I trust your video review more than I would by some random jerk on Amazon reviews reducing the stars because the box was dented upon arrival and other irrelevant B S that has nothing to do with the actual product and how to use it. Thank you. I’m sold on this spreader.
I bought this spreader off of amazon after seeing the LCN use it all the time on his channel. All I can say is this spreader is fantastic. My front and back lawn are below 2000 Sqft so I am able to fit a full apps worth of product (milo) easily. It throws out with an even spread throughout and the edge guard works well too. Well worth the money. I also have a Scott’s mini edge guard spreader that I’ll use for small apps like using Scott’s disease EX.
I'm with Scott... Being 6'2", that short handle would drive me nuts. Is have to take it in and do some mods lol. Great review... PS was that a pizza delivery I saw at the 5:19 mark? Lol
Anyone have issue with this spreader throwing heavily on left side? I see no fix for this and many people have been posting the same issue in lawncare forum
I just got one myself. I just did some calibration on my driveway with some old grass seed and I like the spray pattern .and the side feathering feature. I wish the handle was taller but with a 5000 sq. ft. yard this is not a real issue. I too was tired of fighting with my Scotts! Thanks for the great ideo.
Timely as I have been looking for a new higher quality spreader. You are definitely right about Scotts being junk. I think they could get you through a rough patch but they are not meant to be used multiple times per season for years. Their drop spreader is truly awful.
I don’t think you need to advertise this isn’t a sponsored video when all logos have been covered with lawn stickers. 😂 Looks like a decent spreader for the price. Might be an option to replace my Scott’s Edge Guard.
Boggles the mind to understand why Earthway hasn't fixed the handle length issue, not like it's rocket science to add some tubing length or even better make it adjustable. Can't really find a good prosumer spreader in the
You'll have to calibrate most spreaders to your material size and weight, walking speed and environmental conditions when in use. Direct conversions and even those cited BY Scott's are a meant as a general use starting point.
It is an accessory on other Earthways, maybe this one also. The options are a rain cover, screen for keeping out lumps, like when your using salt and the remote for the side spread.
I'm in between this EARTHWAY 2600APlus model and the Brinly-Hardy 50 lb. Capacity Push Broadcast Spreader. Anyone have some thoughts on which to go with?
Question.....Is anyone else having trouble with the chute going closed on its own as you push it along. Seems any bumps in the yard will jostle the unit enough to cause the chute to work its way closed. My controls work very smoothly and I have it assembled correctly according to the manual and the videos Ive watched. Not missing any parts either. So if anyone else is having to hold the control rod open with their left hand as they push it along, please let me know if, and how you solved the problem of the chute vibrating closed. Would greatly appreciate your advice.
Is it supposed to throw fert at your feet? Mine seems to be throwing it backwards. And yes I have the arrow on the gear box pointed to the front (white label side)

+Sandman's Dreamland yes it was! Damn good pizza too!
I'm assuming you will have to calibrate it because if I use the setting on the bag like stress blend it only throws heavy to the left

Is that a rusty bolt on the left side around 3 minutes in?

I have a Spyker now, and it’s amazeballs
If you use Scott’s fert, how do you know what setting to put the Earthway on? Is there a conversion or chart somewhere?

Don’t underrate a why they didn’t just put the edge function at the regular handle control, still want one though.

Have you tried using it to top dress with sand or soil? If yes, how did you find it?
I did a sand application with it, and it works great as long as the sand is dry.
