  • Skipping a jig is actually easier than most people make it out to be. I really think it is about 95% the equipment that you use, and only about 5% skill.

    Absolutely insane skill! And the newer video of you skipping is incredible. I could watch an entire video of just skipping baits 😂 ASMR style. Despite my best efforts I cannot skip, yet here I am a year later trying to watch these again!

    I worry about overrun on a bait caster with skipping. I've gotten pretty good at skipping a wacky rig on a spinning reel. Need to practice this.

    Great tutorial just got a couple things start by finding docks with more space between the lake when u are beginning than this guy lol he was super advanced lol I think a lighter jig 1/4, 3/8 may give easier skip as a beginning person as well

    I can put a jig anywhere I want but it's easier with a reel that has magnetic brakes. I started learning on a reel with centrifugal brakes and it's way harder.

    Kind of a simple question but when feathering where would the thumb contact the spool, lower toward the reel seat or more up on top of the spool?

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  3 роки тому +1

      Typically my thumbs rests partly on the release lever and the top part of my thumb is on the spool. Keeping part of your thumb on the lever allows you to be very constant with how much tension you put on the spool with your thumb
