, Lupe's own review sums up this album perfectly. To me the first 8 tracks are good. Eh I'll throw Kill in there too. Those tracks could've made for a solid EP. As a whole album it's...eh. I understand what Lupe wanted to do, I feel like he lowkey succeeded. Best way to describe this album, Lupe made Drogas Light so he can finally replace Lasers as the mainstream album in his discog. It'll make for a pretty good album to hear in concert.
I'm torn with my thoughts on this album. I understand what he's trying to do. I like it for what it is but not the Lupe I like. I need more like The Cool Lupe.
Personally I liked "Pick Up The Phone". It was the first song I heard from Lupe after a long while of me NOT listening to him. I thought it was a call back for his old hit "Superstar". Both have the same beat intro and the same artist doing the chorus. I imagine he was trying to create that same reaction Superstar received. If he had succeeded, his album would of probably did better with sales I guess. Either way, it had a simple and meaningful concept, with the beat and flow that reminded me of Superstar. In which led me to start listening to Lupe again, but that's my take on that song. Enjoyed the album for what it was even though I don't listen to trap music as much. Lupe's music always intrigues me even though its not what expect. Liked the video, and subscribed. That is all...
do you guys think that the context in which certain albums are released have to be considered when you guys do a review of the album? because one crucial point I didn't hear at all is that most of these songs are old as shit as in Pre-Tetsuo era, so it's idiotic to act like Lupe decided to make "trash" music again. He literally said this was an appetizer and he wanted songs to perform at a concert. If you are a reviewer, definitely do some research. Yall still the best to do it lol. There are two classics incoming, DROGAS & Skull's. Be excited for that.
What Ken got that comb for? To comb his thoughts? LOL!
CRYING!!!
Leo Miller LMFAOOOOO
Leo Miller Hahahahahah
Leo Miller Damn. 😂😂😂
lmao probably for the beard but LMAO
For the culture...
Kennith Inge We gotta hope those next two albums are damn near perfect, and apparently this was just a bunch of off tracks due to it being "light".
This is why I love this channel! Love all the different perspectives and discussion in terms of people not taking time to properly digest or review albums.
Pretty sure his goal is for these to be the Magnum Opus, if Tetsuo and Youth wasn't it that is.
Kennith Inge do a review on Starlito- "Manifest Destiny" album
this album has to be a joke
yall actin like lupe didnt just drop a classic album in tetsuo and youth
Did you watch the T&Y review? It was overwhelmingly positive?
yeah i watched it but everybody besides myke was like lupe's career is a disappointment he's inconsistent and i disagree i feel like lasers is his only bad album the rest of his albums have been good to great
I guess that's fair. I mean to be honest, if you like the sound you like the sound. I think the only objective thing about hip hop is whether or not the person is spitting. Beat choice and sound aside.
cat tnt stop calling everything a classic
furthestfromthesun. Haha, I thought T&Y was damn near classic status, at least for Lu
So basically this album threw DEHH for a Lupe.
Cole Jordan W
Cole Jordan comment of the year right here
Cole Jordan that's a bar
Took me a minute to get this. W
Cole Jordan do you know the instrument at 0:35 ??
Yall notice Myke dont have eyebrows?
no because they don't exist
Cameronmy
lmao
lol they exist you just gotta squint a little bit
Atlantic wanted him to go commercial. now he's off Atlantic and this album has been on ESPN for two months
T and Y was great. F N L 2 was super underrated too in my opinion. I pretend Light didnt happen.
21:04
Feefo: That's why I don't want to hear his next album
Ken: I do
Just proved that Ken is actually looking forward to an album since he said he never is lol.
T Daniels Caught him slippin lol.
last years video he actually was looking foward for another album he stays slipping
DEHH RUNNING MUSIC REVIEWS AND NOW THEY GOT A PODCAST? ROD GOT TO WORK.
William McCarty
Big quint!!
*Indeed!*
William McCarty do you know the instrument at 0:35 ??
this is that classic dehh review style
Lupe got 5 black belts, and his dad used to run a dojo, hence the samurai pic. But yeah, I agree Drogas Light is like okay, it was meant for him to performed at concerts. I'm still waiting for Drogas & Skulls though. Those are the real albums.

