Big shout out to Warro for selling me his Honda Forza and for loanign me his stunning Hammy at the same time. The lack of collar and cuff matching with the logo is the only fly in this particular ointment. It is a stunner and I quite want one. Cheers, Jody
Love Hamilton in general the only “issue” I have with their chronographs is the thickness. I owned a Hamilton Aviation Chronograph reverse panda H765160, beautiful watch very similar to this Intramatic and sold it only bc of the thickness. 14.7mm is not too bad for this one, automatic version is closer to 15.5 I think, every mm past 14.0 you can really feel on the wrist.
Was concerned about this too before purchasing the auto version but can’t even notice thickness on wrist.
That's the drawback to the most mechanical chronographs. Takes a lot of room to cram in all those complications.

@@breeladd9610 in the video it looks like at least a millimeter of its 14.7 is the box crystal, so, yeah, I don't see it feeling too thick.
This one being a mechanical is definitely better then most automatic chronos with eta 7750/7753
I recently got a Junghans Meister Telemeter Chronoscope and must say feels really good on the wrist. Eta 2892 with a modular chronograph, 12.5mm thick. I know its not a “real” chronograph and it can be a pain to service but the slim case made me pull a trigger.
This Chronograph by Hamilton is one of the best looking chronographs ever made period! At around $2000 usd it is well priced for a Valjoux powered watch
The movement is alright but that's also all there is worth talking about here. The design of the watch case is very disappointing, the dial...... can it be more boring🥱?

Having owned ten Hamilton Khaki Field watches, you cannot beat the accuracy of movement and build quality for the price. Beautiful watch. Great review. Hamilton has the magic.

@@tactofu I am a serial flipper! Four watches only in my collection. And no Hamilton at the moment. Once the Christmas dust settles, I can introduce the idea of a new Hamilton to my wife.
I’ll be saving up for this one. I love the Hamilton brand, and they got it perfect with this Chrono. The mesh bracelet took it over the finish line for me. Absolutely stunning!

I have the H Intramatic auto (regular Panda) Auto with date and it is easily my favorite in the collection. Shocking how well it wears considering the thickness. Excellent review as always! 😎👍🏼

Mechanical watch lovers tend to like motorcycles and aircraft I have noticed. Don't forget my top bike tip ,fit your Casio to the handlebars with a bit if foam pipe insulation underneath.😁
Hamilton has a great history, and their railway pocket watches were top shelf quality pieces as well.
Congratulations on joining the bike family. It's easy to be a bike guy, when you're a car guy. Having an engine under you is a very mechanical thing, something most watch peeps should be able to appreciate. I love this watch. I'd get the mesh, and mostly wear it on a rally strap.
This is a watch I‘d gift my dad. He is not a typical watch guy but no one can deny the beauty of this watch
Several months ago I bought the Hamilton Intra-Matic Mechanical Chronograph Automatic watch with date at 6 o'clock and leather strap. This is a stunning watch with a pander dial, despite the thickness I just love this watch, 27 jewels and the famous top notch movement.
Yes, very nice indeed. They did a find job of compensating for the thickness. It wears really well on my smallish wrist.
The title says it all. This thing is the business. And for what it's worth, I like the modern Hamilton script on the clasp and the vintage on the dial for some reason 🙂
I bought this one as christmas present for myself and I'm in love with it. I bought also a Hirsch leather strap because sometimes the mesh bracelet is a bit to much
Ive done 75,000 miles on my honda 125cc scoot, around Bath Uk delivering grub. in 5 years.. riding a scoot is really easy, hop on hop of, practical and cheap.. nice watch and i sub to warro! 9.97k subs now.

The Hamilton interstellar Day Date was a bit of a grail watch...bought that last year and I love it. This one also looks great but a touch too expensive for me.

A grail of mine, great video. just got my blue scuba dude Favinov dial and hands. Brushed my case and got a signed crown and black 1-20 minute increments lume bezel

This Hammy is definitely on my list. They really got this chrono right &, if I’m honest, I’m actually ok with the modern logo font on the clasp. It feels kinda like a nod to the glorious past but with a reverent little reminder that this is a resurrected design to satisfy the tastes of those in the present. Great video as always!

I instantly fell in love when i first saw this chrono - but it really is a chunky piece even on my 7.3" wrist. Also, i didn't like the two different logos on dial and buckle. Solution: I got a Dan Henry 1964! On the downside it's a meca-quartz instead of an auto and the buckle is pressed BUT it's only 12mm thick and it comes on a very nice beads-of-rice bracelet. I also got a second leather strap in the watch roll and because it's quartz i can grab it and go without setting the time first. For me it's the better buy and i wear it for work very often because it slides under cuff easily.
A meca quartz is not a downside.
I ordered it this morning! I’ve been going back-and-forth on this one… I’m a huge fan of Hamilton… This will be the fourth in my collection and the first mechanical chronograph that doesn’t have the Chinese ST Movement in it! Thanks Jody!

