i'm not even into this kind of music, but oh god, THIS is a live performer, the whole show is exclusively on her back and she carries it like it's NOTHING, recording loops, chatting, calling people to sing along... i love this woman, we need more people like this in the world

I kinda feel like in the states people would have just talked over her. I think these people were trying to listen.
That has to be the best live performance of that song I’ve seen and this crowd didn’t deserve it.
And yet she tried hard to engage them ....
Watching this I remember buying tickets to see The Nolans for a British family I was friends with. Hammersmith Odeon, a large old style theater. The girls are up there singing their best and the crowd politely applauded from their seats. First, I stood up and made my friends stand up also. Singing along, clapping, and of course the people behind us had to stand as well to see. I led the family down the aisle, up to the front and into the orchestra pit. And the Nolans are laughing and pointing to us. It took a while, but people joined us and we had great fun for the last half of the show.
Close to the end Bernie pointed to me and said, "Could you follow us the rest of the tour? We'd find tickets for you." I smiled back and blew her a kiss which she returned.
I mean, K.T. didn't sing a song. She put on a great show, and the crowd were like the one back in 1982.

What an absolute pro performer. She worked her ass off to get that sleepy audience to give her all of whatever energy they could muster. Her enthusiasm was infectious and bulletproof.
She used to do open mic nights as a teenager in some bars in my village in Scotland. Who knew when we were sitting drinking pints we were being entertained by a future superstar.
Now THAT's talent. No need for autotune, unlike some "artists" that are around. And she can sing, play, and manage the loop pedals all at the same time.
Ed Sheeran gets credit for this type of performance and fills stadiums around the world and breaks records . This woman was doin it years before and writes better songs and can sing better. Fuckin brilliant and an underrated live artist.

I love seeing these live performances, so raw and unfiltered. It must be hard for an artist doing a live performance and not getting much of anything back from the audience. Some of these audience members seem to be there against their will? WTF?

There are just so many "juicy bits" to the melody of this song - it's intoxicating to sing. It's spiritual, uplifting and transcendental - and that's just the music, not the lyrics. Amazing...
Hear this song and the Horse one so many times, never realised they were all done in a single take with loops and she could do them just the same live. Genius.
I was perhaps 12-13 when the song had come out, and I had loved it. I went on to play guitar, sing a bit and headline a couple of bands. If you are a decent singer, you'll not sing off-key. But it is a whole another beast to get the timing right. Now add to that when you are playing a guitar, and then remove the band, and yet make it sound as good as the record. Respect to KT for being so hardworking that she nailed the song so effortlessly. Ofcourse the song is a favorite of mine. Thanks for inspiring. Wish her all good luck, health and success.

It has been a hell of a long time since I have seen her play live but she is such an exceptional musician. Not one ounce of pretentiousness about her and she knows how to work a crowd for sure. Who could resist when one woman was responsible for creating a live, layered performance.
Of course she's not pretentious. She's Scottish! They are the least pretentious people along with Aussies. They will drag you back down to reality if you get too big for your boots. But yeah, amazing musician whatever she does