Rohan also Pharoah Heights
Rohan Because people have short attention spans/memories. They expect everything Rappers/artist put out to be on some hot fire shit ya dig.
That too. GREAT EP
Well I think people certainly have a right to be disappointed with Drogas LIGHT, because I was too as a big Lupe fan... I just wanted to retain perspective that T&Y was only a few years ago and it was unbelievably good

I feel like Myke wants any excuse to disagree with someone
Or he just has a different fucking opinion?
And I feel like y'all come up with any excuse to post some negative bullshit in our comment section.
Chill out mate, didn't know it was illegal to have an opinion. No need to be so confrontational
Lupe been street before he was a conscious rapper
He was still dropping that knowledge though, he took a unique angle on the street stuff.
james jobber Still, listen to the lyrics dude.
Drogas Light is apparently a throwaway album. Drogas is "supposed" to be a lyrical miracle lupe album (hopefully)
Exactly
Octavian Johnson Lupe ensured it. We getting the real shit next.
The Boy - Lol don't shoot the messenger I'm just saying what he said
Yup
How does Feefo not mess with album? It bumps in the whip
cause lupe washed
Angad Babra it ain't bump in the whip like that lol food n liquor and the cool bump in the whip this meh
Angad Babra lmao like his favourite line
This album does bump though... This is only one of 3 albums meant to catch people's ear. This was a Lazer's reboot basically lol I think the next 2 albums will be similar to the Cool and Tetsuo.
Angad Babra
Hell yeah it does

I fully agree!
B-Mint1994 this is bad lyricism and music. Mixtape Lupe, cool, f&l, t&y lupe raps his ass office! Here he's avg at best
I deleted Drogas Light. I will stick with Tesuo and Youth and act as if Drogas never happened.
Mansur Omar i second that! only songs i like are kill, dopamine, and jump is ok... beat is hard, dont care for lyrics
Mansur Omar yeah imma wait for DROGAS
DROGAS didn't happen. This is Drogas *LIGHT*
Didn't Lupe say he deliberately made this lyrically "light" to give himself a break cause he wanted to take a break and keep things distinctly not "jazzy" because he's saving all his lyricism for "Drogas". Remember reading that somewhere.
Pieces of a man yeah on his own review. Dehh needs to read that
JM C they briefly talked about Lupe's review
After Tranquillo the album is near unlistenable
I'm just going to skip the light version.
MF Whom ? I love your name and even though I don't blame you, I think there's a couple songs worth listening to, but just a couple.
Rod Sully which ones ?
MF Whom ? The last song on the album was the best one. I only liked about 3 songs mind you.
MF Whom ? Dopamine Lit
more than my heart, kill, made in the USA & ngl.
Didn't lupe said that this album was a compilation of old songs he had?
david flores
yeah i think so
yea this is Drogas LIGHT. The real Drogas drops in a few months.
Yeah but people don’t pay full attention, Lupe deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point, before judging looking into what’s really going on, he’s tryna be done with Atlantic so he just put out old songs that he never has put out
Should have made this a free mixtape to hype the album. First half was tight second half fell off real quick.
This is gonna break my heart ugh lol

Cant believe you guys didn't talk about the Momma track outro !
haha great video tho
Off topic but Oddisee drops on Friday...can't wait
JJPHILLYLG Hope they gonna review this,I know Beezy430 is a huge fan of him..
Thank y'all for uploading this today, this shit'll get me through the night
tropojay1
Same here
tropojay1 same smh

You got it. These guys will have you think Sadistik doing Trap shit is cool, but Lupe doing it is bad. See how weird that is?
We in this bitch! Shout out to the other Patreon supporters
dajhier1 yeah! yeah! yeah!
dajhier1 I know your true intentions.
Thank you very much. This review led to me to listening to Lupe Fiasco's tetsuo and youth.
Glad to see that DEHH enjoyed his next project. Drogas Wave was dope.
I just want another Tetsuo & Youth level project. Hopefully DROGAS Wave & SKULLS are dope...
I liked this album.
This was cool album!
Dou Ahou
Yeah it was pretty good

rmsg120nsb Factz
rmsg120nsb I thought F&L 2 was okay. T&Y was straight up fire though.
i wasn't even talking about f&l 2 tho, pharoah height ep right after tetsuo & youth
rmsg120nsb Oh, well in that case I AGREE!!
This album is the light version of what's to come on the next two. Favorite tracks were Dopamine lit, NGL, Made in the USA, Tranquillo, More than my Heart.
i get myke's point, but if a rap album has

