I wound up with the Neunaber. Its simply excellent at huge ambience, and also plays equally well underneath you too. Easily up there with Strymon sound quality, yet housed in a compact box. Chefs kiss.

Wow! I'm on the market for a good reverb and every single side-by-side I wished to hear is on this channel. Thanks!

Loving and owning both these pedals, I would say the only reason I use the immerse more than the big sky is, I get too distracted by all the options on the big sky. The immerse is simple. I can get exactly what I want for a take or jam in less than a minute. Whereas the big sky, I sometimes have my inspiration derailed while browsing through all the presets/options. I think both sound great but they kinda feel like comparing apples to oranges. One is a compact with instant access, the other is basically a full fledged studio rack verb in pedal form. Big/deep/complicated pedals in general seem to have that problem for me, where, it feels like I'd use them more if they were rack mount hardware sporting more control buttons and a bigger/better screen.

Neunaber is AWESOME for the price, but I always wanted the Big Sky. Don't regret my choice. Both are great tho.

11:54 says go for big sky as the shimmer of neunaber detects chord which are off. and big sky gets it right

Big sky's Shimmer sounds very digital and cheap. specially compared to the Neunaber. Neunaber beats Strymon at every algorithm. Also the Big sky gets in the way in the mix.

have you noticed that the neunaber is insanely quiet? Maybe theres just something wrong with mine but i can't get it to be louder

Both are great pedals for ambient kind of reverbs. Top of the stomp box right now on the market.
The immerse has more kinds of reverbs that u didn't showed here (sustain and echo) which are on of his best in my opinion
Anyway my various conclusions are :
Plate - goes to Immerese more deep and authentic top end algorithms type in my opinion
Spring - goes to Bigsky both of them not so realistic in my opinion when it comes to hear the "spring drips" compare to other springs emulations on the market (Catalinbread Topanga and Boss FRV1), but the Strymon were better
Hall - goes to Bigsky more low end on that one, but still gets the high end that has on the Immerse - good job of both.
Shimmer - Goes to Bigsky - more friendly pitch for my taste, and wider sound on low frequencies
Modulation - goes to immerse - for my taste i didn't liked the big sky at all when it comes to Strymon modulations - matter of taste, I prefer the immerse on that one, way more friendly and realistic.

Why so many people bother about the sample rate and the bit depth of these pedals? "I could probably hear the difference between 48 and 96KHz" and stuff like that which are crazy.. Go ask Vangelis about the sample rate and the bit depth of his reverbs when composing Blade Runner .. You lose the point guys

@@sunnyschramm9650 i am sure there are differences seeing as you can buy a cheap Shimmer as well as high end shimmers like these.

Great video, thank you! But I’m sorry but what is that dry signal…? It sounds dull and horrendous.. sounds almost like a DI/ bad cab sim with no preamp. I only comment cuz what ever amp/device you run a reverb into, will have an effect on the tone of the verb and since it sounds so artificial and dull, it’s probably coloring the effect a bit negatively..

I need an all-purpose reverb and I'm torn between the Neunaber Reverberator, EHX Oceans 11 and BigSky. What do you think? Neunaber seems to sound best, but I like the on-demand infinite trails feature of the EHX. Big Sky ia too big and expensive, but sounds great too.

I’ve got the Immerse but didn’t do right for me. In terms of Wet gain, it produces quite low and you would always need to pass noon in the Mix knob which I think is not right.

Bigsky sounds more round, more harmonics, would you agree? But it is very close, maybe also it feels having more depth. But hey, 300 euros versus 500 euros for the bigsky. How does immerse compare to strymon bluesky

      Big sky no doubt
I sadly bought neunaber i play it for 20 minut and i sold it
Brings your tone darker even when ypu cut tone off he still kill natural sound your guitar
      I regret a lot losing 299 euro

@@actdefensesystem14 I'd go for Neunaber. Completely disagree with this. Not only sounds the Bigsky very digital, its overall price never ever matches its quality. I personally dont get why anybody would ever buy any Strymon pedal. Horrible, just horrible and overexpensive.

Big sky much more natural reverb you can get those landscapes tones without giving the bad sound from neunaber

The big sky calculates 24 Bit 96 KHz! Neunaber Immerse calculates Bit? - KHz?
*The best results in tests are in the band context, then you can hear the difference which product wins! Played alone they all sound somehow useful!* Yes, it's not just about the 24-bit numbers and the KHz, that's right. The Neunaber MKII is very good! I use the Wet Reverb because it doesn't cover everything up in the band! But the Blue Sky is still great..
