-10% general cost from aristocratic -10% from nobility in officer corps -10% leader cost from nobles of the robe reform -20% from devine ideas -50% army professionalism -10% max from innovativeness -10% golden era -33% from Afghanistan ideas -10% reform for tribal government -10% privilege for tribal estate -10% max from Japan monument -10% timurids mission for nobility privilege boost A lot of sources for general and leader cost, most of them not easily obtained together unless playing as a horde but atleast -50% can be achieved every game with the remaining -50% coming from professionalism later. In a lot of games I play I’ve found that you tend to accidentally be stuck at 100 army tradition with no decay
Ayyubs > Timurids > Persia (Zoroastrian) was one of the most fun runs I ever did… great cav modifier stacking… fun fact there’s an Ayyubid mission that fixes your ruler title to Caliph even if you convert to another religion so I had a Zoroastrian Caliph, as nature intended
Chuck in Mamluks/Egypt as well. One of the missions triples your manpower pool when at war with heretics and heathens, essentially a 300% manpower modifier. And the Egyptian government mechanic gives you 20% gov cap, +1AT, 20% goods produced and grants you western units. You keep these effects even if your T1 reform is changed.
in my experience with the ottos specifically the AI is hard scripted to be super aggressive and disregards trust if you take provinces in the levant, i think in this run the ottos never took Karaman so they never got the claims on the levant and couldnt aggro snowball
not for claims, they are always hard wired to go turbo. This isnt just Ottos - i had a few games as Trebizond and Georgia and once Muscovy gets their Steppe claims it hates you no matter what, even with 100 trust and same dynasty

Best way to get Army Tradition in EU4 is to let me lead them in battle. (We all die)
My generals when playing as Jadd in anbennar:
i think if your trust is high enough, ai downgrades their desire for provinves that you own?