He reviewed his own album and did say it's leftover songs from his previous couple works, it should be free imo
TheSnoozeFox he has the whole damn thing on his channel
He even says in the intro "this ain't for billboard, you can stream the album on silk Road"
Thanks Myke and Ken for a great review.
This album is pretty good, but I like Tetsuo and Youth more.
MF Whom ? I didn't say it was as good as Tetsuo and Youth. I said this album was pretty good(imo), but I like Tetsuo and Youth more.
I havent listened to this yet, but I'm really confused by the reviews. So people think Lupe can rap, but his beats are subpar.. when he raps over mainstream/modern/trendy beats, people say they don't want to hear him over the production. ???
JonathanIsrael708 His mainstream beats are subpar, the cool and FNL had dope production.
Superior 2K, great context that adds some sense to the confusion.
Mainstream trendy beats aren't that good. Lupe is best over soul samples, loops and shit like that.
I gave up on lupe a long time ago..
I gave up after Lasers...but we'll always have Food & Liquor though.
Tetsuo and Youth is probably his best album and it was his last album tho
Tyrone Omarian no. Food and liquor was his best album. Then his second. Then it went down hill
joshblue32 t and y is his best album
tetsuo & youth is arguably as good as what you might consider his best work. pharoah height ep right after is tight af too.
lupe tweeted this was his revision to lasers. to me as a lupe stan this is a throwaway album and I'm hoping the other albums he's suppose to drop this year will be the conceptual lyrical I love. still don't hate the album. to one of your other videos, I'm still checking on lupe when he comes out again
@ 5:00 I hope we're able to be good enough to be the exception to this and give detailed and valid reviews of music. And if we're not the people are able to call us out on it.
Straight-up: This is fighting game music.
Lupe is so damn talented. He just needs someone over him guiding him musically like jay z did at first.
Is the Mic Still On is so entertaining and real. Congrats Feefo on the engagement. Myke's Keith Sweat story was heartbreaking.
This is just the Light version.. I can't wait for DROGAS!
Bruh, thank you for the review. I agree there is no consistency. I expect more.
Leave Lupe alone, this album is a 6/10. Wait for the next album
I must be stupid but I have zero problems with this album I don't understand
I love hearing everybody's opinion on this channel.
Great videos and I respect all of your guys perspectives fr
I'd love to see a Jonwayne's Rap Album Two review.
YES. DEHH, if you're reading this check this album out. Also the new Quelle Chris joint.
I wanna see them have an in depth conversation about Lupe's career. SO INTERESTING
food and liquor 1, the cool, tetsuo and youth, that's it.
Food and liquor 2 wasn't bad... I kinda liked lasers tbh
Drogas Waves
Mike always speaking my mind..
Pick up the Phone wasn't even that bad in my opinion ya the chorus was very pop but the beat was decent and Lupe was spitting. Or am I tripping ?
David Camino I agree 100% I thought rapping/voice/flow wise That was easily one of the best on the album which overall was complete trash
Don't give up on Lupe yet, he still got it and Drogas is gonna be lit. 🔥🔥
Lupe's light work is still sick af, zone out the beats and just appreciate the guys mic presence!
Wish I could support you guys on Patreon, but currently broke. Keep it up, great video as always.
Myke, Ken, Feefo and Beezy if you want to review a super dope album listen to CES Cru's new Album Catastrophic Event Specialists. It came out the same day as Lupe's. Please review it if your busy schedule allows it.
I'd love to see a review on the new Jidenna- The Chief album that I was definitely surprised by. It is a project that I thoroughly enjoyed.
i just heard futures mask off beat and if it sounds like that i might be feeling this, i gotta go listen
Think this album has aged pretty well.
Lupe said this was a refined Lasers. These were literally all the throwaways from T&Y when the label wanted a pop sound
if they don't make a
"...but is he rappin'?" t-shirt, it's a missed opportunity. I'd buy that shit right now.
Myke was 100, all the other criticisms were about the music and the vibe, hardly anyone said anything bad about the lyrics. Lupe can rap.
ok this review is interesting not what I expected but good, all in all I agree with myke
That album is very dope to me. He dropping all kind of shit in there. I listen almost daily
I'm torn with my thoughts on this album. I understand what he's trying to do. I like it for what it is but not the Lupe I like. I need more like The Cool Lupe.
Quelle Chris-Being You Is Great, I Wish I Could Be You More Often, I hope you have a review for this in the near future
Can't wait for DROGAS. Mural Jr already has me interested
