      @Russian Bot #568984 Well, Russian Bot, maybe that is a respectable response time in Siberia, but my common sense, along with the loss of life, tells me that this response time is unacceptable. My common sense also tells me that the house in the picture wasn't exactly 30 miles off the beaten path in the middle of nowhere. I'm going to assume that you are not from America and you have no idea what we consider an acceptable response time.

      @Russian Bot #568984 Guess I'm not as clever as you are. My username is my name. Yours says Russian- my guess is you just might be Russian- especially if you think it is appropriate to take 35 minutes to get law enforcement on a scene like this. Btw,vthe average time 911 takes to get a cop on the scene of an active shooter in America- 3 minutes. They took well over 10 times the national average. You're dismissed.

But the way his original case was laughed off and he was the one that got in trouble for reporting it is the biggest double standard ever, because we all know that if the rolls were flipped and he did that to her, then he'd get a sexual assault charge.

    Idk how much I believe the “arm grab” story.
    Your crush wants to hook up, most people are thrilled. Even if you don’t want to fit whatever reason, you don’t consider it assault.
    I think HE tried to make a move on her, she rejected him, and his warped brain twisted her “leading him on” into an assault

    • @elduderino7767
      @elduderino7767 2 роки тому

      you're wrong, he didn't have a crush on her - nothing suggests this, it's just a though offered by mike which demonstrates his incredibly poor research on the case
      and it was more than an arm pull, it was sexual assault involving groping as well as shaming - that is sexual assault, go try it and see what happens to you
      the reality is no one believed him and it cost him everything he valued in life - he had nothing to live for after that
      now he went with the nuclear option - obviously he wasn't right in the head, this was compounded by firstly the sexual assault and then most critical a failure of the coast guard (authorities) as well as his support group - friends and family
      without restitution, let alone acknowledgement he figured he had nothing left
      interestingly the psychiatrists from both the defence AND PROSECUTION thought that he WASN'T CRIMINALLY RESPONSIBLE

      No!!! You don't understand autism! He doesn't see things the same way we do. He's not "crazy", but he doesn't do well socially, even though he wants to. Physical touch can be VERY hard for people with autism! He likes the idea of something better than the actuality, especially if it includes physical contact. Plus, they tend to fixate hard on rules, well on anything, they fixate! They tend to become perfectionists in their areas. Somewhere along the lines he had sexual harassment training, so that and any morals he has about being with someone else's sig other meshed but not like you and I...we would reason them out and either throw caution to the wind or walk away. He couldn't it literally was like throwing a switch for him! He also didn't mean to cause a problem with telling the jury, "guilty", he was basically saying, I get it, it's the truth and it's fine. I actually found that sweet, but that's because I have been working very closely and in depth with people that have autism and other special needs for over 25 years.

    Asperger syndrome is a developmental divergence that manifests itself in limited social interaction and non-average development of language and communication (especially non-verbal) and in repetitive patterns of behavior and narrow interests and focus. Autistics often exhibit a number of other, less specific problems such as hypersensitivity to sensory impressions, phobic anxiety, sleep disorders, tantrums, and self-harming behaviors. The diagnosis Asperger's differs from other forms of autism in that it often does not interfere with language and cognitive development,

    It's really horrible that this guy invented the concept of blowing a meaningless nonevent into sexual assault and felt persecuted by authorities when they laughed about it. Only an unattractive man would do something so insane, and no one in any position of influence would ever say that we ought to believe such an accuser's claims without evidence, let alone all men, as that would be absolutely bonkers.

      and heres the thing, no one believed him, his chief laughed at him when he brought it up and ultimately it cost him his future professional career
      even mike who you'd think actually looked into this doesn't have the story straight
      interestingly both psychologists that evaluated him on both the defence and the prosecution didn't find him criminally responsible for the crime

      Seems like he has a great imagination, so it could be used drama queen.
      Probably why he went to complain about her to the military. He knows how the military Works, he probably thought it would affect her career. Go figure he was her supervisor and it affected his. And I'm quite certain that is the reason he did not get his promotion.

    • @smorgensterin4990

      I know the Coast Guard is a bit different from other military branches, but I get it--it's not always easy for women, so a man showing her kindness probably felt like a protective factor to her. She made a mistake of course, but it was handled, IMO, appropriately. They both received reprimand. Women often experience way, way worse in terms of actual assault and they're often too afraid to report. It's so gross that he blew it up so far out of proportion. I think he thought about killing her before it even happened...murdering someone for grabbing their arm is straight up mental. This is not a stable human being. The fact that he planned for it to be a murder suicide speaks volumes.
      He put himself in a bad position drinking with someone he was supervising, but I know that also happens a lot in the military. As soon as she came on to him, he should have made her leave/left (I'm not sure where they were). It's not like she could overpower him, she was inappropriate but this is problem that is easily solved before stuff escalated. Seems like a very fragile and immature man.

    Now, this guy's reaction was 0 to 100. Like, absolutely fucking insane. Her name was emily bates from wisbech/kings lynn there is a bit of info online in a couple of articles. It would mean an awful lot to me to know that upon release from prison, a video like yours would be there waiting to follow him around for the rest of his life - in return for the one he took.

