Has Pearsall ever had the chance to play with an actual elite QB? Purdy might make Kyle and John look like a genius with this pick.
Yeah, exactly, a lot of his throws were behind him and gave him no ability to run after the catch. Imagine party putting it on the spot and letting him do his thing. It’s gonna be fun to watch. He is now the 49ers fastest receiver.

The best part about Purdy is his anticipation that’s what makes him so deadly when you pair him with a devastating route runner like Aiyuk or now Pearsall. So in short you said it great this is an awesome combo can’t wait to see how his career goes!
@@Wizez they even said in his draft thing that that’s actually what makes him worse is cause he can’t connect with the QB sometimes due to the QB not knowing where he will be cause of how he does his route moves. Not saying that will happen but does no one read these analysis’s? Now with time and being on the same page that can change but purdy connects well with people when he knows tried and true where they will run. Pearsall the way he runs he puts people on skates by his body looking like he’s shifting a whole different direction. Who’s to say Purdy reads that as him going left but he goes right? Food for thought.

He has almost identical combine stats as OBJ, and much stronger at bench press with 17 reps, compared to OBJ 7 reps. Same quickness, agility and hands as OBJ when he started with NY Giants.
He’s going to be a great slot immediately for SF . I get everyone wanted offensive line but if Kyle didn’t think any of those rookies could start this year. He won’t start them. So why not use a pick on a player he thinks can contribute for a Super Bowl push.

I like this pick, so much, I watched his video and it felt like at times he was the only option available, what happens when he is free to be without the weight of the whole team resting on him . Man !!! This was a great pickup and I love how he offered versatility as a return man I think that’s going to be huge. Plus his route running is reminiscent of Aiyuk in how polished his routes are. I think SF got another major weapon. Hopefully they get a deal with Aiyuk done then I really don’t know how you stop SF offense. This is just my initial take though and I’ll definitely dive into each one of these picks!

Perfect take on an elite talent. Piersall was big news here in Phoenix in high school. Lost track of him at Fla but it looks like his routes kept getting better. He could be a great complement to BA, better tan with Deebo I’d think

This also flexibility down the line. But I think SF didn’t see any o lineman that were clear upgrades. So they probably went BPA with ability to have an immediate impact.

I’m excited but also hoped for oline but still have a few days to address this area. Furthermore, they probably have a better understanding of current prospects and team needs. So if they thought no one was sure win over their players go get BPA or someone that will contribute to their teams success.

Aiyuk’s contract negotiations aren’t going sideways. Every contract extension the 49ers have done go all the way into training camp. This is how it’s been for Kittle, Warner, Deebo, and Bosa.

Dont be, there was no one we needed that wont be available in the later rds. They usually aim for day one starters, There was no O-linemen that I saw that would start day one over the proven starters. and you do need a Aiyuk/Deebo replacement option going forward.

Judging by how Kyle operates, he doesnt play the best player over the most experience. Huff was special teams his first year, lenoir was a bench player behind Mosely, Burford, was never a starter and shared roles behind Brunskill.
We can assume there is always better, but when you are picking 31 in the draft, you are getting likely a 2nd or 3rd rd option
But I tell you what, prove me wrong, give me a guaranteed pick that you know would have been a day one starter, then tell me why no one else grabbed them if they were . We forget this is ONE pick out of TEN, be patient, no need to grab players to simply say we grabbed players, they would have been on the bench anyways

We all know it’s not what you did it’s what can you give in the present and Debo has been injury prone and it’s not a productive idea to keep him and I see Kyle can do something else with the money , I can see debo doing good on a shitty team .

You aren’t wrong. But neither has any other coach in over 25 years. He has gotten closer than everyone in that period consistently.
I definitely have issues with him as coach. But hopefully he follows Andy Reid’s Trajectory but only time will tell if he’ll be able to overcome his shortcomings
Both Jennings and Conley are solid so I think Pearsall is more of a Mccloud replacement.

I disagree about Pearsall being drafted to return punts, because he was drafted in the 1st round. I figure Pearsall will be the 3rd receiver who can get open.
All hail the NFL. There are many players who are paid far more than they are worth. Quarterbacks lead the list. Nonetheless, teams are beginning to pay wide receivers more than $25 million a year. Brandon Aiuyk reportedly wants that kind of money. He's good, but I believe a much less expensive player could replace him and achieve similar results. Pearsall may be the guy and the 49ers may not miss a beat.

This is not a great draft year for any position, not even QB, everyone is grabbing for positions but not good players to fill position. You want us to draft a guy to say we simply drafted a guy, and in reality, players who are not expected to start.

There is no CB, O-linemen, that you can name that is even worth a first rd pick. There is a reason we grab FA Corners, because the draft aint where you fix it at pick 31
The fact is Niners went with a player that they thought would have the highest impact. I would’ve like to seen tackle but they didn’t go that route because they thought Colton was better than any option. This also sets up San Francisco to stay relevant down the line encase they have to move off an expensive wr.

We have a strong core. Line on both sides needs help. Drafting someone already in the NFL is a safe bet but low ceilings... Picking up a rookie is a risk but potential for a high ceiling
