You're all gonna hate me for this but you annoy have a dream team without Anthony fantano. In my opinion there's only 3 hip hop reviews he got wrong by 3 or more points. Blank Face which he gave a 5 but it should be an 8, channel orange he gave a 6 which should be a 9, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy which he gave a 6 which should be a 10. And even the last one, he said everything about it was good he just didn't care about the content. But still, DEHH/RapCritic/BigQuint Indeed/theneedledrop is the best you can get.

Feefo is on point this review. The front half of the album is stacked, then there's a hard fall off. Not a good album overall, but there are genuinely dope songs on it.
It'd be dope if they got Rap Critic on more often, he seems like the only guest that really worked among the group and shared in some banter. Cause he's used to solo reviews it seemed like he had to make a comment on everything but given some other features he might work better in the group.
I thought that was a "too soon" joke about the roof but when the camera panned over and showed Myke smiling and laughing about it I thought it was all out of love. I like seeing shit like that. Respect. *resumes video*
This was fucking excellent! I hope you guys have RC back again in the future - it was great seeing him play off other experts for a change, and the way he dives super deep into lyrics and shit really added to the discussion. Great fucking episode!
I've been waiting for this review since i've subscribed to both the Rap Critic and DEHH. I'm so happy to see they finally did a collab and i would love to see *in DJ Khaled voice* another one.
really cool to see Rap Critic on a DEHH video, even more awesome that he was there in person, I assumed he would be there by skype, SO AWESOME, good job guys !!!
ROD, FEEFO, BEEZY, MYKE and KINGE if i get 100 likes yall gotta do this classic review: Young Jeezy TM 101. That album is the epitome of a classic. No its not super lyrical but the impact it had at the moment as well as the years to follow (even til today), and how it changed the landscape of hip hop was monumental. That album has soooo many quotables, the adlibs, the production, etc. has it in contention as one of the greatest albums ever. Not to mention, yall are in ATL...so do it for the city. UA-cam comment section, fuck with me.
My favorite tracks were Those first five, Play Yourself and Tourist. Tourist was very good, I'm a big fan of Travi$ Scott though. Nas Album Done is probably my favorite, it is just done too well. Holy Key, For Free, and I Got the Keys I liked these three roughly equally, Holy Key has an advantage though, especially because Kendrick has, if we exclude Nas, the best verse on the album easily and this Kendrick verse in particular is stellar. J. Cole's song was really good, I have not been much of a J. Cole fan but if I heard more like this I could become a fan. The Don't Ever Play Yourself is good, but it's my least favorite out of all the songs I actually like. It is better than all of the songs I have not mentioned though because all of those have simply not caught my interest at all, at least not yet.
I'm with Myke, I Got the Keys grew on me big time. Hated it at first now it bumps. Nas Album Done might be the track of the year honestly. Holy Key was dope. J.Cole track was good. Rest was meh.
The whole project dope as fuck except for the skits. It was fucking annoying to hear every song and have to hear some bs ass snippet of him talking in the background.
They forgot about them DJ Drama projects that were big when Khaled was still on the come up as a producer. Khaled also has an interview with ebro discussing his exact process for albums and it actually changed the way i looked at him. He is kind of like hip hops modern day Quincy Jones in the sense that he is in the background pulling strings while getting most of the credit.
I agree with Myke. J-Cole is pretty overrated. He's fairly average but he gets more praise because most of his peers are pretty garbage so it's easy for him to stand out. I don't hate him, but people put him way up there for no reason.
He is relatable, but so are lots artists that are better than him. I don't hate him, I just don't think he should be particularly high on anyone's list. He's pretty high up there quality-wise for what you hear typically on the radio but the radio is mostly bottom of the barrel stuff (in most genres not just Hip-Hop), so being at the top of that list doesn't make you exceptional.
I think a lot of people are fans of the person more than the music when it comes to J Cole. He seems like a pretty humble guy like a guy you can just sit and kick it with. Feels genuine like you could hear the pain in his voice back in the Warm up and Friday light days. He says a lot of corny shit though 😂him and Drake
c town definitely finished this review off the right way. that is the best "if your watching" segment to date. you can't get any more honest then that. Much respect myke
Honestly if y'all want the more lyrical aspects of a Khaled album then listen to a Statik Selektah project. He brings together those lyrical somewhat underground dudes and they all spit fire. Lucky 7 and Extended Play are prime examples.
I'm just going to leave a comment and not reply to anyone that replys back to me. Look this is DJ khaled. I can tell you from experience of living in south Florida. The music that he produces is for the new generation. It occupys a certain demographic of young people who like to party, have fun and vibe out to something simplistic and melodic. This album to me was amazing because for that lane of hip hop it did what it was made to do. This isn't a rappy rap artist, I'm not going to use the same hip hop standard that I use for Rakim with an album like this:You guys always do this. You guys because of your age, in my opinion always tackle and album the same way you do every other album.I knew you guys would say that Nas album done and Holy key were your favorite because they are the 2 most lyrical tracks.Again judging an album through the hip hop standard of the stereotypical " hip hop head. " you guys did the same with Rick Ross mixtape, Triple beam dreams was the " best song " because it was Nas spitting.I wish you guys would bring younger guys on the show like you guys did at the biggining of Dehh, so the viewer can get a different perspective.Anyway love the show still always been a fan.Wanted to leave a respectful and honest comment and hope one of you guys at least understands what I'm saying.
I kinda wonder what DEHH think about Tory Lanez? His debut album was pretty dope to me how it was orchestrated and how talented he is but I see in this review they don't care too much for the new artist like Tiller and Future.
Just like all Khaled projects, people will pick out the songs they like with the artists they like. At least this one has maybe 4 or 5 songs that will appeal to hip hop heads or party people. This is the exact kind of album I stream online. No need for a physical purchase.
RAP CRITIC MAN!!! First saw you on Anthony Fantano's review for A Better Tomorrow (the worst wu tang record). You're such a funny guy. I love your reviews
more rap critic pleeeease! yal need to let him expand his opinions and let him get comfortable. shout out to dude on the left with the long hair always makes me think. Nas had THE BEST track on the album and spit 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tobie Olson I dont listen to Cole for that very reason. He isnt a rapper. He cant even round out a bar like a true emcee, so he sings the end of his bars. Im just not a fan of that style of hip hop.
Hate to say but Kent was the best just because you can hear Jada and Fab half stepping their bars. Not that they can't spit 🔥 but their effort was half assed. Which was pretty plausible since it's on A Khaled Record

