- This is KT Tunstall covering the Bob Dylan tune "Tangled Up In Blue" on "Later With Jools Holland". It takes a great singer to really do justice to Dylan, yet KT goes well beyond that and makes this her own. She's just that good live.
I work nights in a television studio and used to come home in the morning to find absolutely nothing interesting to watch on television. The last thing I wanted to see was more commercials. And I'm not really interested in watching talk shows and soap operas.
Then I discovered the commercial free music channel RAVE. HD quality video and pretty much perfect 5.1 sound. A few times a week they run "Later With Jools Holland" in the morning. Jools has great taste in music and each show runs the gamut from pop, rock, folk, Celtic, African, to Joanna Newsome. Something for everyone. Suffice to say I love this show.

Dylan fan since 1964. Tunstall fan too - she is a breath of fresh air and such a talent. Raw and unrefined voice - dylanesque - perefct rendition. Can't wait to see her in March

You can tell by the look on her face how much she enjoys singing this song. The flow of these lyrics must be a delight to sing. Beautiful rendition of a song that could stand a few more cover versions.
KT has covered many Dylan songs and you are correct, you can see how she enjoys singing them. In this cover, she puts her own twist on the song which is very good.

HiHo44, absolutely. Think of All Along the Watchtower without Hendrix and Dave Matthews as just one example of reinterpretations. Hendrix is classic, and I think it is the best song Mathews has done.

What a tough song to do , It is very verbose for one thing,. KT Tunstall does a perfect job and BTW, I like her version much better than DYlan's. She not only sings it very well and has a great band but I can actually understand the words.

@mrLucio100 I totally disagree and feel you are being very closed minded. Great songs are meant to be reinterpreted by other artists. Especially Dylan songs. It gives them new life and keeps them fresh. Songs are not buildings and never will be.
@Tiaspeedy Owned it figuratively, not literally. I mean she managed to do more than just try and copy Dylan, but rather brought some of her own vibe to make something different, maybe even bigger, than the original had been.
