Look at you old school and still humming right along. Bravo Joy. Can't wait for your next video. Hope part arrives and work done and your home in a very short time. Keep smiling that beautiful smile. And safe travels home guys.
Thank you for the visual on the P&P demo. It's always nice to see you demo something either on sewing, quilting, or fitting issues. You do not disappoint! Thank you!
I was expecting you to say.. Jerry, we have to go to Walmart so I can buy a sewing machine! 😂 I always learn something from you, Joy. Ty. I hope your visit there was brief and you both are on your way home... where the sewing machines are. Might be time to stow away a sewing machine and serger just for the rv now that you're keeping it. A mobile sewing room. Love it!
Lesson I learned to never make a decision to sell something when we don't know what is wrong with us. So much stress on your life with packing, unpacking, moving to one house and back again and back to the new house. I hope moving stops till you can figure out what to do. Love your videos! Be safe and well!!
Always enjoy watching you fit the pattern. Such an important step. Makes the finished garment look so much better. I learned that same fitting method from my mom.
my husband loves to see you. I have UA-cam on the TV. He says I like Joy. I love to see you too. And I always learn new things. Thank you Joy. I both 16 patterns from Hobby Lobby.
I bought 11 patterns. If I get another 15 minutes today, I'll show the rest of them. I actually just went through every pattern in the two drawers. Most were already gone.
Have to hand it to you, I learned a lot with your minimal supplies! You're a great teacher...I go to my local sewing store on " Finish It" Fridays and the amount of supplies I bring is ridiculous!
I am so anxious to see you demonstrate the FBA on this yoked blouse. I have this pattern and can’t wait to make it but need an FBA. Thanks so much for your willingness to teach us.
Hi Joy!! So glad to see you again! I love seeing your beautiful smiling face and happy personality! I really needed these last two videos you put out because I desperately needed a “pick me up”! I fell off of a ladder 3 weeks ago and broke my foot badly in two places! OUCH!!!😫 I had surgery a week ago and it’s been a very rough three weeks! The surgeon had to put in two plates and pins and screws in my foot! I have my first Post-Op appointment tomorrow (Tuesday). Praying everything goes well🙏🏻 I would certainly love and appreciate healing prayers from you and Jerry❤️ I’ll keep you posted. Hope you’re having a great week!! Xoxoxo
My goodness! How awful. I'm so sorry. Of course, we will pray for a quick and complete healing of your foot. Ladders scare me. I always want to run and hold the ladder if I see Jerry on one.
Again your patience and understanding are astounding…and I’m only a few mins into your video! You can make applesauce out of crabapples! Lucky Jerry! And vice versa, of course!
I definitely see that with that pattern I've had that happen with a few patterns then I just adjust it to my measurement because I agree with you we are not the same as the pattern
Joy, you need a Feather weight machine. Weighs 11 pounds, can transport anywhere. Tiny, sweet, and sews so perfect! I have my Grandma’s Feather weight and I prefer to sew on it over my modern machine. Hope you get the warranty work fixed!
Thank you for this awesome explanation - I've never tried the P & P method of measuring a pattern but your instructions are so easy to understand. Thank you!
I can sooo relate to your situation and the parts issue. Lol, I wish we were neighbors. You have a wealth of knowledge for our age's fit issues. When you said "Kingston", I thought "she's just down the road", but there are many Kingstons in the USA. Mine is in Missouri, not Oklahoma. But geesh, good luck and I can't wait to see the finished project.
That's crazy how many days you have to hang around the RV Center. What if you weren't retired??? I like the patterns you got at Hobby Lobby. Looking forward to seeing the finished top with square yoke.
LOL Jane. Jerry just said yesterday, "How could anyone have an RV if they aren't retired?" This is warranty work, and everything moves so slowly when this place cannot fix anything without warranty approval. This is Friday at 11 AM The overnight parts should be here by now. Jerry is up at the office trying to find out.
Thanks so much for your videos! I have tried P&P method many times but I have since moved on to Nancy Zeiman's pivot and slide method-I get a better fit that way.
I made that pattern sleeveless into a flannel nightgown. Added a ruffle to the bottom. Its become my "block" for easy jammies. Next time, hope you bring your machine and an emergency project or two. 🌻🍄 Edit - oh my! I added much fabic to make it nightgown length, don't want anyone thinking I'm being scandalous 😂
Joy i just love your cute tops. However when you held the size 14 paper pattern up, it looks like after you sew in the seam allowance, you actually could use a size 12. The neck line looks like it may be gappy. You know best though. Your tops fit you perfectly and look so nice.
Love the Palmer & Plesch. I won a book a few years back from Joy on this method and it has been such a big help. I do need help doing the back of things though due to a hand & arm injury several years back. I’m trying now to make a muslin for some trouser pants. I got the front looking great & crotch is so comfortable. However just to much pain trying to do back on my own. In the meantime I got a dress that needs a bit more work on it.
About your RV...I've been watching videos on the trials and tribulations of owning an RV. The companies are awful with fixing and/or warranty promises. I think you're brave to even keep it. Anyway, hope you get home soon.
Hi Joy, I was watching an older video about pant making, video titled “Sew Along Pants with Surefit” dated Jan 15, 2020. In that video you wore a beautiful blue print V-Neck blouse with a large collar. Would you remember if that was a Surefit design you did? Or a pattern company? Thanks.
Not just the RV. Jerry's dozer needs something fixed. Our pond dam seems to have a leak. Jerry's boat needs repair for damage from a washed out road. Can't seem to find a reliable lawncare company for Kingston. When you own things, they will eventually require repairs. The jeep decides to stall now and then, but just stop and not do it for a long time. Then, of course, there is the aging body situation. LOL. Compared to the other RV owners here in Dallas for repairs on their RV's, our repairs are very minor.
Look at you old school and still humming right along. Bravo Joy. Can't wait for your next video. Hope part arrives and work done and your home in a very short time. Keep smiling that beautiful smile. And safe travels home guys.

