I’m a big fan of shrimp recipes, but these shrimp tacos might just be my favorite. They satisfy my cravings for spicy Mexican flavors, are approachable enough for an easy weeknight dinner, and will hit the spot as a crowd pleaser. Just season your shrimp, give them a quick saute, and whip up a mouthwatering cilantro lime bacon slaw. A drizzle of lime crema takes them over the top for a seriously delicious taco. It's an unbeatable combo!

We made these tonight. The BEST shrimp tacos ever! Everything you make is absolutely amazing.
*Shrimp*
• 1 pound large raw shrimp shells removed and deveined
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
• 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- salt and pepper to taste
*Slaw*
•8 ounces bacon
•1/4 medium green cabbage core removed and thinly sliced
• 2 cups (not packed) cilantro leaves roughly chopped
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
•3 tablespoons lime juice
• salt and pepper to taste
*Lime Crema*
•1 lime (zest & juice) 1 garlic clove (minced)
•1/4 tsp. salt
•8 oz Sourcream
*To Assemble & Garnish*
•8 tortillas
•1 large avocado
• limes wedges
•extra cilantro leaves

The lime crema really can go on anything. I make that randomly now just to have it around and use it a lot on scrambled eggs. So freaking good!
I made this for dinner yesterday. It was so delicious!!! I never liked sour cream but lime crema was game changer! I will use this crema for other recipes like you suggested. I have made a lot of recipes from downshiftology and so far my husband love all of them. Thank you for sharing great recipe. I am sure I will make this a lot when we go to RVing!

I've got that same garlic press, and LOVE it.
What I found, is using the BACK of my knife blade to scrape the face preserves the edge of the blade. _I don't like sharpening knives, and anything I can do to lengthen the time between sharpening keeps a smile on my face._ 😄

I make something similar to this, ry mixing mooshed avocado into the lime crema instead and add a drizzle of honey to the slaw and for the prawns (shrimp) I sometimes use smoke prawns with slightly different seasonings.

Just made these and they are amazing! I did use shrimp but I believe chicken would work just as well if your not a shrimp fan. I literally could eat it without any meat or shrimp and still be completely satisfied. The slaw and the creme is heaven. Great recipe! This one is a keeper!