    He definitely does fit the personality and some behaviors of a person with high functioning autism. I have spent 25 years working in the medical field, and in particular, with people that have special needs. The thinks that Mike razzes him about ARE the H.F. autistic traits, so this is the second one, that I don't see the humor, as much as I do the ignorance. My heart goes out to Adrian. My heart goes out to the ladies and the officer too, but he really does see life quite differently than you or I. Fantasy is okay but contact can be tough. Boundaries are tough for them. He meant to kill her but it was more to balance his world, he's not crazy, and knows right from wrong but the rest of his world/brain is almost like he plays a character, a starring role (in all HFA that I have worked with). He knows that he must interact with society on some levels but is not comfortable and wants to just do what he's supposed to and then get back to his comfort zone. If a person or two come into that zone and keep calm and don't upset the balance, he doesn't mind them, he might allow them back but otherwise just knowing they are out there so he can weave the story to fit him, is ideal. We are too unpredictable and often contadict what they view as right in their world. Ugh it's so tough to explain. Yes he's sane, no he did not do what he did in cruelty, to him it was effecient and necessary. Most people with any form of autism have trouble with physical contact. I feel so sad that his bosses didn't know, nobody did, not even him, which could have been very beneficial. Sad all around!

      Appreciate this comment as an autistic person. I don’t love the term “special needs” as it tends to imply a hierarchy within which neurotypical or non-autistic people are superior in some way rather than just different. But, other than that, this was an excellent explanation. I instantly clocked him as autistic at the start of the video.

You can override the numbness but as soon as you stop your fingers contract again. Just bc you’re driving doesn’t mean you can’t get a panic attack and the only thing you can do is work through it until you can pull over. This guy is disgusting but panic/anxiety disorder is a real thing and it affects the best and worst of us and I felt his panic watching that clip. Not to take sides. But let's say. He would have grabbed her and solicited sex. And she made a complaint. What would that outcome be? The Coast Guard failed all 3. Sexual assault in any form should not be taken lightly. Male or female. This conclusion would be totally different if the "female" would have been mind raped. That is why so many men that are abused in any way, dont speak out. Granted. Murder is murder. A killing is a killing. Both sexes should be treated equally in any event. Everyone reacts to trauma differently. Walk in someone's shoes before judging anyone. I mean he took this to another level. But the Coast Gaurd reprimanding him for someone else's misbehaving led to this. All cases brought forward should be non biased because of gender. The outcome could be deadly if not so.....

      It's kind of a strange thing to feel like a murderer was let down when reporting being a victim, but I do agree with you - any claims of sexual assault no matter who or what should be taken seriously. It's hard to settle these two separate things in regards to this guy, I think

    • @kenton6098
      @kenton6098 4 роки тому +1

      Adrian was a pussy who should have just walked away from that situation, and not reported it. And the same if the genders were reversed. People make a big deal over small issues these days.

    • @VomitPinata
      @VomitPinata 4 роки тому +7

      Not even close. The situation most likely would've played out exactly like this, only without the murders. The military has a long, deep history of ignoring & covering up claims of sexual assault on women. It rarely got handled or taken seriously AT ALL until very recently. In fact, more often than not, the female that reported it would be reprimanded, punished, targeted by her peers as a snitch and/or have her reputation destroyed by her superiors. Easily verified by about 30sec of research if you're interested.

    • @RUESPEED1
      @RUESPEED1 4 роки тому +2

      I wouldn't have reported it. She would have gotten what she wanted. And most people wouldn't either. The thing is...that it was. And he was punished for it. That is the moral of this story. And the outcome was that someone died. Like I mentioned before. We all are going to take things differently. Not the same destiny I suppose. But a different road traveled to reach our destination. I'm sure there are days that we may let things go. And others " don't even look my way". That is like your in a store. Someone's not wearing a mask. Police are called. Doesn't matter who. And you get cited for harrassment. I'm sure we all would be ticked off from that outcome. We can go around this subject and it all comes back to the same conclusion. It was reported and he got the bag for it. Everyone is one step from going cuckoo. High school crush. An affair. Wrongfully terminated from a job. Family member hurt. But most will perservier. It all depends on the trigger. It was his shoes. Not mine. I think he. Hanging around her so much. Wanted to make the move. But she took that power away from. Go figure. Wanted to hook up with her. And she came to him. Smh. Maybe cause she was drunk. And thought that was the only way he could get with her. But not the way he wanted. I look at things in an inner outer circumstance. Maybe he was not the sharpest in the shed. But the Coast Gaurd definetly had a hand in this. Totally. If something is reported no matter how we may all look at it. It should be taken seriously. Regardless. There are many domestic incidents that are not fair. And an otherwise "normal" person has snapped because they've been wronged. Seen it many times. You ask friends. Family. Coworkers. Well. They were a good person, never no problems. Until that unfaithful day. Now they are labeled a monster. Though they saved 100 children from a burning buildings throughout their life. Go figure. The mind and temperment of a person is fragile. Doesn't take much to say " fukit"...... There's been many times I wanna take someone's head off. But with a lil push. Who knows.

What surprises me is that no one was able to tell that something was up with him and try to intervene. It's obvious he didn't get that way overnight. Just goes to show you that you have to use more caution with how you treat some people. Although some are more fragile, they can be equally as dangerous and their grip on reality is usually hanging on by a thread already. All it takes is one little trivial thing that they interpret as a slight to throw them off the rails. Once that happens, they're usually not capable of turning back.