I worked in a Bakery in Front of a watch Store. One of the guys whenever he buys tells me i should buy one he told me that 5 years ago. This panda style sells like only 1500 5 years ago. Now theyre more than 2 grand even used ones. I should have listened.

Man I love this watch. I’m so tempted to do a Grey Market purchase…new for $1400-$1500. I like this even more than the Omega Speedy. I did a Lunar Pilot purchase and gave the chronograph a good long wear to see if I liked them. My problem is, on the beads of rice I put that watch on, it makes it so beautiful I’d be hard pressed to want to sell it.
No matter…this one by Hamilton is a stunner.
This one has been on my list for about a year now since I seen another review on it. I absolutely love it. I prefer the panda dial to the reverse panda, but still beautiful!
I’ve had a few Hamilton watches. Always enjoy them and have one in the collection at all times. I think they are some of the best bang for buck watch brands out there. Keep up the good content.

Hamilton great brand no matter which one you get ... my favorite right now is the Champagne dial Khaki King that Shane (another youtuber) has.

Jody - be careful with Sydney area traffic on that bike. I remember thinking, "Thank Gawd I didn't rent a car" when I visited. Traffic in Hobart and rest of Tasmania was scary enough when I rented car there. Melbourne didn't seem as scary traffic wise as Sydney.
I love that watch. My 6 year old niece thought the dial looked like a 'peeved robot'. She is not wrong. Punk sounds better live.
Congrats on joining the two wheel club, I love bikes and have been riding for over 20 years. Not seen Worro’s channel so thanks for the recommendation, I do tune in to Mark Victor over in Bendigo and his Biker Bits channel, which is worth a watch. Thanks to you I picked up my first Swiss watch, the Hamilton Interstellar Cooper, just before Christmas. It’s a great watch, I really love it, so much so I’m thinking of selling off the rest of my watches (apart from the do it all G Shock). Cheers Jody from a rainy Cornwall!

Well - yes. Just all kinds of yes. Nice clean face arrangement. Typically responsive chrono pushers attached to a tried and true movement. Just the right combination of new and retro to satisfy. And even a doable price. I like it.
Having a seagull 1963 for quite some time now this might just be the upgrade should I decide to have one. Thanks for show casing this lovely watch

Nice looking chronograph. I have a Certina and a Hamilton both claim 100m water resistance without a screw down crown. I don't know how long they will stay water resistant so I treat them as if they are not at all.
I picked one up about two months ago. It's an amazing watch, regardless of price point.
Like so many other Swiss brands wait till they hit the used market and save over 50%
Hamilton, Certina, Mido, Longines and lower cost Swatch group brands all generally offer good value for money, probably the advantage of the group purchasing power.

A classy dial that. The Valjoux 775X movements may be a bit on the thick side but they are a very well proven workhorse that should be easy to get serviced although like any chronograph it will cost more to service than a time only movement as you would expect..
I paid $365 for my Hamilton khaki chrono 7750 about 11 years ago. I paid that much to service a watch that I purchased for $550 in 2005.

Beautiful watch, seriously considering this even though I don't need a chronograph. Probably go leather because i think the mesh are always too blingy.
Hamilton chronographs of these types, both automatic and manual wind, are pretty great value and handsome timepieces. I had the automatic blue reverse panda version which was awesome and ran excellent. Quite accurate or of the box. One of the best solid crown actions I've experienced.
Even though this one you have here is a mechanical version, I was surprised to learn the overall thickness was not reduced that much.. I believe it is still only less than 1mm thicker than the automatic. I get there are some layering tricks to make it appear a little slimmer. Still, having the rotor removed should have allowed for a more significant thinner case over the automatic version.
Lastly, the lugs on both the auto and manual wind versions could have been shorter and maybe angled down a little more. If you look closer at the vintage models from which these are inspired by, they are noticeably shorter.. and, they were actually smaller case too. So, I don't understand why they had to make the lugs longer on and already larger case size. They definitely could have shorten the lugs a tad.
On my automatic version, I would have preferred instead of automatic on the dial it would have read Chrono-matic or Intra-matic. I believe the vintage ones had that and the full name of the model does include Intra-matic. Idk, I generally find it pointless to tell me it's an automatic on the dial and would have preferred the retro text of Chrono-matic or Intra-matic instead.
I have a 1969 chrono-matic. At 37mm with a lug to lug of 41mm it wears excellent on my smallish wrist. It's still chunky but was designed to hide the fact and still isn't as chunky as modern interpretations.
I have a panda automatic on its way. Can't wait.

Lovely watch and 100m water resistant, but I still wouldn't take it in the water, it's far too nice to risk it in the water. The title is spot on simply stunning, stunningly simple 👌 the perfect description. Nice Jody 😉👍
