This game looks amazing, I'm so late to appreciating it but just wow. The environment looks amazing and trying to piece the story all together is fun. So glad I watched this!

Yea, the FOV doesn't feel as rough after a bit and if I sit farther back from my laptop. Lucky me I don't have camera focus to worry about haha.
If you understand Chinese, you can understand why the signs should be placed like this. The first three signs are combined to ‘開’, English is open, and the last is ‘門’, which means door in English.
Binge watching this series because of the new episode. Love these!

Either are much less scarier if you explore them after you knocked it down with a few good swings from a wrecking ball crane
the FOV is just because the character has thick bifocals on xD his vision is bad as evidenced when hiding under the table he presses his eyeballs to the floor forgets where he is and then quickly whips his head around to really reestablish his geo-location like a vole and also burns the images into his retinas, walking around the house with his face touching every object

The final puzzle is a bit complicated. I understand the strategy. The first one is today’s password on the left and yesterday’s password is on the right. The order of the second picture is counted from the top right, first from top to bottom, and then from right to left. So the circled word is ranked third. The third picture is counted from the bottom left, from bottom to top, and then from right to left. So the circled is ranked third. Use the second picture to find the four words on the left of the first picture. Then find the corresponding pattern in the third picture.
Anyway, still i dont understand that puzzle

Such a good game. I own and have played this one, but I like your playthrough (I've watched before). I'm glad I don't have issues with FOV or headbob in games.. it seems awful to feel sick while trying to have fun.. Luckily most games these days let those who cannot play that way adjust it.

Can someone explain the backstory of this first chapter for me? Maybe I’m just missing something but I’m not really understanding anything more then that this man is looking for his daughter after an accident and that these evil paper dolls are coming after him and I’m not sure why or what the story of the house he’s in is
1) One of three soul pieces of the mistress reincarnated to the main character in this game(the other two pieces were the shadows defeated in chap 2). The daughter was a reincarnation of the painter (Zhao junior). His father used sth passed from ancestors to win a war, which turned all soldiers into demons/zombies, only using his heart can stop it. While turning to a Zombie himself, Zhao wrote a letter asking Master Yin for help, and sent his only son away. Master Yin arrived and did as the letter told, carved Zhao’s heart out and killed all zombie soldiers and villagers. Zhao junior hid somewhere and saw it all, so he swear to avenge his dad. After he grew up, he became painter Zhao.
2) It was mistress Yin’s birthday, so master Yin held a great celebration for her. Months before her birthday, Yin invited a group of young actors and a painter to cheer his lady up. The painter was Zhao. He was asked to draw a picture for mistress Yin. The mistress was found pregnant after the visitors arrived, she was overjoyed since she always wanted a baby. Mr. Liu visited the Yins to stay for the mistress birthday. He was a man love to explore affairs and rumours. Zhao spreader the rumour out that he has an affair with the mistress, so nanny Chen thought baby Yin is Zhao’s son. Nanny Chen brought master Yin up and saw him as her own son. She hated the mistress deeply, so one day she added a lot more cinnabar in the mistress’s medicine. Mistress’s maid Ding Xiang witnessed that, but Chen scolded her away, and told her the added ingredient was for the good of the mistress. After drinking that, the mistress coughed up blood and miscarried.
3) After the miscarriage, the mistress drowned in her sorrow. Zhao told her that an old saying is that by obeying the law of nature, she can gather up world’s five elements to bring her child back. He painted five flowers, and told the mistress to make five sachets according to those. She was desperate to get her son back, so she did that, and gave the sachets to the five young actors, whose birth months are fire, water, wood, metal, earth months. Mistress Yin asked Zhao to lure them out and kill them one by one. Zhen Zhu hid in a closet, but she was found by the master, who dragged her out. After that she was murdered and her head was taken. At the same time, rumours spread among the servants(nanny, maid, manservant Ming, house keeper, Mr. Liu, weapon keeper Wang Yong...) that the mistress has an affair with Zhao, and the baby was Zhao’s. When the miscarriage happened, the master ordered to save the mistress first, so she survived and the baby died. Of course Zhao later mentioned this to the mistress(in more twisted version), which made her hate the master to the bone. The last actor (He Huan) escaped, and he was born in the fire month. The mistress died in sorrow and delusions. Ding Xiang was the mistress’s maid, who grew up with her. Nanny Chen hated Ding Xiang as well, because she was beautiful and arrogant. Chen thought maybe the maid was dreaming to marry the master one day. Zhao told Ding Xiang a way to bring her back, which brought back the mistress’s evil spirit. She carved the masters heart out, and used all the body parts she collected to make a human (her son). When it was done, it was the dark shadowy creature. She went mad completely. During that process, the house keeper and Wang Yong locked up Zhao, and nanny Chen kill Ding Xiang(because she was worried she’d report she poisoned the mistress to the master, and she hated the maid all along) and made the crime scene looked like Ding Xiang loved and loyal to her mistress too much and hung herself to keep serving her in death. The evil spirit of Mrs. Yin killed everyone in the first floor, and there souls were trapped in this mansion forever.
4) Before Zhao was locked up, he found the letter his father sent to Mr. Yin, and realised he made a huge mistake. His reincarnation was the daughter, who made the car accident, and brought the main character to the Yin mansion to free all trapped souls. When the five actors’ body parts were returned, the shadowy creature disappeared. When everyone is freed, the soul of the painter was also gone, so was the “daughter”.

Man, I'm a big fan of GOOD English dubs and, uh, this ain't it chief! The voice acting takes this game from spooky to kind-of Evil Dead campy. I keep expecting Ted Raimi in makeup as an old woman to pop up!
