- Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present a Fender Jazzmaster from 1962. More infos about the guitar at: www.vintage-guitar.de/detailsv...
The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper. A Line 6 DL-4 was used for additional loops. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray. The Greer Amps Lightspeed was used as a booster, a Boss PS-6 for chorus-sounds and a Lehle 1023 as Volume Pedal.

I was born that year. What a guitar, that would truly be a treat to own & play
All of Tobias' playing is worthy of these beautiful, mostly vintage guitars -- it often far surpasses the quality and reputation of these famous brands/models. This progression is wonderful and, as always, the master's tones and use of the vibrato are inspiring.
Lovely playing. Great sound. Thank you!
I wonder how many viewers like me have bought a Jazzmaster after seeing some of Tobias’s performances?
Guilty🙋♂️
I’m now the owner of an MIJ Jazzmaster thanks to this man. Beautiful instrument.
Well, that tone was perfect
What a gem of a channel this is! You're such an amazing player, Tobias!
Jazzmasters are Leo's best statement to what a versatile electric guitar should be. I adore mine. Once again, nicely done Tobias...
Perfect! This was played by a master! The Jazzmaster is a fabulous guitar
Thanks for that Tobias
Is anyone else jamming on this progression? I have questions:
I hear this as a IV-bVI-I-II7 in D; do you agree?
When the two ‘out of key’ chords occur (bVI and II7), what is he typically playing for the melodies? Seems to be more than just those chord tones, but I’m not really sure how to alter the D major scale to accommodate those chords, or if this is even the right way of thinking.
Really good sounding progression - I just can’t quite get my head around how to improvise over it.
Incrível Tobias Hoffmann 🤩🎸🎵🔊💗
Spectacular! ❤
Thank you
You can buy the guitar but you can’t buy the Master’s touch.
What kind of a sick bastard tried turning this poor guitar into a 12 string???
😂😂
I only heard that about dutch Indonesian rock and roll bands that played a lot in Germany during the sixties.
Trying to picture what purpose those holes in the headstock served, not coming up with a reasonable explanation, lol!
A 12-string conversion.
@@thumbpickfingers That’d be some weird string angles, but maybe.
@@mooseymoose It failed. There are only holes for 11 tuners anyway.
