Hi Chris!!😀😀 Adam is starting to catch onto the processor pretty well. Nice to see you getting all the extra help!!😀😀 Take care my friends!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al
Very nicley done, Both in the processing and the documenting . Welcome back to another episode of In The Wood Yard with your host Chris Carlson. Todays special guest star The Easton made 22MB wood processor featuring Adam and Tyler
Good morning Chris and friends, Adam has the moves, Bert has the groove. Chris has the camera. 2 inches of water in the rain 🌧️ gauge this morning and still coming down. Keep on cutting
I was thinking, man- you guys have some different looking Sugar Maple than we do. Then I remembered you saying that there's a fair amount of Ironwood (Hop Hornbeam) in these loads, too. lol. I even saw a stick of Ash. Sugar Maple is quickly becoming my favorite wood to burn. Not only does it give about as perfect a burn as you could ask for for cooking, but it smells very nice, too. Plus, due to it's fine grain- and how hard it is, it's fairly easy to split it into just the right size pieces for the grill. Money well spent, imo. Your customers should be very happy with it.
Nice video Chris. It appears that you have the best crew on UA-cam. Very efficient operation of some very nice equipment and really good firewood logs. GNI
For whatever it's worth to you I was chatting with Andrew about box blades the other day on his channel and it come up about box blades on the processors. He said if anyone with a processor contacts him he will send everything needed to modify a box blade onto a processor.. he can't do the mod officially but nothing stopping someone like you from doing it. You should give him a shout. Maybe talk him in to some grisly bars or a shaker deck while you at it. Lol.
@@InTheWoodyard you should. No resplits. Far as all the processor guys I watch with Eastonmades no one has done it yet. So your videos would be very popular
Great work guys. I bought one them bench grinders. Haven’t set up yet. Should be nice for a chain that has hit something. That processor definitely be nice on hot day. Lot less physical then doing it the old fashion way lol.
In watching your two new labourers and I notice that thier hand he and eye coordination is very good as they are producing better firewood than you did Chris. So keep up the good work as you will be able make a lot of good firewood with out the resplits that you were making before.😀😀😀😀
Hi, I already have purchased a splitter from you and I like it. I would be interested in a wood processor. I make about 100 face cords a year. May I ask how much this machine costs.
Nice job, Adam...👍 With some seat time all of you are sure getting smoother on the 22MB! How are your sales? I hear some channels claiming things are flying off the shelf and others talking of slow sales this summer. Just wondered how this poor economy is affecting recreational firewood sales in your area? I think the real eye opener for me was how quiet things were over the 4th of July. My area is usually bang, pop and crackling for a whole month. Even on the 4th....I noticed very few home fireworks which tells me folks are tightening their budgets up on recreational spending...🙄
Good question, it is drying in the log form a lot already and it will dry very fast once it is cut and split. It has vertical cracks all tye way up and deep into the middle already....I will check it!!!
Hi Chris, great videos I could watch u split wood all day, I would love to send you a sticker of my firewood company how do I go about that, thanks mike from fishers firewood 👍🏻
Hello sir I have a friend that has a few logs that were bought for firewood and no longer has a wood stove or fireplace. Would you be interested in taking them off his hands for him? He lives in Appleton and I live in Missouri so I don't think I could take them and thought you might.
Does you toob Add the commercial wherever and whenever they want ? Just curious. ( Not a whine) Do you have to take the time and rffort to edit a space for them in post production?
Maybe??? It really trashes the wood a lot. The 8 way seems to work very well. It is the #1 wedge Skidder Kev uses most all the time and he is a professional.
Good idea, you will need to bring 3 friends who volunteer and another splitter $5-10k to do it. Also the elevator would have to be level to get at the splits so you will need to bring another elevator to lift the resplits up into the trailer. they are only $20-30k. Let me know when you are coming! Thanks!!
As much as I want to see all the kindling pulled out of the scrap pile Chris too maximize profits I think I would rather wait until burn days and see it lit up. Because that's becoming a big pile.
Chris what if you were to try what dude ranch did…ua-cam.com/video/-dnyA-j3cc4/v-deo.html Instead of stacking into totes you could have your splitter at back of raised trailer, split pieces as they slide down to you, and then toss into adjacent dump trailer. The raised trailer could act as the buffer while hand split trailer gets unloaded.
That pile of wood trash would heat a house for 1-2 months. It is a shame it isn't easier to use it. I burn 15-20 piles a year about 3'[ cubed and am amazed how long it burns and how much heat it puts off.
@@InTheWoodyard And very time consuming. Unfortunately you can't make money even though there are several cords of wood in there. Maybe Gavin can start making bundles of kindling in his spare time.

Thanks! You too!
Always great to have extra people to run the wood processor. The debris around the processor certainly does pile up quick.
We have a solution to debris clean up that works good. I put a video up on my channel.
Yup, you will see a new clean up system soon, it was Berts invention.

Hello!
all way keeping things tidy thats a great thing could you add a rubber flap yo the tip tray ? stop those pices from falling through

Chris, maybe you can make it three for three tomorrow ❤😮
Maybe!
Hi Chris - Any updates on your Haix boots? Curioius how they're holding up and if you 'd do them again?
Not yet, they are great, I just am not doing much cutting right now. It is processor time now!
Hi,
I already have purchased a splitter from you and I like it. I would be interested in a wood processor. I make about 100 face cords a year. May I ask how much this machine costs.
You would have to go to the EASTONMADE web sight or call them. I just use their machines, I do not make them. You want to talk to Gerry at Eastonmade.
So sorry - I know Gerry - I will contact him.

The sales are way down and that is what I hear from most all the other firewood people too.
@InTheWoodyard Hopefully this changes as folks head into winter in search of heating options.👍
So when is Tyler going to get to run the processor!!!
I think his turn is tomorrow???
On our processor are conveyor runs to another conveyor and they stack for resale of firewood small pieces in tote call them spitter ends use it all
NICE!
Chris, what is the moisture content of the maple that you are splitting.

Yup, a big bin is in the works!!!
Looks like bert should bury the scraps and grow a big garden!!!
Yup, we will.
👍👍
Thnaks!!
You should have grabbed the splitter and do resplits off of the conveyer.
It would take 4 more guys and 2 ultras to keep up with processor doing resplits.
All they need is two more volunteers.
But it's a good dream
Wouldn't need to catch all of them. Just what you can get to. It still puts you ahead of the game.

Well as always videos are great if i could hear you very thing else you can hear , tracker ,saw ,processor but not you or Adam or Bert

need a full timer, worken yard
I vote for one of The Price Is Right lady's.
