On 11/17/2022 I received my CMP 1911 sales Round 3. M1911A1 Service Grade pistol. A 1943 Remington Rand frame and a "GI Rep" slide. Initially, I was a little put off about the "late" model slide until I researched it. It turns out to be a Colt National Match grade slide. That certainly altered my opinion of my "bucket - O -parts" 1911. Additionally, it is UNIQUELY ABSENT of arsenal marks. So, it hasn't been recycled numerous times. The last time was probably mid 80's as it has a ".45 AUTO '85" barrel with a "TZ" stamp on the hinge - TZ being Israeli parts. All roll marks and inspection initials are legible. Considering the AGE of the parts and the volume of weapons the CMP is working through I am excited to have this. The "box" it arrived in is of the same quality as shown here. The change is, his has a color logo, mine has the logo molded into the top.
