April 28, 2023: Oh Isabelle that third fall when you chuckled I did too. A video from two years back that I watched today explained to me why both of you love hiking and gave a such incredible history of where you are visiting. You both are teachers in science. In the future, your students will be so motivated by your experiences and continue their own journey also. I’ve camped in the military in conditions such as this in tiny tents also. Great that you are warm for the sleep.
Good effort the pair of you..always a joy seeing Iz swinging those arm's and bringing the happy vibe's..and great camera work and editing Tom as always 😀
Yeah, I'm sitting here looking out at the grey sludge that passes for weather here in Ireland. I can so totally relate to that video. Never mind the Himalaya's with pristine, dry, cold and sunshine and spectacular colours. This is the real deal. Fair dues gang. Another brilliant video. Wind, rain, snow, mud, wet tents and all the time freezing. Yep, that was fun .... (to watch !!).
Well done, impressed with your stamina, grit and positive attitude in the face of adversity (45mph winds). Great to see you continuing with your adventures. Take care, see you on the next video........xx
Looks like you had a 'Fun' time walking around where I live. It really does have some fantastic views that, I suppose, I don't see anymore having always lived here. Glad you enjoyed it even in the rain and wind!
Hello Isabel and Tom, very much looking forward to your trekking the wilds of your native UK. First episode showed a rough situation with weather and rains, blustery to say the least !!! But you both stuck to the challenge. Now please , hope the Weather Gods cooperate on your next treks and destinations. Be Well and THANK YOU for sharing your adventures to the wild locations of your home country. Best always, Bernie -- in Minnesota USA
With this video it shows that you are back and on it. Brilliant. Great filming, story telling, editing and a great choice of music. This video reminded me why I loved, and hated camping under canvas! Thank you and stay safe you two.
You should go to Anglesey in North Wales. Or you could walk the South Downs Way end to end from Winchester in the west all the way to Eastbourne (or the other way round).
Hey Tom & Iz. Great to have you back in familiar landscapes. Take care and enjoy. You too are brave, very gutsy and your determination is overpowering. I walk huge distances guys and I never allow the weather to depress or deter me. We’ll done you too. Iz, your spirit and wit never seems to wane.
Hi Tom & Isobel, what a trek !!! Pleased you managed to get some decent food at the end. A well deserved medal each🏅🥇. Isobel gets the gold for her amazing trips 🙂. I hope you both stay warm, dry and safe, and that the weather improves. Thank you for sharing your amazing adventure.
Nice work, good to blast things out even when you don’t want to or the weather is off putting. Good end too with a nice wee plant based bad boy. All the best
Still no trekking poles? Haha I guess you need to learn this the hard way. You got no idea how much they help up hills or walking on the mud and other doggy areas :)
Hard going when the weather isn't on your side and you're tired due to lack of quality sleep (Only die hards sleep well in tents). You did it guys👏👏. Anyone that has walked the coast path in high winds knows the effort you endured. Izzy got stung on the bum...... I spat my tea laughing when she mentioned it🤣🤣🤣🤣
Smashed it guys! Well played, we didn't even bother going out in the van last few weeks as it was so cold and windy so we have been shamed here with your efforts 😂.
May 13 2023: My third go around with this video. Isabele your third slip had me laughing again. I was so glad you were okay but thanks for the up in my spirit.
Guys, I know this might sound weird but I'm so proud of you both. You traversed Scotland and Ireland in a campervan. Then took on the milder climes of Continental Europe and then like mad people decided to pop over to little old Nepal for a few months. But, that wasn't the end of the madness now you are back in blighty in the middle of winter camping in a tent. You are doing what so many of us would like to have the balls to do but don't. Its lovely to see how close you both are and the way you both seem to know each other so well. I'm sure you have "small" diss-agreements but you are taking these shared experiences and challenges in your stride as a couple. I love the way you support each other *blush*. And obviously the highlights of all your videos for me is Tom's Ireland cap ! (stay safe and stay warm, check out the Metkiio heater, might be an idea for your tent)
People underestimate camping in Winter in the UK. They see people on UA-cam out there, on moors, up hills and mountains, nice sunsets, a bit of rain and snow. So off they pop! Forgetting that many contributors are only out for the night or two and have top of the range gear that will naturally be heavier than 3 season stuff. Several days and nights of cold wet weather, never getting fully dry or warm, your kit getting damp when you are setting up and taking down And just the effort of fighting the weather, as you two did, really takes it out of you. So massive respect for showing that. It’s way to get overwhelmed and before you know it you are in trouble. If you are going out there in Winter, or consistently wet and windy weather, make sure your kit is up to it, you are up to it and you have a backup plan for if/when you get into trouble. Make you you and all your party know how to spot the early signs of going down with exhaustion, lack of hydration and hyper and hypothermia. Go, but be safe.
Ahh well done you too! You were in my neck of the woods and I could have bought you that pint I offered you some months back. In fact you were very close to the best pub in the world (Square & Compass) who allow camping in the garden. Next time maybe. Safe travels.
Another fabulous adventure it was funny ye both slipping on the mud but I’m so glad ye made it onwards snd upwards ye keep going. Beautiful scenery along the way
You two are brilliant. I'm so glad I found your channel. Such a journey but having seen you in Napal I know you have no problem with UK. So proud of you both especially with that rain and wind. Take care.
Well done, you two, winter camping us not easy at all. That was a great adventure, one ye will laugh at over, and over again in many years to come. The man of War beach looks beautiful.
Hey Tom & Iz Nice to see you braving it out there in those storms and brought even closer because I live in these parts.. Great channel, love your content..Looking forward to more adventures 🤙🏻
You guys are very resilient. I would not want to take on a walk like that in winter. I hope you got the bus back to your van. Hope you're toasty warm again now. Have a great week. 🥰🔥💚
Really enjoyed your challenge sat here with the central heating on lol :o) ..seriously though, I really admire your stamina Tom & Izzy, a big well done on completing this hike in those conditions !
Hi guys you are amazing putting yourself through all of these challenges and you come out the other end with a big smile on your face. I can’t wait to see the beautiful scenery from your next adventure.Lots of love and prayers 😊🏝🦋💖🦮 Safe Travels
Good work you two. That bit of coast is hard going particularly in bad weather. We did this stretch of the coastal path a couple of years ago when we were completing the south west coast path and it was the muddiest bit as you clearly showed in your video!
Good stuff guys! Looking forwards to more lost in tent....I would suggest maybe upgrading to a waterproof tent though 😅. Also, a decent air mattress will be smaller and as light as those awful thin foam rolls, and they make a HUGE difference to how much heat you lose to the ground and how comfortable your night is. Keep smashing it!
Yeah they are actually yoga mats, haha. We are desperately under equipped but wanted to go camping. We might give it a couple of months and invest in some new toys but both really want to do some more camping 🏕️
Well done!! A friend of ours and his wife backpacked the south west coastal path, they worked out that the total ascent on the route equalled climbing Everest!! Keep going!! Ernie and Janet! (Retired backpackers!)
I started going up the hills here in Scotland just over a year ago. Loved it and round about my third time up there last February I put on my kilt and headed up. Had a great time climbing hills and walking through heather and was quite a few miles away from the nearest civilization when the Sun started to go down . Straight away this eerie otherwordly freezing mist rose from the ground...went straight up my kilt...and clutched my heart. I was like "ooooh wow!" "I'm in trouble" "I'm in trouble" and headed for home forcemarched the whole way there. It felt like if I stopped moving I wasn't getting off those hills. I seriously empathize with you whatever happened. Just watching now.
Aaa the weather is not very on hiking. This wind intensifies the cold by a few degrees. I can see you autumn weather, winter for me. Hold your warmth-best regards!
Well done guys. I live just down the road from Durdle For at Osmington Mills. If I'd known you were there, I'd have bought you something hot. It's tough terrain that path.
Fair play guys, that looked like a very difficult last day and night. I have been wanting to do a trip like this for a long time, good inspo for me to get back out without navigating neena 😁
Hey Jeff, Can’t believe this video encouraged anyone to leave their van, hahaha. Maybe wait for slightly better weather 🥶 Good to hear from you, hope all is well with you guys over on the Emerald Isle
You both are very determined people and that's to be commended reminds me of taking scouts to camp. Will never forget the smell of a damp tent and soggy feet. 🤭😊 Don't be so hard on yourselves we love what you do 🇮🇪😂
Must have been made all the harder by videoing it! Your van will feel like a palace in comparison. Amazing views, but glad I was viewing it from my sofa and warmth.

