Ross Lyon is an assistant coach!! He is a great defence coach not a head coach.
He’s taken 2 different clubs to 3 grand finals. And he lost to 2 dynasty teams in Hawthorn and Geelong and drew against Collingwood who went on in 2011 to have one of the all time best individual seasons despite losing the GF that year. St. Kilda’s current list is just average.

I don't know why everyone wants excuses as to why Saints are not as good as some other sides in the comp. The reason is simple, some teams are just not as good as others!
This is unfortunately a dumb comment.
Saints are dour and not looking great.
But honestly is there a better example of using the fact that St Kilda made finals last year as the stick to beat them with, to show how the media operates.
No one had St Kilda finishing in the top eight last season or even the top 12 and now it's somehow expected. The reality is they have a bottom four list and Ross is not going great but I think the Saints have a lot more worries than the coach.
mate your so delusional in the last 4 years Saint Kilda has had two finals appearances and won a final under Brett Ratten! and at worse finished a game out of finals under 2 completely different coaches. nicely summed up. Last year was an aberration for us unfortunately it made us hang onto a few we shouldn't have. I think 6th worst list is a little fairer tho.