surprised y'all said nothing about nicki's horrendous verse, "he ain't messing with no average chick, POP POP!" --- most laughable line of 2016.

My favorite tracks were Those first five, Play Yourself and Tourist. Tourist was very good, I'm a big fan of Travi$ Scott though. Nas Album Done is probably my favorite, it is just done too well. "Nas album done" was the best
thats the only track playing out in NY on the radio
They forgot about them DJ Drama projects that were big when Khaled was still on the come up as a producer. Khaled also has an interview with ebro discussing his exact process for albums and it actually changed the way i looked at him. He is kind of like hip hops modern day Quincy Jones in the sense that he is in the background pulling strings while getting most of the credit.
What about the Kent Jones verse fam?
trash
One of the best verses on the album.
+Granville Smith I thought so. I didn't know he was that nice.
Most underrated verse on the album. hope his projects sound like that
Thought that nigga was Vic Mensa for about 2 weeks but verse was cool
As much as I love the collab and thoughts, Tourist was top 3 on this album, I love that shit. Travis Scott makes great music imo

I kinda wonder what DEHH think about Tory Lanez? His debut album was pretty dope to me how it was orchestrated and how talented he is but I see in this review they don't care too much for the new artist like Tiller and Future.
Feefo will probably like it, Ken and Beezy will hate, and Myke that nigga's unpredictable so idk.
Kendrick was the best part of this album!
Just like all Khaled projects, people will pick out the songs they like with the artists they like. At least this one has maybe 4 or 5 songs that will appeal to hip hop heads or party people. This is the exact kind of album I stream online. No need for a physical purchase.

Cole was on some Outkast shit with that Interlude but his verse was trash.
Romy Taylor The delivery was the main problem for me. Singing every last word of every bar got annoying and corny, like much of Cole's music.
+Romy Taylor dont listen to cole so I wouldnt know. Either way he isnt rapping and its corny to me. Just my opinion though
The Supervillain Then why you talking trash lol?
Tobie Olson I dont listen to Cole for that very reason. He isnt a rapper. He cant even round out a bar like a true emcee, so he sings the end of his bars. Im just not a fan of that style of hip hop.