Add some hot hands hand warmers in to your sleeping bags its heavenly with the cold weather up in Scotland

Absolutely loved this video, nutters!!!! 👍
Well done, impressed with your stamina, grit and positive attitude in the face of adversity (45mph winds). Great to see you continuing with your adventures. Take care, see you on the next video........xx
Engaging , educational and well edited. Better than some of the stuff we see on mainstream Tv. Love it !
Looks like you had a 'Fun' time walking around where I live. It really does have some fantastic views that, I suppose, I don't see anymore having always lived here. Glad you enjoyed it even in the rain and wind!

Yeah I dear day my bum would have been a fair bit less muddy if we had some poles! I’m starting to be won around
Hard going when the weather isn't on your side and you're tired due to lack of quality sleep (Only die hards sleep well in tents).

Really enjoyed this . Full of enthusiasm, information and humour. It felt really professional. 👍👍
I started going up the hills here in Scotland just over a year ago.
Loved it and round about my third time up there last February I put on my kilt and headed up.

Amazing guys that was tough. Enjoy the rest. 👍🇮🇪
I enjoyed watching this tucked up under a warm duvet. And I'm not a bit sorry.
Must have been made all the harder by videoing it! Your van will feel like a palace in comparison. Amazing views, but glad I was viewing it from my sofa and warmth.
Fair play guys! Big struggle but worth it in the end! I'd say you need better camping mats for that kind of weather!
That was amazing guys. Well done 😊
Nepal's flag on the bag, I Loved it.
Hats off to you braving the weather and all that mud. How did you get back to the van?
I hope you still have your ears Tom😊 looks amazing but maybe in the summer for us.. I do very much enjoy your vids.. Thank you guys.

As soon as I saw the route my first thought was "Well, that's a windy challenge". Next time do it west to east and take a kite to pull you!
