Spread windmills, fusion reactors, and lowered overflow bars. It all makes sense when I think about it. Lowered bars ensure that you are spending all your resources as a team and not sitting on them. Spread windmill and fusion are cheap and don't violently explode giving your bases more resilience when they come under fire. It leaves plenty of resources for units.
BAR observing is a very unique beast in RTS gaming. I don't think that even in 8v8s I have seen many matches of other games where the observer doesn't even feel the need to comment on a player calling gg lmao
It was raised on official discord a couple times, and the official answer is: It's way way too low-poly. But epic Legion's scout Wheelie on the other hand...
I was dreaming of watching a battle of such a high lvl players. I guess you were right, sometimes not that high leve matches are more unexpected in strategically diverse in a way and xd
a little fun headsup. you can see that all players here have their sliders down. its a really interesting thing to have happen in 8v8 games. since its a thing you do when you are all in vc in tournaments :p
Do i understand correctly that this is primarily a tactic for when you have all front to share reclaim and not let one player be starved for resources, then overrun by enemy? Or would you do this in tournaments when you have backline as well? At the low OS im in even getting your direct front to feed metal for your T2 production makes such a difference.
@@DanielBlack888 thats a really good question. Let me try to explain it in as much depht as possible since its really not that simple. But this works under a few assumptions. 1. metal spend in units and eco is better then metal sitting in your bank doing nothing. 2. You can trust your teammates to know what they are doing. 3. you have good communication with your teammates. So basically this makes sure that you overflow metal to the team way sooner. which means all metal will be used quicker and more efficiently. A thing that happens in this game. specifically for example. is my position. I was in the corner. not able to scale my economy to a degree that I like. meanwhile in the south. the players have their energy slider before their conversion slider. which means I can use the energy they produce to make up for my economy being raided. If nescesary a few teammates would stop production. making them overflow metal and energy. then that production would prioritize overflowing into me since I didn't have enough metal to produce for myself. Its really just backing up your teammates to make sure we all cockroach as long as possible.
@@DanielBlack888 an even more obvious example of this is brights latest cast on failed negotiations. Where Xfactor was playing eco battery. basically making eco for the entire team and overflowing resources to us so we can focus on frontline and cheesing our plays.
thanks haha. I was actually winning most my engagements against hellhounds and pushing him back. but his allies kept raiding me. :s towards the end I also had a very similar eco as him. better even because my fusion was almost done!
@@angry_strawberry2733 It’s the small things that win games. You not completely losing was what won your team the game, as south completely won their lanes. Very well played. Any chance of seeing you on a pro team in a tournament someday? Would love to have seen you in the Omega series.
@DravenX37 chances now are pretty good since im talking to a few people who are also tournament level. Last 2 omega series I got swapped out last minute for chisato 😭 And another time i was in reserve when my team won and the devs didnt think I counted 😭😭
There's a lot of reasons but one of the biggest is that Bar doesn't have to use the same macros to que units, you simply select repeat and with one action your lab makes units forever
@@toddwholmes AI is pretty tough in BAR for new players. I'd be happy to spend some time to give you some tips if you want to have another try. Also lots of tutorial videos on youtube showing how to get better at the game. I have a few videos myself.
@@ElmerFuddBARWhen I first entered BAR a few months ago, I knew I would be of no fun for other players nor to myself in multiplayer, thus I first simply went and completed the all 20 Scenarios. 2 hardest ones took a day to solve each. Brights casting 4 best game of the year per year
Per trimester *
He's been watching too much Lowko, noticed some other quirks as well 😂
a month ;) and I'm here for it.
wrf?
Won’t complain 😂
Quite the lineup. The fast gameplay was interesting to see. Thanks for casting Bright and thanks Strawberry for submitting! Now I wanna play myself...
damm, when lowest player on team is 38 thats just insane
Fantastic match! So many new tactics employed and learned. Thank you!
I am not even a Christmas enthusiast, but all that little details they placed in the game, really nice! 🎄🎄

It would be very funny if the first video of the years was titled as the best of the year
Love watching such high skilled players duking it out.
19:05 fusion reactor coming up in the backline...gotta love it when your backline is in the middle of the map 😆

Incredible game. The extraordinary usage of fusion reactors is so interesting
New T3 Unit to add: The Epic Tick
EPIC TICK!
But to match: I also want an EPIC RASCAL!

I haven't noticed! Crazy indeed to see that in a 8v8
afaik most of these players were in vc also ;p

Greetings to everyone who plays this great game!
Strawberry held so well against two. If she had collapsed it would have been a lot closer. Not surprising she sent this one in.

@angry_strawberry2733 yeah he kept trickling units in which doesn't really win you matches.

how to download this replay?
it was in a private lobby so replays were not uploaded to the replay site. only way to get it is to contact one of the players to request the file.

Commander Corpses are made out of cookie man??
That is why we eat them!
For Christmas the commander wreck model is a gingerbread man.
More Brightworks :D
I'm surprised no one really mained air. Curious as to why neither side opted for it.
Because high skill players are most dangerous on the ground.
this game was an early Christmas present xD
Isbad is psychic
why the apm Is so low in comparaison of other games... like sc2, aoe2 / 4 ...

How the F^%$# do they do that. I have tried to play this game and get wrecked by easy AI.
