This guy's actually a pretty good reviewer.
Especially his gesture at 0:34 ;)
He's been doing it for decades so he knows what he's talking about
That's one of the best videos autocar has ever done!
The bit in the tunnel was spot on.
listen to that V8 in the tunnel!!! AMAZING!!!
Great review makes me want one!
Fantastic review!! 👍
Great vid. Looks like it would be loads of fun to drive.
I'd love to have one of these cars; a Ferrari that you could actually drive daily--and it's quick!
Best of both worlds.
I love that squeal he makes when he takes it through a tunnel
Great car, great review. Loved the tunnelpart:)
Good review :) autocar ftw!
Thank you for saying EXACTLY what I was thinking.
THE ENTRANCE TO THE BRIDGE IS GREAT
that was a pretty good review I've got to say.
B-E-A-utiful car, this car is amazing, the sounds in the tunnel almost made me cry in amazement!
i love the styling
Nice review.
This just made my day :)
I love the F355 the best, but this is fantastic! I love his laugh at 5:24 when he goes through the tunnel. My father and I have done this is his F355, and it is really something amazing.
This car is even more beautiful from close trust me on that
Good review
My dream car always loved it!!
@dekster14LP HAHAHA ur hilarious, this car is BEAUTIFUL, I love every aspect of this vehicle. the clean lines, the auto trans, the hard top, the navi, the engine, the look, the color, and the quietness when driving with the top down. I am a satisfied customer. :)
this is my favorite ferrari yet
FANTASTIC !!!
If I sold my house I could buy one of those.
I’m sorely tempted.
I’ve slept in worse places !
Precisely. Well written and true to the point.
tunnel looked awesome
looks great. this was only released in California I assume.. someone correct me if i'm wrong.
@Shonenut213 the original ferrari california was actually designed to be sold in America only, but this one is a retro name and it's kinda awkward that they name it california but they sell it worldwide lol
Love the tunnel
The California is the coolest Ferrari in the sense that it's not absurdly fast, but definitely fast enough and looks so cool for road touring and showing off.
the 2008-present Ferrari California is assembled in
Maranello, Italy
brings the classic sound of a 355 back to ferrari! so beautiful!!
2013 model holds 20.6 gallons of gasoline; edmonds estimates 13 mpg city / 19 mpg highway... range 260 miles city / 380 miles highway
Could they upload something in higher resolution. . .
I think it's my favourite Ferrari, couse it has comfort for everyday driving with Ferrari beauty, hard top, 2+2 seat and.... it's really fast!!
good work!
A near $120,000 price difference as the California starts around $195,000 and the 599 started around $275,000 (07 new) and $320,000 (12 final year)!
@Alex3349 remember,it's also a convertible
@LMA629 that was awesome, my dad scares the shit out of me when he goes thru a tunnel like that lol but its cool to hear the engine
is there an automatic mode? no need to change gears?
I absolutely love this car! Only 3 probs: The front styling, the satnav, the price.
the engine on the 2008-present Ferrari California
Engine
4,297 cc 90° V8
seing the fucking camera man pinned back was awesome
i know this is irrelevent but i read this guys columns every week and i never expected his voice to sound like this... sorry for wasting everyones time with that comment!
how long would I had to wait for this car if I ordered it now???It's perfect and even for a good price accordingly.
Something between a Z1 and Celica?
The best interior. Awesome exterior great sounding thrilling engine proper transmission love it
lmao! Luv it when he was speeding in the tunnel...I actually do the same thing...
i agree, it is very very nice.
has this car really been out for 2 years, time flies!!!!
lilmaz
still, it looks amazing
so cool and so good car
Yes, it's all about power & passion Nice!
Ferrari Style Boating is cool too.
i have one in red i love it
Awesome.
ive blasted porsches , ferraris, lambos in tunnels but nothing and i mean nothing came as close to mutiple explosions ( orgasms ???) as the sound of the 1992 tvr griffith . god bless peter wheeler . may his sould rest in peace . i will never forget him for what he gave me and many other petrol heads like me .
@bugattilover100
the 540bhp Panamera Turbo has the optional Porsche power kit.
o mmy gosh i just love this car
got my name down for one of these, this car is designed to do exactly what it says on the tin !!!THINK GT !! FANTASTIC CAR!!
Where do you get all the money..?
Realy nice looking car.
the california and the 599 are my fav
i used to badmouth the double clutch gearboxes and their transformation into ferreris. but having driven this car (in forza 3 haha) the gearbox seems to suit it well. on a track, it seems more usable than even the audi r8.
Yeah, it is a DSG, same technologies used in Bugatti Veyron. It looks like Ferrari was so impressed with the gearbox it was stated the company was ready to pay it. It won't be surprising DSG will be standard to all future Ferrari except those designed for race.
beautiful
Hmm... same opening music at the sXephil... wonder where it's from
a beauty!
05:20 - 05:26 engine sounds amazing
great car. Finally, Ferrari produces a car that is pleasant AND fun to drive.
I have yet to see one, which is weird, as I would expect to see tons...
Well actually...if you looks around my favorites for a while you'll see that there's at least one in the Netherlands already.
And the USA also has a few I think. I know of at least one.
looks basically like a Grand Turismo with Ferrari Badging. Sounds really good though.
actually alot of people have said that the california is much better looking in person than in videos or pictures...
hes working for "drivers republic" really good web page, simply google it. they have lots of videos with chris
50% agree
It's way prettier than the F430 as well! I love the curvaceous styling.
i happen to think this car is fantastically beautiful... much better looking than a 599, a 430... absolutely gorgeous.
NICE
xdemon123:
You never saw him live in California?
interiors are really fantastic, are not those of a Rolls but they are equally beautiful
can you just ride in a pure automatic mode? no need to change gears?
cool car
@REFUSETRUCKS3 I have it it does about 600km with 1 full charge.... but I go on 7th gear most of and in highway...around town it's about 450km..so yes u can run up to 5 hours inside it...
Give it everything......LOL. Great bit, sounded awesome.
I hope there will a California Coupe, lighter and with a slimmer rear
ive played one of these in a video game but, i prefer my ford taurus, my personality, or my mom's toyota sienna van. i moved to college in it. I live in ames iowa if your wondering.
thats what i like about a Ferrari... u get attention at every fuel pump station and ur in a Ferrari... need i say more?
i've seen the light at 5:24
woooooow
again
my god please i want this car
What a car!
@shadower95 yeah, across Romania right? but i like a full review better....
i like it.
i like!
My goodness. Now you're reaching all the way back to the 70's to distort point. Actually, the 2nd gen Trans Ams, Camaros, Mustangs, etc. of the "pony car" era were pretty good handling cars. They were designed to segway into the Trans Am road racing series. But I was referring to the clear factor of the Shelby Fords, Vipers, Corvettes, etc., that have quite the history of road and track performance (Le Mans and the world over).
all of the ferraris sounds great
where the hell is chris?? looks like it drives real good. still dont like the way it looks though but i would never refuse a ferrari if someone offered me. cheers
yea alot of the old ones were more rounded the newer ones
"The thing that distinguishes it from any other Ferrari ever built is the hardtop?" This Ferrari is distinguished by it's hardtop rather than the front mounted V8? Slight oversight, there, perhaps, not even mentioning that?
"...... and give it EVERYTHING" hilarious
For a second, I thought "Why is he standing next to an RX-8?"
c2jones i don't want this to evolve into a conflict, you made your point and i have to agree it was a good one. If you ever come across Europe i'm sure you'll find more than "canned sardines". You'd be suprised
