    Don't know your goals with the channel but, I know many many will find it very helpful. Do panels come with predilled pin holes? Do you have a video on forming and pouring a addition with concrete roof? Are colums needed for the tied to the existing wall portion of the roof? Just in case, where I'm from, we build concrete boxes as houses.

    • @unscriptedwithantonio
      @unscriptedwithantonio  2 роки тому

      Most the panel have to be drilled. A lot of times you have to drill and epoxy rebar in to existing walls. I'm not sure about the colum part. These walls weren't on a roof. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you for watching

    • @unscriptedwithantonio

    Newbie here. I'm wondering, why do a foundation first with rebar, then add cement again? Why not cement all at once?
    Wouldn't the concrete be stronger?

    • @unscriptedwithantonio
      @unscriptedwithantonio  Рік тому +1

      Your foundations are concrete. It's possible to pour the foundation and walls at the same time. It just takes a lot more material. And a lot more kicking and bracing. Pouring them all at once is a lot of pressure on the formwork.

    • @smallnuts2
      @smallnuts2 Рік тому +1

      @Unscripted with Antonio so this would be for buildings not 3ft retaining walls? I'm just trying to get knowledge.

    • @unscriptedwithantonio
      @unscriptedwithantonio  Рік тому +1

      @Smallnuts yeah, we did the footings (foundations) for the walls first then the retaining walls. Mono pours are dangerous. It's very easy for something to go wrong and then you end up wasting a lot of concrete.

    • @smallnuts2
      @smallnuts2 Рік тому

      @Unscripted with Antonio I have one more question. Why do retaining walls have drains but, other cement slabs have rocks underneath and are several feet high?
      I take it because retaining walls the water can sink into dirt and all the weight can loosen wall?
      Where a slab 2-3ft high on dirt up against a cinderblock wall with rocks underneath cement, won't sink?

    What's the standard size bit you use for predrilling panels?

    • @unscriptedwithantonio
      @unscriptedwithantonio  Рік тому

      Depends on the wall. But most of the time, we use 5/8ths. It's just a little bit bigger than the 9/16th head of Snap ties.

I went to couple big construction company and ask them if they wanted to sponsor me and a lot of them not hiring apprentice. What can I do to get my first union job and I can finish my 4 year apprenticeship. Any tips on how to find a sponsor and how would I go out and ask. Should I start out finding smaller company’s.
