Joy, you are so inspiring! I love how real and transparent you are. Its like you are saying its ok to make mistakes. Because I do and feel bad about it. Thanks for being you!! Never change:)
Your top looks great on you and your short set turned out really cute. Just enjoy life and stop apologizing for stuff or worrying about the move. Enjoy having two houses again for a bit. Have fun on your trip.
I love Shirley Temple! My friend has the same doll. Someone gave it to her. It was in poor condition so she had me give her a makeover including making her new clothes. She wanted to give her to me because I mentioned I always wanted one but I said no. Then I found one at a vintage place. She’s still waiting for her makeover lol
I totally love the short and top outfit it looks great on you and so comfortable and the shorts are perfect height not too long and not too short❣️🪡🧵✂️💓💖💗💕❤️
What a perfect shorts set for the summer heat, Joy! I do love petal sleeves, and the blouse. 😊 You inspired me a while back to purchase the Sure Fit system for dresses/tops. Thank you! 😘
I like the roses top a lot, my favourite print too, but the sleeves are too far away from your arms. I think they either should be narrower, the fabric is not drapy enough or it would look better with regular short sleeves. You could keep the pleat shut with a clasp, or a fabric rose. Hello, dearest Joy! I actually love love love the pleated top with the tulip sleeves. It looks expensive! The colors are gorgeous on you. And, hey, if the pleat keeps opening, at least you know it's a pleat. Embrace it. I love it. ❤
Joy, welcome back, missed you and your humor. The blouse with the petal sleeves and the pleat, can you sew the pleat down which would eliminate you having to mess with it? Just a thought. :) Love it, very cute and it looks great on you.
Wow, the white with flowers blouse is perfect on you! Missed you and you know viewers ‘worry’. You have your share of tasks! Now I’ll be quiet and watch….
The rose blouse is beautiful. I think 3 buttons looked good because it was about the same length as the collar. You could lightly stitch down the pleat. The collar and the sleeves make it look very unique.
Hello Joy. I have a granddaughter with red hair and green eyes. Her name is Alisiah. I think your doll would like that name. My mom collected dolls. She had 350 when she passed. I got most of them. They were in their original boxes and in a room that got4 water damage. We didn’t think the dolls were wet but they were and most were ruined. I do have a few. I just love your petal sleeve blouse. We are a lot alike in taste and belief and more. Good hearing you again. Love, Liz
Red hair - Maureen O'Hara :-))). The first top is pretty. The shorts set looks great. The Rose blouse needs to be tacked down somehow. 2 buttons looks less crowded. That blouse is very nice. I like the sleeves & the Steam a Seam idea. Brilliant 👏
Good to see you back. I love the blue outfit and the blouse turned out so pretty. I am watching this video with my left eye closed quite a bit. I got the cataract removed this morning and it’s a bit irritated. Everything is so beautiful outside so vivid and bright. God’s handiwork is beyond awesome! I got right one done a couple of weeks ago. Missed sewing today but eye blurry & uncomfortable today. I think you should call your doll Emerald because of her green eyes.
Hi Joy, I so enjoy your energy! On your blouse with the pleat, could you sew down the pleat until just below your bust? Thanks for sharing your adventures .

Oh, I really love your aqua shorts outfit! Aqua looks very becoming on you, too!😍 I was missing your videos, but I understand that life gets busy! Busy out here, too!
I have made the New Look tumic , long sleeve with one slanted sode hem several times. It first came out as a pattern with jut the one sude slant..i love it..i have made it several times out of light swater weight fabric and i live them. I bet i made them 7 or 8 years ago..i have plenty of clothes so nothing gets worn too often .. both tunics still loom brand new and i get lots of compliments.
Hello Joy! I was just telling my husband that I hadn't heard from you in a while (you are the only person I listen to that he likes to hear). I'm glad to hear that you are both well. ( if I had that dolly, I would name her Molly)
I am surprised you didn't throw all of the markers away from the process. ☺
Joy, you are so inspiring! I love how real and transparent you are. Its like you are saying its ok to make mistakes. Because I do and feel bad about it. Thanks for being you!! Never change:)

The doll looks like a "Gretchen" to me. Very cute.
I think 2 buttons looks nice ☺Tac it down, so you don't have to hold it ☺
I love the sleeves. I would sew down the pleat too.
Marble ones- cute!
My favorite redhead is Anne…Anne of Green Gables. So that’s my suggestion for that beautiful doll.
I love the sleeves. That is a beautiful top. Floral fabric is so nice. It looks great on you.

Dana like Dana Scully from the X-Files

Joy, could you do me a favor? Could you please bottle up some of your energy and mail it to me,, I sure could use it!
I don't know where my energy comes from, but I'm sure glad I have it most of the time. Sometimes, it keeps me awake too long at night.

It looks great.
Top stitch the pleat from below the buttons down to your waist. That should help. I like the sleeves. Take care.
I think Ruby Red for the doll
I like the top and shorts in blue! I like the sewing machine on your shirt!
Barbara popped in my mind(?)!
She's mini Joy

The blouse that you drew the pattern for is very pretty. And it looks really good on you. I like the 2 button look.
The rose blouse is beautiful. I think 3 buttons looked good because it was about the same length as the collar. You could lightly stitch down the pleat. The collar and the sleeves make it look very unique.
With that flaming hair it’s made me think of Aurora for your darling doll
Joy it is wonderful to see you. Thrilled that you and Jerry are well. Love, love the new top with the adorable sleeves. I admire your talent.

Cute blouse on you. Love the snippets
Trinity!!
Cute doll! How about Amelia or Emily or Emma for a name? Your short outfit is very nice. Love the embroidery❤️
Very pretty aqua top and shorts, cool and easy.
Love your blouse, especially the petal sleeves. You have nice arms!
I think Abigail for the third doll is a pretty name.
Love the shorts - you've inspired me to buy a shorts pattern and give it a go. Love the tulip sleeves too, cute 🥰
Nice to see you, Joy. That first floral top looks good on you. Your doll looks Irish. Maybe Bridget for a name?
Comment #2. Thank you for the list of sewist that teach about pattern making and sewing.
I would like to make it with a white collar. Blouse is adorable. I'd tack the pleat down if it's doesn't behave.
Lucy… because of the red hair❤
so glad you are keeping the RV! Always a joy to see you 😄 sending love to Jerry, too!
Ginger would be a great name for your beautiful doll
Like that sleeve!!
The sleeves are super nice! I suggest Brass buttons on that top. The colors are kind of muted and the bright will resolve that.
Your dolll reminds me of Aunt Ruby. Red hair. And green eyes. Good. To see you back.
Hi Joy, I'm late to this video -- super cute shorts set. I have that new look pattern - I'll have to pull it out.