So excited when you popped up on my feed.
Always enjoy watching you fit the pattern. Such an important step. Makes the finished garment look so much better. I learned that same fitting method from my mom.
You’re looking beautiful Joy! Hate y’all have to be there for days! Take care and God bless y’all! 😀❤️
How sweet of you to say that Wanda. Thank you.
Thank you for the video. It’s always nice to hear from you no matter how short. Blessings to you & Jerry!!!
Your content deeply resonates with viewers! - "Self-belief ignites the spark within..."
Thanks for the video! I always enjoy your fitting videos, I always learn from you. Happy sewing!
Thanks for checking in and letting us know you are safe.
Love your lighter color hair! Its lovely on you!!

Love your hair color. ❤

I'm so sorry that you had so many issues with your rv. they should never have that many issues.
I love your explanations Joy.
I am so anxious to see you demonstrate the FBA on this yoked blouse. I have this pattern and can’t wait to make it but need an FBA. Thanks so much for your willingness to teach us.
Good luck with your RV getting what it needs. Great video Joy as usual. Thank you.

Thank you so much Joy! Yes after this fall I am now scared of ladders as well!
I have that pattern. I hope that you continue making it on video.
Joy, you need a Feather weight machine. Weighs 11 pounds, can transport anywhere. Tiny, sweet, and sews so perfect! I have my Grandma’s Feather weight and I prefer to sew on it over my modern machine. Hope you get the warranty work fixed!
I got some of those 99-cent patterns from The Hobby Lobby too
Oh my!!! The RV thing is a problem, hope you get home soon. Your explanation of how to fit the pattern is so good!
Love the side styling on the white top.
Thank you for this awesome explanation - I've never tried the P & P method of measuring a pattern but your instructions are so easy to understand. Thank you!

Joy, I know someone who swallowed 3 pins.
Thanks for the Palmer and Plesche demonstration. :)
Thank you for explaining the pattern fitting. I was confused on how it was supposed to fit with minimal pattern piece’s
You are such a Joy to watch! God bless you both!
I totally agree with you.

Thank u for the fitting lesson. Looking forward to the next one. My main reaon i dont sew for myself very often. I cant get the patterns to fit

I love that top pattern!!

I just ordered the Palmer and Pletsch book. So, an interesting video for me, thank you

Yes. Usually a 12. The shoulder width was right in this 14.

I wore a collar!!!?
@@Joy4650B yes, and it was very flattering and wide
Hey Joy 😊
I thought u sold the rv
😊
Are you guys in Tx?
Yes, we are in Dallas.
Lol! Get rid of the RV Joy! Way to much maintenance.......all the time. In the meantime......keep sewing!
It certainly seems that the coach is one problem after another. :(
